Pedestrian wind flow prediction using spatial-frequency generative adversarial network

Pedestrian wind flow is a critical factor in designing livable residential environments under growing complex urban conditions.Predicting pedestrian wind flow during the early design stages is essential but currently suffers from inefficiencies in numerical simulations.Deep learning,particularly generative adversarial networks(GAN),has been increasingly adopted as an alternative method to provide efficient prediction of pedestrian wind flow.However,existing GAN-based wind flow prediction schemes have limitations due to the lack of considering the spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow images.This study proposes a novel approach termed SFGAN,which embeds spatial and frequency characteristics to enhance pedestrian wind flow prediction.In the spatial domain,Gaussian blur is employed to decompose wind flow into components containing wind speed and distinguished flow edges,which are used as the embedded spatial characteristics.Detailed information of wind flow is obtained through discrete wavelet transformation and used as the embedded frequency characteristics.These spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow are jointly utilized to enforce consistency between the predicted wind flow and ground truth during the training phase,thereby leading to enhanced predictions.Experimental results demonstrate that SFGAN clearly improves wind flow prediction,reducing Wind_MAE,Wind_RMSE and the Fréchet Inception Distance(FID)score by 5.35%,6.52%and 12.30%,compared to the previous best method,respectively.We also analyze the effectiveness of incorporating the spatial and frequency characteristics of wind flow in predicting pedestrian wind flow.SFGAN reduces errors in predicting wind flow at large error intervals and performs well in wake regions and regions surrounding buildings.The enhanced predictions provide a better understanding of performance variability,bringing insights at the early design stage to improve pedestrian wind comfort.The proposed spatial-frequency loss term is general and can be flexibly inte

In addition to their many well-known advantages(e.g.,ultra-high porosity,good pore size distribution,easy functionalization,and structural tolerability),metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)are a new class of advanced functional materials.However,their backbones are highly susceptible to deformation after exposure to acidic or alkaline conditions.As a result of lithium-ion batteries embedding or detaching directly from MOFs,they irreversibly collapse.As a result,they fail to maintain their electrochemical performance.These factors have hindered the development of MOFs as direct electrode materials,making the design of MOF materials with controlled morphology and stable dimensions a new challenge.In this study,we adopted a versatile and effective method to synthesize a novel MOF material(NiCo-BP(BP=BTC/phen and BTC=1,3,5-benzenetricarboxylic acid))using the rigid ligands 1,10-phenanthroline and homobenzotrizoic acid,and the emergence of the Ni-O/N and Co-O/N coordination layers was observed by extended X-ray absorption fine structure(EXAFS)tests,indicating that Ni and Co were coordinated with heterocyclic N-given atoms to form a stable p-πconjugated structure.Meanwhile,the metal-ion is attached to the carboxylic acid ligand on the other side,making the metal-organic skeleton complete and robust.The nanosphere structure of NiCo-BP(~400 nm)allows for full exposure and utilisation of the active sites,especially the Ni,Co,and phenanthroline units,and exhibit impressively high specific capacity and cycling stability.At a high current density of 1.0 A·g^(−1),a high discharge specific capacity of 631.6 mAh·g^(−1)was obtained after 1000 cycles.The co-participation of two organic ligands in the coordination is in accordance with the theory of soft and hard acids and bases,which contributes to the ability of the material to maintain a high capacity in cycling as well as its cyclic stability.

Multidimensional autophagy nano-regulator boosts Alzheimer's disease treatment by improving both extra/intraneuronal homeostasis

Intraneuronal dysproteostasis and extraneuronal microenvironmental abnormalities in Alzheimer’s disease(AD)collectively culminate in neuronal deterioration.In the context of AD,autophagy dysfunction,a multi-link obstacle involving autophagy downregulation and lysosome defects in neurons/microglia is highly implicated in intra/extraneuronal pathological processes.Therefore,multidimensional autophagy regulation strategies co-manipulating“autophagy induction”and“lysosome degradation”in dual targets(neuron and microglia)are more reliable for AD treatment.Accordingly,we designed an RP-1 peptide-modified reactive oxygen species(ROS)-responsive micelles(RT-NM)loading rapamycin or gypenoside XVII.Guided by RP-1 peptide,the ligand of receptor for advanced glycation end products(RAGE),RT-NM efficiently targeted neurons and microglia in AD-affected region.This nanocombination therapy activated the whole autophagy-lysosome pathway by autophagy induction(rapamycin)and lysosome improvement(gypenoside XVII),thus enhancing autophagic degradation of neurotoxic aggregates and inflammasomes,and promoting Aβ phagocytosis.Resultantly,it decreased aberrant protein burden,alleviated neuroinflammation,and eventually ameliorated memory defects in 3×Tg-AD transgenic mice.Our research developed a multidimensional autophagy nano-regulator to boost the efficacy of autophagy-centered AD therapy.

Electromagnetic Radiation Mechanism Analysis and Field Strength Prediction of an Elementary Digital Inverter with Cables

In this paper,common mode(CM)and differential mode(DM)far-field radiation models of a typical digital inverter with cables are built up to predict electromagnetic field strength and analyze field characteristics.The CM current model and its analyses are based on the imbalance difference method.It is found out that the voltage between the drain and the source electrodes of upper transistor is the key equivalent source of electromagnetic interference(EMI).Far-field radiation strength of the digital inverter in free space is predicted by using the asymmetrical antenna radiation method and current loop radiation method.The accuracy of these methods is verified by the CST electromagnetic simulation results in the frequency range from 1 MHz to 400 MHz.Furthermore,the radiation models are improved by using the mirror method,which enables to include the reflection effect of the metal ground plane at the electromagnetic compatibility(EMC)test site.Both the results of measurements in a semi-anechoic chamber and the simulation results confirm the proposed electromagnetic radiation prediction method.

Resource pre-allocation algorithms for low-energy task scheduling of cloud computing

In order to lower the power consumption and improve the coefficient of resource utilization of current cloud computing systems, this paper proposes two resource pre-allocation algorithms based on the ＂shut down the redundant, turn on the demanded＂ strategy here. Firstly, a green cloud computing model is presented, abstracting the task scheduling problem to the virtual machine deployment issue with the virtualization technology. Secondly, the future workloads of system need to be predicted： a cubic exponential smoothing algorithm based on the conservative control（CESCC） strategy is proposed, combining with the current state and resource distribution of system, in order to calculate the demand of resources for the next period of task requests. Then, a multi-objective constrained optimization model of power consumption and a low-energy resource allocation algorithm based on probabilistic matching（RA-PM） are proposed. In order to reduce the power consumption further, the resource allocation algorithm based on the improved simulated annealing（RA-ISA） is designed with the improved simulated annealing algorithm. Experimental results show that the prediction and conservative control strategy make resource pre-allocation catch up with demands, and improve the efficiency of real-time response and the stability of the system. Both RA-PM and RA-ISA can activate fewer hosts, achieve better load balance among the set of high applicable hosts, maximize the utilization of resources, and greatly reduce the power consumption of cloud computing systems.

疾病传播的研究使得对疫情分布和发展的预测更为准确。现有的疾病传播模型对不同城市间流动人口对疾病传播造成的影响研究较少,为此,该文提出了具有活跃节点的多层网络作用下的时滞SEQS(Susceptible-Exposed-Quarantined-Susceptible)模型。其中,时滞SEQS重点研究疾病潜伏期、恢复期及恢复后可再次感染等特性对传播行为的影响,模型中每层静态网络表示不同城市的社交网络,活跃节点表示城市间流动人口,活跃节点的存在使得该多层网络具有时变性,同时模型引入检测机制,以隔离态节点为中心,对在其检测半径内的邻接节点进行检测。研究表明,该模型的传播行为最终演化状态存在3种主要模式:稳态、周期性振荡和非周期性振荡,在能有效降低疾病传染率的情况下,划定精准检测范围可有效控制疾病大规模传播。

目的通过运用连续“计划-执行-检查-处理(plan-do-check-act,PDCA)”循环改进法促进医院物资采购工作的规范化和工作质量的持续改进。方法2019年1月—2022年12月将PDCA法运用于医院医疗设备、试剂耗材和后勤物资采购工作,在调研、分析的基础上,制订了一系列制度并强化制度执行,对第1轮PDCA循环中发现问题进行分类、分析,开展了第2轮和第3轮PDCA。结果运用连续PDCA法,医院物资采购工作的规范化和工作质量得到持续改进。结论通过树立预算意识、完善制度流程、加强信息化建设、注重协作沟通等综合措施,运用连续PDCA法确实能够有效提升采购工作质量,保证医院采购工作的规范性。

Background: Insomnia is a commonly seen symptom in adolescents with major depressive disorder(MDD).The suprachiasmatic nucleus(SCN), which is the circadian rhythm regulation center, plays a crucial role in the regulation of sleepwake circulation.Nevertheless, how SCN function contributes to the exact neural mechanisms underlying the associations between insomnia and depressive symptoms has not been explored in adolescents.In the current study, we aimed to explore the relationship between SCN functional connectivity(FC) and insomnia symptoms in adolescents with MDD using a seed-based FC method.Methods: In the current study, we recruited sixty-eight first-episode drug-na?ve adolescents with MDD and classified them into high insomnia(MDD-HI) and low insomnia(MDD-LI) groups according to the sleep disturbance subscale of the Hamilton Depression Rating Scale(HAMDS).Forty-three age/gender-matched healthy controls(HCs) were also *** FC maps were generally for all subjects and compared among three groups using one-way ANOVA with age, gender and adjusted HAMD score as covariates.We used partial correlations to explore associations between altered FC and clinical symptoms, including sleep quality scores.Results: Adolescents with MDD showed worse sleep quality, which positively correlated with the severity of depression.Compared to MDD-LI and HCs, MDD-HI adolescents demonstrated significantly decreased FC between the right SCN and bilateral precuneus, and there was no significant difference between the MDD-LI and HC groups.The HAMDS scores were negatively correlated with bilateral SCN-precuneus connectivity, and the retardation factor score of HAMD was negatively correlated with right SCN-precuneus connectivity.Conclusion: The altered FC between the SCN and precuneus may underline the neural mechanism of sleep-related symptoms in depressive adolescents and provide potential targets for personalized treatment strategies.

Characteristics of secondary inorganic aerosol and sulfate species in size-fractionated aerosol particles in Shanghai

Sulfate, nitrate and ammonium （SNA） are the dominant species in secondary inorganic aerosol, and are considered an important factor in regional haze formation. Size-fractionated aerosol particles for a whole year were collected to study the size distribution of SNA as well as their chemical species in Shanghai. SNA mainly accumulated in fine particles and the highest average ratio of SNA to particulate matter （PM） was observed to be 47% in the fine size fraction （0.49-0.95 ~tm）. Higher sulfur oxidation ratio and nitrogen oxidation ratio values were observed in PM of fine size less than 0.95 ~tm. Ion balance calculations indicated that more secondary sulfate and nitrate would be generated in PM of fine size （0.49-0.95 p.m）. Sulfur K-edge X-ray absorption near-edge structure （XANES） spectra of typical samples were analyzed. Results revealed that sulfur mainly existed as sulfate with a proportion （atomic basis） more than 73% in all size of PM and even higher at 90% in fine particles. Sulfate mainly existed as （NH4）2SO4 and gypsum in PM of Shanghai. Compared to non-haze days, a dramatic increase of （NH4）2SO4 content was found in fine particles on haze days only, which suggested the promoting impact of （NH4）2SO4 on haze formation. According to the result of air mass backward trajectory analysis, more （NH4）2SO4 would be generated during the periods of air mass stagnation. Based on XANES, analysis of sulfate species in size-fractionated aerosol particles can be an effective way to evaluate the impact of sulfate aerosols on regional haze formation.

The BCCIP （BRCA2. and CDKNIA-interacting protein） is an important cofactor for BRCA2 in tumor suppression. Although the low expression of BCClP is observed in multiple clinically diagnosed primary tumor tissues such as ovarian cancer, renal cell carcinoma and col- orectal carcinoma, the mechanism of how BCCIP is regulated in cells is still unclear. The human INO80/YY1 chromatin remodeling complex composed of 15 sub- units catalyzes ATP-dependent sliding of nucleosomes along DNA. Here, we first report that BCClP is a novel target gene of the INO80/YY1 complex by presenting a series of experimental evidence. Gene expression studies combined with siRNA knockdown data locked candidate genes including BCCIP of the INO80/YY1 complex. Silencing or over-expressing the subunits of the INO80/YY1 complex regulates the expression level of BCCIP both in mRNA and proteins in cells. Also, the functions of INO80/YY1 complex in regulating the transactivation of BCCIP were confirmed by luciferase reporter assays. Chromatin immunoprecipitation （CHIP） experiments clarify the enrichment of INO80 and YY1 at ＋0.17 kb downstream of the BCClP transcriptional start site. However, this enrichment is significantly inhibited by either knocking down INO80 or YY1, suggesting the existence of both INO80 and YY1 is required for recruiting the INO80/YY1 complex to BCClP promoter region. Our findings strongly indicate that BCClP is a potential target gene of the INO80/YY1 complex.
