Structural Properties of Ions and Polyelectrolytes in Aqueous Solutions under External Electric Fields:The Sign Effect

We utilize molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the microstructures of ions and polyelectrolytes in aqueous solutions under external electric *** focusing on the multi-body interactions between ionic components and H_(2)O molecules,as well as their responses to the external electric fields,we clarify several nontrivial molecular features of the ionic and polyelectrolyte solutions,such as the solvations of cations and anions,clustering of the ions,and dispersions/aggregations of polyelectrolyte chains,as well as the corresponding responses of H_(2)O molecules in these *** simulations illustrate the variations in structures of ionic solutions caused by reversing the charge sign of the ions,and elucidate the disparity in structures between anionic and cationic polyelectrolyte solutions in the presence of the external electric *** work clarifies the mechanism for the alternations in complex multi-body interactions in aqueous solutions caused by the application electric field,which can contribute to the fundamental understanding of the physical and chemical natures of ion-containing and charged polymeric systems.

Ubiquitin-specific protease 21 promotes tumorigenicity and stemness of colorectal cancer by deubiquitinating and stabilizing ZEB1

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer(CRC)is one very usual tumor together with higher death ***-specific protease 21(USP21)has been confirmed to take part into the regulation of CRC progression through serving as a ***,the promotive function of USP21 has also discovered in the progression of ***1 has illustrated to be modulated by USP7,USP22 and USP51 in ***,the regulatory functions of USP21 on ZEB1 in CRC progression need more *** To investigate the relationship between USP21 and ZEB1 in CRC *** The mRNA and protein expressions were assessed through RT-qPCR,western blot and IHC *** interaction between USP21 and ZEB1 was evaluated through Co-IP and GST pull down *** cell proliferation was detected through colony formation *** cell migration and invasion abilities were determined through Transwell *** stemness was tested through sphere formation *** tumor growth was evaluated through in vivo mice *** In this work,USP21 and ZEB1 exhibited higher expression in CRC,and resulted into poor ***,the interaction between USP21 and ZEB1 was further *** was demonstrated that USP21 contributed to the stability of ZEB1 through modulating ubiquitination *** addition,USP21 streng-thened cell proliferation,migration and stemness through regulating *** last,through in vivo assays,it was illustrated that USP21/ZEB1 axis aggravated tumor *** For the first time,these above findings manifested that USP21 promoted tumorigenicity and stemness of CRC by deubiquitinating and stabilizing *** discovery suggested that USP21/ZEB1 axis may provide novel sights for the treatment of CRC.

Joint Sample Position Based Noise Filtering and Mean Shift Clustering for Imbalanced Classification Learning

The problem of imbalanced data classification learning has received much *** classification algorithms are susceptible to data skew to favor majority samples and ignore minority *** weighted minority oversampling technique(MWMOTE)is an effective approach to solve this problem,however,it may suffer from the shortcomings of inadequate noise filtering and synthesizing the same samples as the original minority *** this end,we propose an improved MWMOTE method named joint sample position based noise filtering and mean shift clustering(SPMSC)to solve these ***,in order to effectively eliminate the effect of noisy samples,SPMsC uses a new noise filtering mechanism to determine whether a minority sample is noisy or not based on its position and distribution relative to the majority *** that MWMOTE may generate duplicate samples,we then employ the mean shift algorithm to cluster minority samples to reduce synthetic replicate ***,data cleaning is performed on the processed data to further eliminate class *** on extensive benchmark datasets demonstrate the effectiveness of SPMsC compared with other sampling methods.

Pancreatic acinar cell carcinoma(PACC)is a rare malignant tumor of pancreatic epithelial cells,which produces pancreatic exocrine *** originates from acinar cells and terminal branches of the pancreatic ducts in the exocrine tissue of the *** accounts for 1%−2%of pancreatic exocrine tumors[1].Herein,we present an elderly woman with PACC who recovered after effective laparoscopic *** tumor was located on the left side of the abdomen;imaging suggested that it was a gastrointestinal stromal tumor of the gastric wall origin,infiltrating the tail of the pancreas and omentum,while postoperative pathology suggested PACC.

Particle entrainment is an inevitable phenomenon in pipeline systems,especially during the development and extraction phases of oil and gas *** predicting the critical velocity for particle transport is a key focus for implementing effective sand control *** work presents a semi-supervised learning–deep hybrid kernel extreme learning machine(SSL-DHKELM)model for predicting the critical velocity,which integrates multiple machine learning theories including the deep learning approach,which is adept at advanced feature ***,the SSL framework enhances the model's capabilities when data availability is *** improved slime mould algorithm is also employed to optimize the model's *** proposed model has high accuracy on both the sample dataset and out-of-sample *** trained with only 10%of the data,the model's error still did not increase ***,this model achieves superior predictive accuracy compared to existing mechanistic models,demonstrating its impressive performance and robustness.

Hole cleaning evaluation and installation spacing optimization of cuttings bed remover in extended-reach drilling

In extended-reach or long-horizontal drilling,cuttings usually deposit at the bottom of the *** cuttings accumulate to a certain thickness,complex problems such as excessive torque and drag,tubing buckling,and pipe stuck probably occur,which results in a lot of non-productive time and remedial *** bed remover can efficiently destroy deposited cuttings in time through hydraulic and mechanical stirring *** paper aims to build a method for hole cleaning evaluation and installation spacing optimization of cuttings bed remover to improve the wellbore cleaning ***,a Computational Fluid Dynamics approach with Eulerian—Eulerian multiphase model was utilized to investigate the mechanism of cuttings transportation,and a new type of cuttings bed remover was ***,an evaluation method of hole cleaning effect of remover was *** that,the effects of several drilling parameters on hole cleaning including flow rate of drilling fluid,rotational speed of drillpipe,rate of penetration,wellbore size,rheological property of drilling fluid,and remover eccentricity on the performance of cuttings bed remover were *** results demonstrate that the new type of remover with streamline blade performs better than conventional *** efficiency of hole cleaning is greatly improved by increasing the rotational speed of drillpipe,flow rate of drilling fluid,remover eccentricity,and 6 rpm Fann dial reading for drilling *** higher rate of penetration and large wellbore size result in worse hole *** findings can serve as an important guide for the structure optimization design of cuttings bed remover and installation spacing of removers.

Investigation on the influence of vortex generator on particle resuspension

The vortex generator(VG)and its well-known effect in flow optimization are widely studied and employed across different engineering ***,while the same working principles of VG may be well suited for the applications on surface-cleaning technologies,such promising potential is hardly,if any,explored in the published ***,in the present study,the influence on flow-induced particle resuspension brought by a rectangular vG in a channel flow is investigated with the help of highfidelity computational fluid dynamics *** increases of particle removal forces and resuspension rates are discovered in long,strip-like regions with reduced boundary-layer thickness resulted from the vG-induced vortices,and the enhancement effect is especially significant for configurations with the VG installed at a greater angle of *** is also shown that while the resuspension enhancements on the lower and the upper surfaces of the channel exhibit distinct statistical characteristics,having a VG in the channel improves the overall particle-removing capability of the channel flow by introducing higher surface-averaged removal forces and particle resuspension *** but not least,the increase of resuspension rate is especially significant for the smaller,micron-scale particles which are otherwise hardly disturbed by a VG-less channel flow,and such resuspension-enhancement effectgenerally subsides with increasing particle size.

Machine learning-assisted sparse observation assimilation for real-time aerodynamic field perception

Accurate aerodynamic distribution perception and real-time flight state evaluation are crucial for flight safety,e.g.,stall ***,the observations are usually sparse due to limitations in sensor mounting space and cost,and a reconstruction technology is urgently ***,a machine learning-assisted assimilation method based on sparse observations has been *** from the traditional reconstruction methods focusing on boundary condition correction,the proposed method formulates the flow field pressure distribution as a linear superposition of flow field modes,thereby forming a real-time reconstruction pattern that combines offline modal extraction using computational fluid dynamics(CFD)with real-time determination of modal weights using a neural *** this study,CFD simulations were conducted under 800different operating conditions for common modal extraction and model *** weights of these modes were determined online based on merely five observations for reconstructing the full pressure field.A pressure reconstruction with a relative error of 6.1%and a mean square error of 0.003 was achieved within the prescribed condition *** computational cost was just2 ms for each reconstruction run,significantly faster than the 20 min required by the classical reconstruction ensemble transform Kalman *** also showed that the method maintains almost the same accuracy amidst 1.5%measurement *** practical examples,shock waves and the change of lift coefficient were analyzed using the proposed method,providing remarkable evidence for the capability of the method in supporting stall *** validate the method’s effectiveness and explore its potential in real-time and accurate monitoring of an aircraft.

A Server Placement Algorithm for Reducing Risk and Improving Power Utilization in Data Centers

As the power demand in data centers is increasing,the power capacity of the power supply system has become an essential resource to be *** many data centers use power oversubscription to make full use of the power capacity,there are unavoidable power supply risks associated with ***,how to improve the data center power capacity utilization while ensuring power supply security has become an important *** solve this problem,we first define it and propose a risk evaluation metric called Weighted Power Supply Risk(WPSRisk).Then,a method,named Hybrid Genetic Algorithm with Ant Colony System(HGAACS),is proposed to improve power capacity utilization and reduce power supply risks by optimizing the server placement in the power supply *** uses historical power data of each server to find a better placement solution by population *** possesses not only the remarkable local search ability of Ant Colony System(ACS),but also enhances the global search capability by incorporating genetic operators from Genetic Algorithm(GA).To verify the performance of HGAACS,we experimentally compare it with five other placement *** experimental results show that HGAACS can perform better than other algorithms in both improving power utilization and reducing the riskof powersupply system.

Aiming at the triangular fuzzy(TF)multi-attribute decision making(MADM)problem with a preference for the distribution density of attribute(DDA),a decision making method with TF number two-dimensional density(TFTD)operator is proposed based on the density operator theory for the decision maker(DM).Firstly,a simple TF vector clustering method is proposed,which considers the feature of TF number and the geometric distance of ***,the least deviation sum of squares method is used in the program model to obtain the density weight ***,two TFTD operators are defined,and the MADM method based on the TFTD operator is ***,a numerical example is given to illustrate the superiority of this method,which can not only solve the TF MADM problem with a preference for the DDA but also help the DM make an overall comparison.
