An efficient electrocatalyst is indispensable to significantly reduce energy consumption and accelerate the conversion efficiency of water *** this work,the honeycomb-like porous MoCo alloy on nitrogen-doped three-dimensional(3D)porous graphene substrate(Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG)has been synthesized from the annealing of layered double hydroxide(MoCo-LDH@NPG).Especially,the Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG exhibits low hydrogen evolution overpotential of 75 mV(10 mA·cm^(-2))and a Tafel slope of 69.9 mV·dec^(-1),which can be attributed to highly conductive NPG substrate,the unique nanostructure and the synergistic effect of Mo and ***,the Mo_(0.3)Co_(0.7)@NPG can maintain the original morphology and high catalytic activity after 50-h stability *** work proposes a general strategy to synthesize a multi-element alloy on conductive substrates with high porosity for electrocatalytic reaction.

Olmesartan Reduces New-onset Atrial Fibrillation and Atrial Fibrillation Burden after Dual-chamber Pacemaker Implantation in Atrioventricular Block Patients

Background： Atrial fibrillation （AF） is the rnost frequent tachyarrhythmia in patients with a permanent pacemaker. Angiotensin II receptor antagonists have a protective effect against the occurrence of AF in patients with heart diseases. This study aimed to assess the effectiveness of olmcsartan in the prevention of new-onset AF and AF burden in atrioventricular block （AVB） patients with dual-chamber （DDD） pacemaker implantation. Methods： This was a single-center, prospective, randomized, single-blind, controlled clinical study. A total of 116 AVB patients, who received DDD pacemakers implantation with the percentage of ventricular pacing （VP%） _〉40% from April 22, 2011 to December 24, 2012, were prospectively randomized to olrnesartan group （20 mg per day; n - 57） or control group （n = 59）. Patients were lbllowed up using pacernaker prograrnming± 12-lead electrocardiography in the intrinsic sinus rhythm, laboratory examinations, and transthoracic echocardiography at 24 months. Atrial high rate events （AHREs） were defined as 180 beats/min over a minimum of 5 min. AF burden was calculated by the number of hours with AHREs divided by the number of measurement hours. Results： Ten （17.5%） patients in the olmesartan group and 24 patients （40.7%） in the control group occurred new-onset AF, and the difference between two groups was statistically significant （P = 0.04）. AF burden was lower in olmesartan group than that in control group （8.02 ± 3.10% vs. 13.66 ± 6.14%, P = 0.04）. There were no significant differences in mean days to the first occurrence of AHREs and mean cumulative numbers of AHREs between two groups （P = 0.89 and P = 0.42, respectively）. Moreover, olmesartan group had smaller values of maximal P-wave durations and P-wave dispersion （PD） after 24 months follow-up compared with the control group （ 109.5 ± 7.4 ins vs. 113.4 ± 7.1 ms, P = 0.00; and 40.6 ± 4.5 ms vs. 43.3 ± 4.4 ins, P - 0.02, respectively）. Objective:To evaluate if berberine can act on vitamin D receptors(VDR)and thereby regulate the expression of tight junction proteins(TJPs)in irritable bowel syndrome-diarrhea-predominant(IBS-D)***:The newborn rats were induced into IBS-D rat model via neonatal maternal separation combined with acetic acid chemical *** modeling,the model was evaluated and rats were divided into the control group and berberine treatment groups(0.85,1.7 and 3.4 mg/kg,once a day for 2 weeks).The distal colon was obtained and colonic epithelial cells(CECs)were isolated and cultured after IBS-D model *** vitamin D receptor response element(VDRE)reporter gene was determined in the CECs of IBS-D rats to analyze the effect of berberine on the VDRE *** overexpression or silencing technology was used to analyze whether VDR plays a role in promoting intestinal barrier repair,and to determine which region of VDR plays a role in berberine-regulated intestinal ***:The IBS-D rat model was successfully constructed and the symptoms were improved by berberine in a dose-dependent manner(P<0.05).The activity of VDRE promoter was also effectively promoted by berberine(P<0.05).Berberine increased the expression of TJPs in IBS-D CECs(P<0.05).VDR expression was significantly increased after transfection of different domains of VDR when compared to normal control and basic plasmid groups(all P<0.05).RT-qPCR and Western blot results showed that compared with the blank group,expressions of occludin and zonula occludens-1 were significantly higher in VDR containing groups(all P<0.05).Berberine plus pCMV-Myc-VDR-N group exerted the highest expression levels of occludin and zonula occludens-1(P<0.05).Conclusion:Berberine enhances intestinal mucosal barrier function of IBS-D rats by promoting VDR activity,and the main site of action is the N-terminal region of VDR.

Viewing the problem of high ene rgy consumption in the process of recovering rare earths from rare earth molten salt electrolysis slag,an environmentally friendly and low carbon process by sub-molten salt decomposition was *** thermodynamic analysis of sub-molten salt reaction indicates that the recovery of rare earths from the slag using sub-molten salt medium is thermodynamically *** this process,the rare earth fluoride and lithium in the slag are almost transformed into rare earth hydroxide,sodium fluoride and lithium hydroxide,fluorine and lithium are transferred into the washing solution,and the rare earths in the residues can be leached into solution by acid *** the optimum reaction conditions of reaction temperature 200℃,reaction time 3 h,NaOH initial concentration 80%,NaOH-Slag mass ratio 3:1,the leaching efficiency of rare earths,fluorine and lithium can reach to 99.05%,98.23% and 99.22%.After evaporation,the fluorine and lithium in the washing solution can be obtained in the forms of sodium fluoride and lithium fluoride,the recovery efficiency reach 95.5%and 92.8%,*** RE oxides(99.53%) can be obtained from the leaching solution after precipitation and roasting.

In the staged multi-cluster fracturing of shale gas horizontal wells, ball sealers are used to ensure uniform fluid distribution among clusters, a strategy that is both cost-effective and operationally beneficial. Despite these advantages, comprehending the ball sealers' dynamics within the wellbore and their plugging behavior at perforations is still challenging. This complexity results in prediction difficulties regarding their diversion efficiency. To address this, our study utilized a semi-resolved CFD-DEM model based on kernel approximation to simulate the behavior of medium-sized ball sealers in single and multiple cluster scenarios. Our findings from a single cluster scenario reveal that the plugging probability is co-determined by velocity gradients in the fluid ingestion area near the perforation, backflow region, and inertial forces of the ball sealers. As the critical flow rate is achieved, the plugging probability negatively correlated with fluid viscosity and displacement, and positively correlated with the perforation flow ratio (PFR), the difference in particle-fluid density, ball sealer’s diameter, and the ball sealer’s offset from the pipeline center. Temporary plugging control efficiency was used to evaluate the flow balance effect among multiple clusters. The results indicate that an increased number of ball sealers enhances the fault tolerance during the temporary plugging process. Nevertheless, excessive ball sealers might undermine the temporary plugging control efficiency, as perforations with lower fluid inflow rates are unexpectedly plugging. Higher differences in fluid injection rates between clusters led to increased efficiency in temporary plugging control. Premature deployment of ball sealers cannot effectively plug perforations with marginally higher fluid inflow rates, but instead accidently plug intermediate clusters with lower fluid inflow rates. These findings offer a theoretical basis for optimizing the design of ball sealers.

Second near-infrared(NIR-II)window optical molecular imaging kicks off a new revolution in high-quality imaging in vivo,but always suffers from the hurdles of inevitable tissue autofluorescence background and NIR-II probe ***,we prepare a Förster resonance energy transfer-based ratiometric NIR-II window hydrogen sulfide(H_(2)S)sensor through the combination of an H_(2)S-responsive NIR-II cyanine dye(acceptor,LET-1055)and an H_(2)S-inert rhodamine hybrid polymethine dye(donor,Rh930).This sensor not only exhibits high sensitivity and selectivity,but also shows rapid reaction kinetics(~20 min)and relatively low limit of detection(~96 nM)toward H_(2)S,allowing in vivo ratiometric NIR-II fluorescence imaging of orthotopic liver and colon tumors and visualization of the drug-induced hepatic H_(2)S *** findings provide the potential for advancing the feasibility of NIR-II activity-based sensing for in vivo clinical diagnosis.
