Acyl-CoA synthetase long chain family member 5(ACSL5),is a member of the acyl-CoA synthetases(ACSs)family that activates long chain fatty acids by catalyzing the synthesis of fatty *** dysregulation of ACSL5 has been reported in some cancers,such as glioma and colon ***,little is known about the role of ACSL5 in acute myeloid leukemia(AML).We found that the expression of ACSL5 was higher in bone marrow cells from AML patients compared with that from healthy ***5 level could serve as an independent prognostic predictor of the overall survival of AML *** AML cells,the ACSL5 knockdown inhibited cell growth both in vitro and in ***,the knockdown of ACSL5 suppressed the activation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway by suppressing the palmitoylation modification of ***,triacsin c,a pan-ACS family inhibitor,inhibited cell growth and robustly induced cell apoptosis when combined with ABT-199,the FDA approved BCL-2 inhibitor for AML *** results indicate that ACSL5 is a potential prognosis marker for AML and a promising pharmacological target for the treatment of molecularly stratified AML.

Analysis of volatile compounds in Herba Asari by single-drop micro-extraction gas chromatography mass spectrometry

A rapid headspace single-drop micro-extraction（mix） gas chromatography mass spectrometry（SDMEGC -MS） for the analysis of the volatile compounds in Herba Asari was developed in this study.A mixed solvent of n-tridecane and butyl acetate（1：1） was finally used for the extraction at 70 C for 15 min with sample amount of 0.750 g and 100 mesh particle *** the determined conditions,the pound samples of Herba Asari were directly applied for the ***-GC-MS,SPME-GC-MS and SD-GCMS methods were compared and the results showed that SDME-GC-MS method was a simple, inexpensive and effective way to measure the volatile compounds in Herba Asari and could be used for the analysis of volatile compounds in complex samples.

Improvement of location methods based on RFID

The most common location algorithms based on received signal strength （RSS） are location identification based on dynamic active radio frequency identification （LANDMARC） and virtual reference elimination （VIRE）. However, both the original algorithms suffer from some drawbacks. In this paper, several aspects of the two original algorithms have been modified to reduce the positioning errors. Firstly, Lagrange interpolation has been used instead of linear interpolation. Secondly, adaptive threshold has been introduced in the new algorithm. Thirdly, insert virtual reference tags to improve the location accuracy of the boundary of the sensing area. Finally, combine LANDMARC with VIRE to absorb both advantages. Compared with the original algorithms, on average, simulated results show that the modified algorithms can improve the location performance efficiently and achieve the goal of accurate positioning in indoor environment.

Safe and long lifespan batteries facilitate the development of portable electronics and electric *** to the low-cost,naturally abundance,and trivalent charge carrier of aluminum with the highest theoretical volumetric capacity,rechargeable aqueous aluminum-ion-based batteries are considered as promising next-generation secondary ***,traditional electrolytes and frequent collapse of the host structure of electrode materials greatly jeopardize the cycle stability of the ***,we develop a novel hydrogel-based electrolyte coupled with stable layered intercalation electrodes for the first time to fabricate a highly safe and flexible rechargeable hybrid Al^(3^(+))/H^(+)*** as-fabricated hybrid-ion battery(HIB)delivers a high specific capacity of 125 mAh·g^(−1) at 0.1 A·g^(−1) and exhibits an unprecedented super long-term cycling stability with no capacity fading over 10,000 cycles at 2 A·g^(−1).In addition,the hydrogel-based electrolyte possesses smart function of thermoresponsive switching,which can effectively prevent thermal runaway for the *** unprecedented long cycle stability,highly intrinsic safety as well as low-cost indicate that the flexible aqueous HIBs are promising for applications.

Dynamic chemical processes on ZnO surfaces tuned by physisorption under ambient conditions

The catalytic properties of non-reducible metal oxides have intrigued continuous interest in the past *** time,catalytic studies of bulk non-reducible oxides focused on their high-temperature applications owing to their weak interaction with small ***,combining ambient-pressure scanning tunneling microscopy(AP-STM),AP X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(AP-XPS)and density functional theory(DFT)calculations,we studied the activation of CO and CO_(2)on ZnO,a typical nonreducible oxide and major catalytic material in the conversion of C1 *** visualizing the chemical processes on ZnO surfaces at the atomic scale under AP conditions,we showed that new adsorbate structures induced by the enhanced physisorption and the concerted interaction of physisorbed molecules could facilitate the activation of CO and CO_(2)on *** reactivity of ZnO towards CO could be observed under AP conditions,where an ordered(2×1)–CO structure was observed on ZnO(1010).Meanwhile,chemisorption of CO_(2)on ZnO(1010)under AP conditions was also enhanced by physisorbed CO_(2),which minimizes the repulsion between surface dipoles and causes a(3×1)–CO_(2)*** study has brought molecular insight into the fundamental chemistry and catalytic properties of ZnO surfaces under realistic reaction conditions.

Evaluation of the efficacy of laser peripheral iridoplasty in reversing the darkroom provocative test result in Chinese patients with primary angle closure status post laser iridotomy

AIM: To investigate the efficacy and safety of krypton laser peripheral iridoplasty(LPIP) for Chinese patients with primary angle closure(PAC) or primary angle-closure glaucoma(PACG) status post laser iridotomy in reversing the positive results of the dark room provocative test(DRPT).METHODS: This study was prospective, noncomparative,interventional case series. Thirty-three patients(thirty-eight eyes) with PAC or PACG status post patent laser iridotomy and maintained normal intraocular pressure(IOP) but with positive DRPT results were enrolled. All the subjects were treated with krypton LPIP. DRPT was repeated after krypton LPIP. Results of DRPT were recorded. The visual acuity, IOP and gonioscopy were analyzed before and after krypton LPIP. A minimum time limit for follow-up was ***: Thirty-three patients(thirty-eight eyes)were followed for 17.7 ±8.37mo(range 7-41mo) after LPIP. Positive results of DRPT decreased from 38 eyes to9 eyes(23.7%) after LPIP. Peripheral anterior synechiae of angle in 34 of 38 eyes(89.5%) remained unchanged at dynamic gonioscopy throughout the follow-up period after ***: LPIP decreased positive rates of the DRPT significantly. The mechanism may be that LPIP minimized contact between the peripheral iris and trabecular meshwork, which is a key factor for developing peripheral anterior synechiae.

EMC design for actuators in the FAST reflector

An active reflector is one of the three main innovations incorporated in the Five-hundredmeter Aperture Spherical radio Telescope（FAST）.The deformation of such a huge spherically shaped reflector into different transient parabolic shapes is achieved by using 2225 hydraulic actuators which change the position of the 2225 nodes through the connected down tied *** each different tracking process of the telescope,more than 1/3 of these 2225 actuators must be in operation to tune the parabolic aperture accurately and meet the surface error *** means that some of these actuators are inevitably located within the main beam of the receiver,and Electromagnetic Interference（EMI）from the actuators must be mitigated to ensure the scientific output of the *** on the threshold level of interference detrimental to radio astronomy described in ITU-R Recommendation RA.769 and EMI measurements,the shielding efficiency（SE）requirement for each actuator is set to be 80 d B in the frequency range from 70 MHz to 3 ***,Electromagnetic Compatibility（EMC）was taken into account in the actuator design by measures such as power line filters,optical fibers,shielding enclosures and other structural *** 2015,all the actuators had been installed at the FAST *** now,no apparent EMI from the actuators has been detected by the receiver,which demonstrates the effectiveness of these EMC measures.

Serum neuron-specific enolase:A promising biomarker of silicosis

BACKGROUND Silicosis is a type of chronic pulmonary fibrosis caused by long-term inhalation of silica dust *** has been no ideal biomarker for the diagnosis and differential diagnosis of silicosis until *** have found that elevated neuron-specific enolase(NSE)concentration in the serum of silicosis patients is helpful for diagnosis and severity assessment of the ***,the number of cases in these studies was not enough to arouse *** To investigate the clinical significance of serum NSE in the diagnosis and staging of *** From January 2017 to June 2019,326 cases of silicosis confirmed in Quanzhou First Hospital Affiliated to Fujian Medical University were included in the silicosis group.A total of 328 healthy individuals or medical patients without silicosis were included in the control *** NSE concentrations of all subjects were determined by electrochemical *** There were no significant differences in sex,age,smoking index and complications between the silicosis and control *** mean serum NSE concentration was 26.57±20.95 ng/mL in the silicosis group and 12.42±2.68 ng/mL in the control *** difference between the two groups was significant(U=15187,P=0.000).Among the 326 patients with silicosis,103 had stage I silicosis,and the mean serum NSE concentration was 15.55±6.23 ng/*** mean serum NSE concentration was 21.85±12.05 ng/mL in 70 patients with stage II *** mean serum NSE concentration was 36.14±25.72 ng/mL in 153 patients with stage III ***-Wallis H test suggested that the difference in serum NSE concentration in silicosis patients in the three groups was significant(H=130.196,P=0.000).Receiver operating characteristic curve analysis indicated that the area under the curve was 0.858(95%confidence interval:0.828-0.888;P=0.000).When the NSE concentration was 15.82 ng/mL,the Jorden index was the largest,the sensitivity was 72%,and the specificity wa

Precipitation Distribution of the Extended Global Spring-Autumn Monsoon and Its Possible Formation Mechanism

The global monsoon(GM)comprises two major modes,namely,the solstitial mode and equinoctial asymmetric *** this paper,we extend the GM domain from the tropics to the global region and name it the global spring-autumn monsoon(GSAM),which mainly indicates a spring-autumn asymmetrical precipitation pattern exhibiting annual *** distribution and possible formation mechanisms are also *** GSAM domain is mainly distributed over oceans,located both in the midlatitude and tropical regions of the Pacific and *** the GSAM domains of both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres,more precipitation occurs in local autumn than in local *** formation mechanisms of GSAM precipitation vary according to the different *** precipitation in the tropical domain of the Eastern Hemisphere is influenced by the circulation differences between the onset and retreat periods of the Asian summer monsoon,while tropical cyclone activities cause precipitation over the South China Sea(SCS)and western North Pacific(WNP).GSAM precipitation in the tropical domain of the Western Hemisphere is influenced by the tropical asymmetrical circulation between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and the variation in the intertropical convergence zone(ITCZ)driven by the intensity of the sea surface temperature cold tongues over the equatorial eastern Pacific and eastern *** precipitation in the midlatitude domain is influenced by the differences in water vapor transportation and convergence between spring and *** addition,GSAM precipitation is also affected by extratropical cyclone activities.
