ACEI attenuates the progression of CCl_4-induced rat hepatic fibrogenesis by inhibiting TGF-β1, PDGF-BB, NF-κB and MMP-2,9

AIM： Angiotensin II has pro-fibrotic function in the liver. Blockade of the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone-system （RAAS） attenuates hepatic fibrosis. The aim of the present study was to determine the mechanism of angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor （ACEI） on the progression of rat hepatic fibrosis. METHODS： Forty male Wistar rats were divided into three groups. Model group （Mo）： The rats were injected subcutaneously with 40% of CCl4 0.25 mL/100 g. Perindopril group （Pe）： The rats were injected subcutaneously with 40% of CCl4. Perindopril, equivalent to 2 mg/（kg·d）, was administrated. Control group （Nc）： the rats were treated with olive oil only. After 4 and 6 wk, the rats were killed. The liver sections were stained with Masson. The protein expressions of ATIR, TGF-β1 and PDGF-BB were examined by Western blot. Nuclear factor κB （NF-κB） DNA binding activity was examined by EMSA （Electrophoretic gel mobility shift assay）. Matrix metalloproteinase-2,9 （MMP-2,9） activity was assessed by zymography. Serum laminin （LN） and hyaluronic acid （HA） were measured using radioimmunoassays. RESULTS： Using Western blot, we clearly provided direct evidence for the expression of ATIR in liver. The expression was up-regulated when fibrogenesis occurred. Perindopril treatment significantly reduced mean fibrosis score, protein levels of ATIR, TGF-β1 and PDGF-BB, serum levels of HA and LN, and the activity of MMP-2,9. NF-κB DNA bindingactivity markedly increased in model group, perindopril treatment considerably reduced NF-κB DNA binding ***： Perindopril attenuates CCl4-induced hepatic fibrogenesis of rat by inhibiting TGF-β1, PDGF-BB, NF-BB and MMP-2,9.

A novel ternary JK flip-flop using the resonant tunneling diode literal circuit

A literal circuit with a three-track-output structure is presented based on resonant tunneling diodes(RTDs).It can be transformed conveniently into a single-track-output structure according to the definition and properties of the literal operation.A ternary resonant tunneling JK flip-flop is created based on the RTD literal circuit and the module-3 operation,and the JK flip-flop also has two optional types of output *** design of the ternary RTD JK flip-flop is verified by *** RTD literal circuit is the key design component for achieving various types of multi-valued logic(MVL) *** can be converted into ternary D and JK flip-flops,and the ternary JK flip-flop can also be converted simply and conveniently into ternary D and ternary T flip-flops when the input signals satisfy certain logical *** these types of flip-flops can be realized using the traditional Karnaugh maps combined with the literal and module-3 *** approach offers a novel design method for MVL resonant tunneling flip-flop circuits.

The most robust design for digital logics of multiple variables based on neurons with complex-valued weights

Neurons with complex-valued weights have stronger capability because of their multi-valued threshold logic. Neurons with such features may be suitable for solution of different kinds of problems including associative memory,image recognition and digital logical mapping. In this paper,robustness or tolerance is introduced and newly defined for this kind of neuron ac-cording to both their mathematical model and the perceptron neuron's definition of robustness. Also,the most robust design for basic digital logics of multiple variables is proposed based on these robust neurons. Our proof procedure shows that,in robust design each weight only takes the value of i or -i,while the value of threshold is with respect to the number of variables. The results demonstrate the validity and simplicity of using robust neurons for realizing arbitrary digital logical functions.

Design of ternary D flip-flop with pre-set and pre-reset functions based on resonant tunneling diode literal circuit

The problems existing in the binary logic system and the advantages of multiple-valued logic (MVL) are introduced. A literal circuit with three-track-output structure is created based on resonant tunneling diodes (RTDs) and it has the most basic memory function. A ternary RTD D flip-flop with pre-set and pre-reset functions is also designed, the key module of which is the RTD literal circuit. Two types of output structure of the ternary RTD D flip-flop are optional: one is three-track and the other is single-track; these two structures can be transformed conveniently by merely adding tri-valued RTD NAND, NOR, and inverter units after the three-track output. The design is verified by simulation. Ternary flip-flop consists of an RTD literal circuit and it not only is easy to understand and implement but also provides a solution for the algebraic interface between the multiple-valued logic and the binary logic. The method can also be used for design of other types of multiple-valued RTD flip-flop circuits.

A Multi-Attribute Decision-Making Method Using Belief-Based Probabilistic linguistic Term Sets and Its Application in Emergency Decision-Making

Probabilistic linguistic term sets(PLTSs)are an effective tool for expressing subjective human cognition that offer advantages in the field ofmulti-attribute decision-making(MADM).However,studies have found that PLTSs have lost their ability to accurately capture the views of decision-makers(DMs)in certain circumstances,such as when the DM hesitates between multiple linguistic terms or the decision information is incomplete,thus affecting their role in the decision-making *** function theory is a leading streamof thought in uncertainty processing that is suitable for dealing with the limitations of ***,the purpose of this study is to extend PLTS to incorporate belief function ***,we provide the basic concepts of the extended PLTS(i.e.,belief-based PLTS)through case ***,the aggregation operator of belief-based PLTS is defined with the ordered weighted average(OWA)-based soft likelihood function,which is improved by considering the reliability of the information ***,to measure the magnitude of different belief-based PLTSs,the belief interval of singleton is calculated,and the comparison method of belief-based PLTS is constructed based on *** the basis of the preceding discussion,we further develop an emergency decision framework that includes several novel techniques,such as attribute weight determination and decision information ***,the usefulness of the framework is demonstrated through a case study,and its effectiveness is illustrated through a series of comparisons.

Precipitation Distribution of the Extended Global Spring-Autumn Monsoon and Its Possible Formation Mechanism

The global monsoon(GM)comprises two major modes,namely,the solstitial mode and equinoctial asymmetric *** this paper,we extend the GM domain from the tropics to the global region and name it the global spring-autumn monsoon(GSAM),which mainly indicates a spring-autumn asymmetrical precipitation pattern exhibiting annual *** distribution and possible formation mechanisms are also *** GSAM domain is mainly distributed over oceans,located both in the midlatitude and tropical regions of the Pacific and *** the GSAM domains of both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres,more precipitation occurs in local autumn than in local *** formation mechanisms of GSAM precipitation vary according to the different *** precipitation in the tropical domain of the Eastern Hemisphere is influenced by the circulation differences between the onset and retreat periods of the Asian summer monsoon,while tropical cyclone activities cause precipitation over the South China Sea(SCS)and western North Pacific(WNP).GSAM precipitation in the tropical domain of the Western Hemisphere is influenced by the tropical asymmetrical circulation between the Northern and Southern Hemispheres and the variation in the intertropical convergence zone(ITCZ)driven by the intensity of the sea surface temperature cold tongues over the equatorial eastern Pacific and eastern *** precipitation in the midlatitude domain is influenced by the differences in water vapor transportation and convergence between spring and *** addition,GSAM precipitation is also affected by extratropical cyclone activities.

Constrained Multi-Objective Optimization With Deep Reinforcement Learning Assisted Operator Selection

Solving constrained multi-objective optimization problems with evolutionary algorithms has attracted considerable *** constrained multi-objective optimization evolutionary algorithms(CMOEAs)have been developed with the use of different algorithmic strategies,evolutionary operators,and constraint-handling *** performance of CMOEAs may be heavily dependent on the operators used,however,it is usually difficult to select suitable operators for the problem at ***,improving operator selection is promising and necessary for *** work proposes an online operator selection framework assisted by Deep Reinforcement *** dynamics of the population,including convergence,diversity,and feasibility,are regarded as the state;the candidate operators are considered as actions;and the improvement of the population state is treated as the *** using a Q-network to learn a policy to estimate the Q-values of all actions,the proposed approach can adaptively select an operator that maximizes the improvement of the population according to the current state and thereby improve the algorithmic *** framework is embedded into four popular CMOEAs and assessed on 42 benchmark *** experimental results reveal that the proposed Deep Reinforcement Learning-assisted operator selection significantly improves the performance of these CMOEAs and the resulting algorithm obtains better versatility compared to nine state-of-the-art CMOEAs.

Research on Seismic Interpretation Method of Karst-Fractured Zone

In this paper, the fundamentals of predicting karst-fractured zones using both seismic attribute technique and pattern recognition method are introduced. Ordovician limestone karst-fractured zones in the First mining Area of Wutongzhuang Coal mine were forecast by using practical seismic data. The result shows that both seismic attribute technique and pattern recognition method are effective in predicting karst-fractured zones.
