Instability of TiC and TiAl3 compounds in Al-10Mg and Al-5Cu alloys by addition of Al-Ti-C master alloy

The performance of Al-Ti-C master alloy in refining Al-10Mg and Al-5Cu alloys was studied by using electron probe micro-analyzer （EPMA） and X-ray diffractometer （XRD） analysis. The results indicate that there are obvious fading phenomena in both Al-10Mg and Al-5Cu alloys with the addition of Al-5Ti-0.4C refiner which contains TiC and TiAl3 compounds. Mg element has no influence on the stability of TiC and TiAl3, while TiC particles in Al-10Mg alloy react with Al to form Al4C3 particles, resulting in the refinement fading. However, TiC particles are relatively stable in Al-5Cu alloy, while TiAl3 phase reacts with Al2Cu to produce a new phase Ti（Al, Cu）2, which is responsible for the refinement fading in Al-5Cu alloy. These indicate that the refinement fading will not occur only when both the TiC particles and TiAl3 compound of Al-Ti-C refiner are stable in Al alloys.

In this paper, antibody-modified silica nanoparticles were successfully synthesized, and their average di- ameter was （1094-9） nm. These particles were mixed with cell extracts to target a protein, then, an antibody labeled with fluorescein isothiocyanate（FITC） was added to form FITC-labeled nanoparticle complexes and the product was analyzed using flow cytometry. The results confirm that the intracellular proteins and biomarkers were precisely and sensitivity detected by the novel method in vitro. The FITC intensity of Akt antibody-conjugated particles was in- creased ≥ 10-fold compared with that of control samples in MCF-7 cells. Furthermore, it can also simultaneously measure several proteins when modified with different antibodies.

How to represent a human face pattern?While it is presented in a continuous way in human visual system,computers often store and process it in a discrete manner with 2D arrays of *** authors attempt to learn a continuous surface representation for face image with explicit ***,an explicit model(EmFace)for human face representation is pro-posed in the form of a finite sum of mathematical terms,where each term is an analytic function ***,to estimate the unknown parameters of EmFace,a novel neural network,EmNet,is designed with an encoder-decoder structure and trained from massive face images,where the encoder is defined by a deep convolutional neural network and the decoder is an explicit mathematical expression of *** authors demonstrate that our EmFace represents face image more accurate than the comparison method,with an average mean square error of 0.000888,0.000936,0.000953 on LFW,IARPA Janus Benchmark-B,and IJB-C *** results show that,EmFace has a higher representation performance on faces with various expressions,postures,and other ***,EmFace achieves reasonable performance on several face image processing tasks,including face image restoration,denoising,and transformation.

The measurement of pig backfat thickness(PBFT)has to stand up to challenges with the reliability,accuracy,and *** PBFT timely and precisely from a finite distance is extremely necessary to improve the process of pig production and implement effective *** an attempt to alleviate these problems,an online handheld terminal was designed with a new method based on ultrasonic technology for measuring PBFT during the process of pig breeding,which can overcome the difficulties encountered in other destructive *** terminal comprised three main components:a main microcontroller unit(MCU)to measure PBFT,a RFID module to identify each pig and send data(***,measurement time and PBFT)to a server via wireless transmission module,and an ultrasonic transducer to drive and receive signals between them.A measurement error within 0-1 mm was acquired through testing three groups of *** indicated that this handheld terminal had a required accuracy and proved that the ultrasonic wave processing method can be deployed in a mobile terminal for PBFT *** also provided a feasible nondestructive alternative to measure *** with information management software platform,this method may ultimately help pig production farmers measure the PBFT accurately and conveniently,and improve the pig production efficiency.

Implicit polynomial(IP)fitting is an effective method to quickly represent two-dimensional(2D)image boundary contour in the form of mathematical *** the same maximum degree,the fractional implicit polynomial(FIP)can express more curve details than IP and has obvious advantages for the representation of complex boundary *** existing studies,algebraic distance is mainly used as the fitting objective of the *** the time cost is reduced,there are problems of low fitting accuracy and spurious zero *** this paper,we propose a two-stage neural network with differentiable geometric distance,which uses FIP to achieve mathematical representation,called *** the first stage,the continuity constraint is used to obtain a rough outline of the fitting *** the second stage,differentiable geometric distance is gradually added to fine-tune the polynomial coefficients to obtain a contour representation with higher *** results show that TSEncoder can achieve mathematical representation of 2D image boundary contour with high accuracy.

In the construction of high performance planar perovskite solar cells(PSCs),the modification of compact TiO_(2) layer and engineering of perovskite/TiO_(2) interfaces are essential for efficient electron transfer and retarded charge recombination *** this work,a facile and effective strategy is developed to modify the surface of compact TiO_(2) layer by TiCl_(4)-TiCl_(3) mixture *** with conventional sole TiCl_(4),the TiCl_(4)-TiCl_(3) treatment takes the advantage of accelerated and controlled hydrolysis of TiCl_(3),therefore TiO_(2) with dominating anatase phase and moderate roughness is obtained to facilitate the growth of CsPbI_(2) Br perovskite layer with high ***,the oxidation-driven hydrolysis of TiCl_(3) component results in surface Cl doping that facilitates interfacial electron transfer with retarded recombination *** average power conversion efficiency(PCE) of carbon-based CsPbI_(2) Br planar PSCs based on TiCl_(4)-TiCl_(3) treatment increases to 14.18% from the intial 13.04% based on conventional sole TiCl_(4) *** champion PSC exhibits a PCE of 14.46%(V_(oc)=1.28 V,J_(sc)=14.21 mA/cm^(2),and FF=0.794),which is one of the highest PCEs for carbon-based CsPbI_(2) Br PSCs.

A novel power-on-reset(POR) circuit with simple architecture, small values of capacitances, ultralower power consumption, and self-adjustable delay time of reset pulse for passive UHF RFID tags is presented in this paper. A proposed delay element was adopted for the features of small capacitances and wide power supply rise time range. An inverter was used as a two-inputs logic device to simplify the architecture of the circuit. The technology used for design and simulation is SMIC 0.18 μm RF. Simulation results show that the circuit functions well under different process corners with different power supply rise time, and is able to generate a POR signal after the power supply is briefly powered off. The static power consumption is less than 30 pA. Moreover, the circuit operates properly along with other modules of analog front-end.
