Individuals select from.a num.er of behaviours when responding to various situations and the decisions they m.ke m.y affect their fitness. The costs and benefits of these responses vary am.ng individuals causing them.to differ even in identical situations. One exam.le of this type of situation is when territorial m.les encounter both a m.le and fem.le sim.ltaneously, gene- rating a trade-off that likely leads to individual differences due to differing costs of various actions am.ng m.les. This situation com.only occurs in threespine stickleback, Gasterosteus aculeatus. However, for selection to act effectively, individuals m.st behave in a consistent m.nner and m.asuring repeatability can aid in understanding how selection m.y shape such trade-offs. m.les of this species exhibit consistent individual differences in their response to dum.y m.les and fem.les but it is unknown ff patterns are sim.lar when feedback from.the stim.li is present. To assess this, m.le threespine stickleback were tested with dum.y and live m.le and fem.le conspecifics, presented separately and sim.ltaneously. While the sam. trends were found re- gardless of stim.lus type, m.les were m.re aggressive towards the live conspecifics than to the dum.ies. Repeatability values were sim.lar within a treatm.nt regardless of whether live or dum.y conspecifics were used, suggesting that individuals show the sam. level of consistency. This study adds to our understanding of consistent individual differences by dem.nstrating that feed- back m.y not affect responses to conflicting stim.li and that m.le threespine stickleback respond in a consistent m.nner to both dum.y and live stim.li

The past two decades have seen a rapid adoption of artificial intelligence m.thods applied to m.neral exploration. m.re recently, the easier acquisition of som. types of data has inspired a broad literature that has exam.ned m.ny m.chine learning and m.delling techniques that com.ine exploration criteria,or ’features’, to generate predictions for m.neral prospectivity. Central to the design of prospectivity m.dels is a ’m.neral system., a conceptual m.del describing the key geological elem.nts that control the tim.ng and location of econom.c m.neralisation. The m.neral system. m.del defines what constitutes a training set, which features represent geological evidence of m.neralisation, how features are engineered and what m.delling m.thods are used. m.neral system. are knowledge-driven conceptual m.dels, thus all param.ter choices are subject to hum.n biases and opinion so alternative m.dels are ***, the effect of alternative m.neral system. m.dels on prospectivity is rarely com.ared despite the potential to heavily influence final predictions. In this study, we focus on the effect of conceptual uncertainty on Fe ore prospectivity m.dels in the Ham.rsley region, Western Australia. Four im.ortant considerations are tested.(1) Five different supergene and hypogene conceptual m.neral system. m.dels guide the inputs for five forest-based classification prospectivity m.dels m.del.(2) To represent conceptual uncertainty, the predictions are then com.ined for prospectivity m.del com.arison.(3)Representation of three-dim.nsional objects as two-dim.nsional features are tested to address com.only ignored thickness of geological units.(4) The training dataset is com.osed of known econom.c m.neralisation sites(deposits) as ’positive’ exam.les, and exploration drilling data providing ’negative’sam.ling locations. This system.tic review aim.d to assess the current knowledge of hum.n-anim.l interactions(HAIs)in disaster settings and identify areas for future research.A Preferred Reporting Item. for System.tic Reviews and m.ta-Analyses search was conducted on three m.ltidisciplinary databases,identifying English-language journal articles published between January 2000and February 2022 that explored the benefits of and challenges associated with HAI in disasters and *** review analyzed 94 articles using both quantitative and qualitative *** review found a paucity of universal term.nology to describe the bidirectional relationship between hum.ns and anim.ls during disasters and a failure to include all anim.l types in every stage of disaster and em.rgency ***,research predom.nantly focused on the health and well-being benefits of HAI for hum.ns rather than *** to prom.te social and environm.ntal justice for hum.ns and their co-inhabitants should support the welfare of both hum.ns and anim.ls in disaster *** recom.endations were developed based on these findings to increase the inclusion of HAI in research,policy,and *** of the review included the exclusion of pre-2000 articles and all grey literature,lim.ted research exam.ning different com.inations of anim.l and disaster types,and lim.ted research outside of North Am.rica.
