Aim:To pretreat sperm at various temperatures before exposure to human papillomavirus(HPV)16 DNA fragments and to assess the efficiency of HPV carrier sperm to transfect cumulus ***:Cumulus cells from follicular aspirates were obtained,pooled and divided into culture dishes containing Sybr Gold-stained HPV DNA carrying sperm that were either pretreated at 4℃,37℃or 40℃(n=5).The cells were incubated in 5%CO_(2) in air mixture at 37℃for 24 *** efficiency of sperm to take up fluorescent HPV DNA was determined at hour *** incubation,cumulus cell viability was assessed using the e0sin method and the percentages of fluorescent cumulus cells ***:Over half of all the cumulus cells became fluorescent with the highest percentage in the 37℃*** pretreated at 4℃had the greatest amount of HPV DNA *** sperm motility was similar for the 3 pretreatment *** were no differences in cumulus viability among the ***:Sperm pretreated at 37℃transferred the greatest amount of fluorescent HPV DNA fragments to the cumulus *** HPV DNA was observed in the nuclear and cytoplasmic *** data suggested the possibility of sperm as a vector for the transmission of HPV DNA to the cumulus cells surrounding ovulated oocytes,which might lead to early implantation failures.

In this paper,we consider the NP-hard problem ofﬁnding the minimum connected resolving set of graphs.A vertex set B of a connected graph G resolves G if every vertex of G is uniquely identiﬁed by its vector of distances to the ver-tices in B.A resolving set B of G is connected if the subgraph B induced by B is a nontrivial connected subgraph of *** cardinality of the minimal resolving set is the metric dimension of G and the cardinality of minimum connected resolving set is the connected metric dimension of *** problem is solved heuristically by a binary version of an enhanced Harris Hawk Optimization(BEHHO)*** is theﬁrst attempt to determine the connected resolving set *** combines classical HHO with opposition-based learning,chaotic local search and is equipped with an S-shaped transfer function to convert the contin-uous variable into a binary *** hawks of BEHHO are binary encoded and are used to represent which one of the vertices of a graph belongs to the connected resolving *** feasibility is enforced by repairing hawks such that an addi-tional node selected from V\B is added to B up to obtain the connected resolving *** proposed BEHHO algorithm is compared to binary Harris Hawk Optimi-zation(BHHO),binary opposition-based learning Harris Hawk Optimization(BOHHO),binary chaotic local search Harris Hawk Optimization(BCHHO)*** results conﬁrm the superiority of the BEHHO for determining connected metric dimension.

A classical function of Clq is to bind immune complexes and initiate complement activation producing membrane lytic complexes, opsonins and anaphylatoxins. This classical pathway of complement activation is also elicited when Clq binds some other ligands. Besides complement activation, Clq also regulates cell differentiation, adhesion, migration, activation and survival. Clq deficiency is associated with autoimmunity as well as increased susceptibility to infections. In this article, we discuss the basic properties of Clq, its expression, and classical and regulatory functions. Cellular ＆ Molecular Immunology.

In this paper,we consider the NP-hard problem of finding the minimum dominant resolving set of graphs.A vertex set B of a connected graph G resolves G if every vertex of G is uniquely identified by its vector of distances to the vertices in B.A resolving set is dominating if every vertex of G that does not belong to B is a neighbor to some vertices in *** dominant metric dimension of G is the cardinality number of the minimum dominant resolving *** dominant metric dimension is computed by a binary version of the Archimedes optimization algorithm(BAOA).The objects of BAOA are binary encoded and used to represent which one of the vertices of the graph belongs to the dominant resolving *** feasibility is enforced by repairing objects such that an additional vertex generated from vertices of G is added to B and this repairing process is iterated until B becomes the dominant resolving *** is the first attempt to determine the dominant metric dimension problem *** proposed BAOA is compared to binary whale optimization(BWOA)and binary particle optimization(BPSO)*** results confirm the superiority of the BAOA for computing the dominant metric dimension.

L-plastin(LPL)was identified as a potential regulator of the actin-bundling process involved in forming nascent sealing zones(NSZs),which are precursor zones for mature sealing ***-fused cell-penetrating small molecular weight LPL peptide(TATMARGSVSDEE,denoted as an inhibitory LPL peptide)attenuated the formation of NSZs and impaired bone resorption in vitro in ***,the genetic deletion of LPL in mice demonstrated decreased eroded perimeters and increased trabecular bone *** the present study,we hypothesized that targeting LPL with the inhibitory LPL peptide in vivo could reduce osteoclast function and increase bone density in a mice model of low bone *** injected aging C57BL/6 female mice(36 weeks old)subcutaneously with the inhibitory and scrambled peptides of LPL for 14 ***-CT and histomorphometry analyses demonstrated an increase in trabecular bone density of femoral and tibial bones with no change in cortical thickness in mice injected with the inhibitory LPL peptide.A reduction in the serum levels of CTX-1 peptide suggests that the increase in bone density is associated with a decrease in osteoclast *** changes in bone formation rate and mineral apposition rate,and the serum levels of P1NP indicate that the inhibitory LPL peptide does not affect osteoblast *** study shows that the inhibitory LPL peptide can block osteoclast function without impairing the function of *** peptide could be developed as a prospective therapeutic agent to treat osteoporosis.

The relative locations of AOB,NOB,and DNB were examined for three different kinds of carriers in two types of hybrid bioflm process configurations:integrated fixed-film activated sludge(IFAS)and moving bed bioflm reactor(MBBR)*** water resource recovery facilities(WRRFs)used Anodkainess^TM K1 carriers(KC)at Broomfield,Colorado,USA and polypropylene resin crriers(R)at Fukuok,Japa,whic MBBR WRFS used KC crier at South Adams Couty,Colorado,USA and sponge carriers(SC)at Saga,*** COD to N ratios ranged from 8:1 to 15:*** COD and BOD removal efficiencies were high(96%-98%);NH^+4-N and TN removal efficiencies were more varied at 72%98%and 64%-77%,*** extent of TN removal was higher at high SRT,high COD:N ratio and low DO concentration in the anoxic *** IFAS,RC with high specific surface area.(SSA)maintained higher AOB population than *** carriers with high SSA maintained higher overall bacteria population than KC in MBBR ***,the DNB were not more abundant in high SSA *** diversity of AOB,NOB,and DNB was fairly similar in different *** *** over Nitrosospira *** denitrifying bacteria included Rhodobacter sp.,Sulfuritalea sp.,.Rubrivivax sp:Paracoccus sp..and Pseudomonas *** results from this work suggest that high SRT,***:N ratio,low DO concentration in anoxic tanks,and carriers with greater surface area may be recommended for high COD,BOD and TN removal in WRRFs with IFAS and MBBR systerms.

Globally,in-home drug-storage compliance is often unsatisfactory,especially among older adults,and can lead to negative health *** study used a cross-sectional and descriptive design to examine inhome drug-storage compliance among older *** sampling was used to recruit 117 older adults in Hong *** in-home drugstorage checklist was used to assess the in-home drug-storage environments(light,temperature,and humidity)and drug-storage methods(drug safety,packaging,information,and expiration)of each older *** findings showed that Hong Kong older adults’overall compliance rate in drug storage was 87.25%,and their compliance rate for drug-storage methods(84.59%)was lower than that for drug-storage environments(97.02%).Older adults who were of advanced age,who were less educated or who lived alone demonstrated lower in-home drug-storage *** indicates the need to revise existing health-education strategies to encourage in-home drug-storage *** professionals should assess older adults’drug-storage compliance to identify less compliant subgroups and deliver specific drug-storage support as *** members should also be involved in this process.
