Objective To investigate the impact of CYP2C19 gene polymorphism on clopidogrel reactivity and its association with longterm clinical outcome in patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).Methods In total,675 patients were *** on the platelet inhibition rate,patients were categorized into two groups:clopidogrel low responsiveness(CLR)and normal clopidogrel responsiveness(NCR).The CLR group was divided into ticagrelor and clopidogrel group based on the antiplatelet drugs used in the follow-up *** were classified into three groups(normal metabolizer,intermediate metabolizer,and poor metabolizer)based on the CYP2C19 *** aimed to evaluate the impact of CYP2C19 gene polymorphism on clopidogrel *** cumulative rates of 12-month all-cause deaths,major adverse cardiovascular events(MACCEs),and bleeding events were *** CLR was observed in 44.4%of the overall *** differences were observed in the platelet inhibition rate of clopidogrel among the three metabolic genotypes(P0.05).Conclusions Low response to clopidogrel in CHD patients is correlated with CYP2C19 gene ***2C19 genotyping combined with platelet reactivity is an independent predictor of 12-months MACCEs in patients with clopidogrel treatment after PCI,which is better than either test alone.

Multiple-dimensioned defect engineering for graphite felt electrode of vanadium redox flow battery

The scarcity of wettability,insufficient active sites,and low surface area of graphite felt(GF)have long been suppressing the performance of vanadium redox flow batteries(VRFBs).Herein,an ultra-homogeneous multipledimensioned defect,including nano-scale etching and atomic-scale N,O codoping,was used to modify GF by the molten salt ***_(4)Cl and KClO_(3) were added simultaneously to the system to obtain porous N/O co-doped electrode(GF/ON),where KClO_(3) was used to ultra-homogeneously etch,and O-functionalize electrode,and NH4Cl was used as N dopant,***/ON presents better electrochemical catalysis for VO_(2)+/VO_(2)+ and V3+/V2+ reactions than only O-functionalized electrodes(GF/O)and *** enhanced electrochemical properties are attributed to an increase in active sites,surface area,and wettability,as well as the synergistic effect of N and O,which is also supported by the density functional theory ***,the cell using GF/ON shows higher discharge capacity,energy efficiency,and stability for cycling performance than the pristine cell at 140 mA cm^(−2) for 200 ***,the energy efficiency of the modified cell is increased by 9.7% from 55.2% for the pristine cell at 260 mA cm^(−2).Such an ultra-homogeneous etching with N and O co-doping through“boiling”molten salt medium provides an effective and practical application potential way to prepare superior electrodes for VRFB.

Zinc-ion batteries(ZIBs) are recognized as potential energy storage devices due to their advantages of low cost, high energy density, and environmental friendliness. However, zinc anodes are subject to unavoidable zinc dendrites, passivation, corrosion, and hydrogen evolution reactions during the charging and discharging of batteries, becoming obstacles to the practical application of ZIBs. Appropriate zinc metal-free anodes provide a higher working potential than metallic zinc anodes, effectively solving the problems of zinc dendrites, hydrogen evolution, and side reactions during the operation of metallic zinc anodes. The improvement in the safety and cycle life of batteries creates conditions for further commercialization of ZIBs. Therefore, this work systematically introduces the research progress of zinc metal-free anodes in “rocking chair” ZIBs. Zinc metal-free anodes are mainly discussed in four categories: transition metal oxides,transition metal sulfides, MXene(two dimensional transition metal carbide) composites, and organic compounds, with discussions on their properties and zinc storage mechanisms. Finally, the outlook for the development of zinc metal-free anodes is proposed. This paper is expected to provide a reference for the further promotion of commercial rechargeable ZIBs.

Environmental dynamics of nitrogen and phosphorus release from river sediments of arid areas

Human activities lead to the accumulation of a large amount of nitrogen and phosphorus in sediments in ***,nitrogen and phosphorus can be affected by environment and re-enter the upper water body,causing secondary pollution of the river *** this study,laboratory simulation experiments were conducted initially to investigate the release of nitrogen and phosphorus from river sediments in Urumqi City and the surrounding areas in Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region of China and determine the factors that influence their *** results of this study showed significant short-term differences in nitrogen and phosphorus release characteristics from sediments at different sampling *** proposed secondary kinetics model(i.e.,pseudo-second-order kinetics model)better fitted the release process of sediment nitrogen and *** release of nitrogen and phosphorus from sediments is a complex process driven by multiple factors,therefore,we tested the influence of three factors(pH,temperature,and disturbance intensity)on the release of nitrogen and phosphorus from sediments in this *** most amount of nitrate nitrogen(NO_(3)^(–)-N)was released under neutral conditions,while the most significant release of ammonia nitrogen(NH_(4)^(+)-N)occurred under acidic and alkaline *** release of nitrite nitrogen(NO_(2)^(-)-N)was less affected by *** dissolved total phosphorus(DTP)released significantly in the alkaline water environment,while the release of dissolved organic phosphorus(DOP)was more significant in acidic *** release amount of soluble reactive phosphorus(SRP)increased with an increase in *** sediments released nitrogen and phosphorus at higher temperatures,particularly NH_(4)^(+)-N,NO_(3)^(–)-N,and *** highest amount of DOP was released at 15.0℃.An increase in disturbance intensity exacerbated the release of nitrogen and phosphorus from ***_(4)^(+)-N,DTP,and SRP levels increased linearly with the intens

Intensive aquaculture-induced oxidative stress is detrimental to fish health and *** plants show promise as natural health boosters and antioxidants in the aquaculture ***,this work investigated the effects of turmeric aqueous extract(TAE)on the growth performance,antioxidant status,and hydrogen peroxide(H2O2)-induced oxidative stress in spotted seabass(Lateolabrax maculatus).Fish were fed diets supplemented with 0(Con),2(TAE2),or 4(TAE4)g/kg TAE for eight weeks,then were injected with *** results showed that dietary supplementation of TAE did not affect fish growth,feed utilization,or body *** treatment increased liver antioxidant enzyme activities and decreased liver malondialdehyde content and serum levels of glutamate oxalate transaminase,glutamate pyruvate transaminase,and lactate ***,the increases in mortality,liver malondialdehyde content,and serum biomarkers of liver injury in the H2O2-treated fish were inhibited as a consequence of the TAE *** addition,TAE treatment activated the Nrf2/Keap1 pathway in the liver,supported by the up-regulated expression of nrf2,ho-1,and gclc,and down-regulated keap1 ***,dietary incorporation of TAE protected against H2O2-induced oxidative stress in spotted seabass probably by enhancing antioxidant capacity through the Nrf2/Keap1 pathway.

Background:Ultrasound is widely used in critical care for fluid resuscitation in critically ill *** conducted a systematic review to assess the relationship between ultrasound-guided fluid resuscitation strategies and usual care in septic ***:We searched PubMed,Embase,Cochrane Library,Web of Science,and registers for randomized controlled trials to evaluate the prognosis of ultrasound-guided fluid resuscitation in patients with septic ***:Twelve randomized controlled studies with 947 participants were ***-guided fluid resuscitation in patients with septic shock was associated with reduced mortality(risk ratio:0.78;95%confidence interval[CI]:0.65 to 0.94;P=0.007)and 24-hour fluid volume(mean differences[MD]:−1.02;95%CI:−1.28 to−0.75;P<0.001),low heterogeneity(I^(2)=29%,I^(2)=0%),and increased dose of norepinephrine(MD:0.07;95%CI:0.02-0.11;P=0.002)and dobutamine dose(MD:2.2;95%CI:0.35-4.04;P=0.02),with low heterogeneity(I^(2)=45%,I^(2)=0%).There was no reduction in the risk of dobutamine use(risk ratio:1.67;95%CI:0.52 to 5.36;P=0.39;I^(2)=0%).Inferior vena cava-related measures reduced the length of hospital stay(MD:−2.91;95%CI:−5.2 to−0.62;P=0.01;low heterogeneity,I^(2)=8%)and length of intensive care unit stay(MD:−2.77;95%CI:−4.51 to−1.02;P=0.002;low heterogeneity,I^(2)=0%).The use of the passive leg-raising test combined with echocardiography to assess fluid reactivity was ***-guided fluid resuscitation did not significantly change the length of the free intensive care unit stay(MD:1.5;95%CI:−3.81 to 6.81;P=0.58;I^(2)=0%).Conclusion:Ultrasound-guided fluid resuscitation in patients with septic shock is beneficial,especially when using inferior vena cava-related measures and the passive leg-raising test combined with echocardiography.

Hypoxia is a typical feature of the tumor microenvironment,one of the most critical factors affecting cell behavior and tumor ***,the lack of tumor models able to precisely emulate natural brain tumor tissue has impeded the study of the effects of hypoxia on the progression and growth of tumor *** study reports a three-dimensional(3D)brain tumor model obtained by encapsulating U87MG(U87)cells in a hydrogel containing type I *** also documents the effect of various oxygen concentrations(1%,7%,and 21%)in the culture environment on U87 cell morphology,proliferation,viability,cell cycle,apoptosis rate,and ***,it compares two-dimensional(2D)and 3D *** comparison purposes,cells cultured in flat culture dishes were used as the control(2D model).Cells cultured in the 3D model proliferated more slowly but had a higher apoptosis rate and proportion of cells in the resting phase(G0 phase)/gap I phase(G1 phase)than those cultured in the 2D ***,the two models yielded significantly different cell ***,hypoxia(e.g.,1%O2)affected cell morphology,slowed cell growth,reduced cell viability,and increased the apoptosis rate in the 3D *** results indicate that the constructed 3D model is effective for investigating the effects of biological and chemical factors on cell morphology and function,and can be more representative of the tumor microenvironment than 2D culture *** developed 3D glioblastoma tumor model is equally applicable to other studies in pharmacology and pathology.
