Anxiety is a significant mental health issue that substantially affects an individual’s quality of life. Feelings of uneasiness, irritability, and sleep disturbances characterize it. 4-Hydroxyphenyl acetic acid (4-HPAA) is identified in brain cells as a physiological byproduct of tyramine. This study hypothesizes that 4-HPAA may regulate anxiety due to its anxiolytic properties, acting as a modulator of the GABAergic system, which plays a crucial role in the pathophysiology of anxiety disorders. Our study aims to enhance the anxiolytic effects of 4-HPAA through chemical modification to improve its pharmacokinetic properties. Three derivatives, namely Isopropyl-4-hydroxy-[phenyl] acetate (IHPA), Isopropyl-4-hydroxy-[phenyl] acetate (MPAA), and 4-methoxyphenyl acetate (MPHA), have been synthesized from 4-HPAA. This assessment will use well-established animal models, specifically the Elevated Plus-Maze (EPM) and Zero Maze (EZM) tests, selected for their validity in replicating anxiety-like symptoms in animals. Chronic caffeine administration via drinking water (0.3 g/l for 14 days) was employed to induce an anxiety state for testing purposes. IHPA and MPAA demonstrated significant anxiolyticactivity when tested in the EPM and EZM experiments. Molecular docking simulations using AutoDock Vina indicated that 4-HPAA derivatives had docking scores ranging from −5.8 to −4.8 kcal/mol, compared to the standard anxiolytic medication Diazepam, which scored −7.1 kcal/mol. These scores suggest a potential for 4-HPAA derivatives to interact effectively with the Gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA_A) receptor. In conclusion, our in vivo and in silico analyses indicate a promising anxiolytic potential for 4-HPAA derivatives.

A Two-Stage Color Image Segmentation Method Based on Saturation-Value Total Variation

Color image segmentation is crucial in image processing and computer *** traditional segmentation methods simply regard an RGB color image as the direct combination of the three monochrome images and ignore the inherent color structures within channels,which contain some key feature information of the *** better describe the relationship of color channels,we introduce a quaternion-based regularization that can reflect the image characteristics more *** model combines the idea of the Mumford-Shah model-based two-stage segmentation method and the Saturation-Value Total Variation regularization for color image *** new strategy first extracts features from the color image and then subdivides the image in a new color feature space which achieves better performance than methods in RGB color ***,to accelerate the optimization process,we use a new primal-dual algorithm to solve our novel *** results demonstrate clearly that the performance of our proposed method is excellent.

An excellent organic blue light-emitting diode based on 4,4＇-bis（diphenylamino）-quinque（p-phenylene）s （OPP（5）-NPh） with a maximum luminance of up to 5000 cd/m^2 and a luminanous efficiency of 1.3 cd/A was reported. This diode was made by using a wide band-gap hole-blocking layer, F-TBB instead of PBD in the OLED devices. We attribute the good performance to the one trade-off involved in the use of F-TBB to obtain higher luminance is the increased turn-on voltages and slightly decreased device efficiencies.

The cytochrome b_(6f)(Cyt b_(6f))complex is a multisubunit protein complex in chloroplast thylakoid membranes required for photosynthetic electron *** we report the isolation and characterization of the new tiny albino 1(nta1)mutant in Arabidopsis,which has severe defects in Cyt b_(6f) accumulation and chloroplast *** cloning revealed that the nta1 phenotype was caused by disruption of a single nuclear gene,NTA1,which encodes an integral thylakoid membrane protein conserved across green algae and *** of NTA1 completely rescued the nta1 phenotype,and knockout of NTA1 in wild-type plants recapitulated the mutant *** of NTA1 function severely impaired the accumulation of multiprotein complexes related to photosynthesis in thylakoid membranes,particularly the components of Cyt b_(6f).NTA1 was shown to directly interact with four subunits(Cyt b6/PetB,PetD,PetG,and PetN)of Cyt b_(6f) through the DUF1279 domain and C-terminal sequence to mediate their *** together,our results identify NTA1 as a new and key regulator of chloroplast development that plays essential roles in assembly of the Cyt b_(6f) complex by interacting with multiple Cyt b_(6f) subunits.

Selenium-induced Changes in Activities of Antioxidant Enzymes and Content of Photosynthetic Pigments in Spirulina platensis

Spirulina platensis exposed to various selenium （Se） concentrations （0, 10, 20, 40, 80, 150, 175, 200, 250 mg/L） accumulated high amounts of Se in a dose- and time-dependent manner. Under low Se concentrations （〈150 mg/L）, Se induced increases in biomass concentration, content of photosynthetic pigments, and activities of glutathione peroxidase （GPX）, superoxide dismutase （SOD）, catalase （CAT） and Gua-dep peroxidases （POD）, which indicates that antioxidant enzymes play an important role in protecting cells from Se stress. Higher Se concentrations （≥175 mg/L） led to higher Se accumulation and increases in activities of GPX, SOD, CAT and POD, but also induced lipid peroxidation （LPO） coupled with potassium leakage and decreases in biomass concentration and contents of photosynthetic pigment. The results indicate that increases in activities of the antioxidant enzymes were not sufficient to protect cell membranes against Se stress. Time-dependent variations in the activities of antioxidant enzymes, contents of chlorophyll a and carotenoid and the LPO level were also investigated under representative Se concentrations of 40 and 200mg/L. Opposite variation trends between SOD-CAT activities, and GPX-POD-APX activities were observed during the growth cycles. The results showed that the prevention of damage to cell membranes of S. platensis cells could be achieved by cooperative effects of SOD-CAT and GPX-POD-APX enzymes. This study concludes that S. platensis possessed tolerance to Se and could protect itself from phytotoxicity induced by Se by altering various metabolic processes.

Multi-line code: A low complexity revocable fingerprint template for cancelable biometrics

A low computational cost cancelable fingerprint template, namely the multi-line codes was proposed. The formulation of a single-line code involves the inspection of minutiae distribution along a straight line constructed based on the reference minutia. Multi-line code is introduced to elevate the performance by combining several single-line codes. Experiments were carried out on a few FVC databases. It has been proven that the proposed method yields relatively low computational complexity as compared to existing minutiae distribution-based methods, while preserving the performance. The equal error rate obtained for FVC2002 DB1 is 4.69% in stolen-key case, and the total arithmetic operations utilized are 14 520 additions and zero multiplication.

Blind deblurring for color images has long been a challenging computer vision *** intrinsic color structures within image channels have typically been disregarded in many excellent *** investigate employing regularizations in the hue,saturation,and value(HSV)color space via the quaternion framework in order to better retain the internal relationship among the multiple channels and reduce color distortions and color *** observe that a geometric spatial-feature prior utilized in the intermediate latent image successfully enhances the kernel accuracy for the blind deblurring variational models,preserving the salient edges while decreasing the unfavorable *** by this,we develop a saturation-value geometric spatial-feature prior in the HSV color space via the quaternion framework for blind color image deblurring,which facilitates blur kernel *** alternating optimization strategy combined with a primal-dual projected gradient method can effectively solve this novel proposed *** experimental results show that our model outperforms state-of-the-art methods in blind color image deblurring by a wide margin,demonstrating the effectiveness of the proposed model.

This paper mainly investigates an integrated control system operating under the software defined network（SDN）*** is a new networking paradigm in which network intelligence is centrally administered and network control data and decisions are communicated via channels that are physically separated from those conveying user ***,under the SDN architecture,it is relatively easy to set up multiple flows for transmitting sampled state information to a decision-maker and control signals to an actuator for each individual *** each flow may suffer random transmission delay,the first arriving control signal is applicable if its transmission delay is within the pre-defined application *** affiliated integrated control system can be modelled as a stochastic system with transmission delays and packet *** this paper,we focus on the stabilization problem of such a system and propose a set of necessary and sufficient stabilizing conditions for ***,for the scalar case,we derive the maximum sampling period that can guarantee stabilization in terms of the probability distributions of the transmission *** in this paper find application in controlling autonomous vehicles over an open access communication network for the purposes of remote site recognition or security control,such as evader pursuit.

Incorporating the Maximum Entropy on the Mean Framework with Kernel Error for Robust Non-Blind Image Deblurring

Non-blind deblurring is crucial in image *** most previous works assume that the exact blurring kernel is known,this is often not the case in *** blurring kernel is most likely estimated by a blind deblurring method and is not *** this work,we incorporate a kernel error term into an advanced non-blind deblurring method to recover the clear image with an inaccurately estimated *** on the celebrated principle of Maximum Entropy on the Mean(MEM),the regularization at the level of the probability distribution of images is carefully com-bined with the classical total variation regularizer at the level of image/***-sive experiments show clearly the effectiveness of the proposed method in the pres-ence of kernel *** a traditional method,the proposed method is even better than some of the state-of-the-art deep-learning-based *** also demonstrate the potential of combining the MEM framework with classical regularization approaches in image deblurring,which is extremely inspiring for other related works.
