Human-specific insertions play important roles in human phenotypes and *** we reported a 446-bp insertion(Insert-446)in intron 11 of the TBC1D8B gene,located on chromosome X,and traced its origin to a portion of intron 6 of the EBF1 gene on chromosome ***,Insert-446 was present in the human Neanderthal and Denisovans genomes,and was fixed in humans after human-chimpanzee *** have demonstrated that Insert-446 acts as an enhancer through binding transcript factors that promotes a higher expression of human TBC1D8B gene as compared with orthologs in *** addition,over-expression TBC1D8B promoted cell proliferation and migration through“a dual finger”catalytic mechanism(Arg538 and gln573)in the TBC domain in vitro and knockdown of TBC1D8B attenuated tumorigenesis in *** of Insert-446 prevented cell proliferation and migration in cancer and normal *** results reveal that the human-specific Insert-446 promotes cell proliferation and migration by upregulating the expression of TBC1D8B *** findings provide a significant insight into the effects of human-specific insertions on evolution.

Neuromorphic computing is known for its efficient computational speed,low latency,and reduced power consumption,which is considered a pivotal technology to overcome the von Neumann *** synapses are an indispensable component of neuromorphic computational artificial neural *** guarantee effective and precise processing of optical signals,it must have a high responsivity,detectivity,and the ability to adapt to various ***,a synaptic transistor based on the HfS_(2)/VO_(2) heterojunction with a responsivity of8.6×10^(3) A·W^(-1)and a detectivity of 1.26×10^(14)Jones at405 nm laser was ***,the typical synaptic behavior was successfully simulated,including postsynaptic currents(PSCs),the transition from shortterm plasticity(STP)to long-term plasticity(LTP).When VO_(2) converts from the semiconductor state to the metal state,the HfS_(2)/VO_(2) heterojunction transforms into a Schottky heterojunction from a TypeⅡheterojunction with ***'s important,the heterojunction still exhibits excellent responsivity and detectivity,as well as stability of synaptic *** addition,the classical Pavlovian conditioning experiment is simulated under different laser intensity to study the brain's associative learning *** results demonstrate that the HfS_(2)/VO_(2) heterojunction synapse exhibits significant responsivity and detectivity and is adaptable to high-temperature environments,showing great potential for neuromorphic computational applic ations.

Objective To clarify the potential mechanism of Banxia Xiexin Decoction(BXD)on colorectal cancer(CRC)from the perspective of *** Forty male C57BL/6 mice were randomly divided into normal control(NC),azoxymethane/dextran sulfate sodium(AOM/DSS)model,low-dose BXD(L-BXD),high-dose BXD(H-BXD)and mesalamine(MS)groups according to a random number table,8 mice in each *** cancer model was induced by AOM/*** was administered daily at doses of 3.915(L-BXD)and 15.66 g/kg(H-BXD)by gavage for consecutive 21 days,and 100 mg/kg MS was used as positive *** the entire modeling cycle,colon length of mice was measured and quantity of colorectal tumors were *** spleen and thymus index were determined by calculating the spleen/thymus weight to body *** cytokine and changes of serum metabolites were analyzed by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits and ultra performance liquid chromatography-quadrupole/time-of-flight mass spectrometry(UPLC-Q/TOF-MS),*** Notably,BXD supplementation protected against weight loss,mitigated tumor formation,and diminished histologic damage in mice treated with AOM/DSS(Pgroup,102 kinds of differential metabolites were screened in the AOM/DSS group,including 48 potential biomarkers,involving 18 main metabolic *** 18 potential biomarkers related to CRC were identified,and the anti-CRC mechanism of BXD was closely related to D-glutamine and D-glutamate metabolism,phenylalanine,tyrosine and tryptophan biosynthesis,arginine biosynthesis,nitrogen metabolism and so *** BXD exerts partial protective effects on AOM/DSS-induced CRC by reducing inflammation,protecting organism immunity ability,and regulating amino acid metabolism.

The scaling relation of central massive black holes（MBHs） and their host galaxies is well-studied for supermassive BHs(SMBHs,MBH≥10～6M⊙).However,this relation has large uncertainties in the mass range of the intermediate-mass BHs(IMBHs,MBH～10～3-10～6M⊙).Since green pea（gP） galaxies are luminous compact dwarf galaxies,which may be likely to host less massive SMBHs or even IMBHs,we systematically search for MBHs in a large sample of 2190 gP galaxies at zgle-epoch virial masses ranging from MBH～104.7to 108.5M⊙(median 105.85±0.64M⊙).Among the 59 MBH candidates,36 have black hole masses MBH≤10～6M⊙（IMBH candidates）,one of which even has MBH■10～5M⊙.We find that the MBH-M*relation of our MBH sample is consistent with the MBH-Mbulgerelation for SMBHs,while is above the MBH-M*relation for MBHs in dwarf galaxies in the same mass ***,we show that 25 MBH candidates,including 4 IMBH candidates,have additional evidence of black hole activities,assessed through various methods such as the broad-line width,BPT diagram,mid-infrared color,X-ray luminosity,and radio *** studies show that it is very promising to find IMBHs in gP galaxies,and the BH sample so obtained enables us to probe the connection between the MBHs and compact dwarf galaxies in the low-redshift Universe.

BACKgROUND gender consciousness directly affects the development of gender identity,which is a continuous and lifelong ***,hospitalization is a part of many children's lives and has an impact on their gender *** To investigate the current situation of gender identity in lower primary school children by conducting a survey of 202 hospitalized children in the lower grades and to provide a theoretical basis and foundation for the cultivation of gender identity and medical treatment of children based on the *** study aims to inspire clinical medical staff to scientifically and reasonably arrange hospital wards for lower primary school children and pay attention to gender protection during the medical treatment process and to help children shape a unified and clear gender identity,which will enable them to better integrate into society and promote their personality *** The gender consciousness scale for elementary and middle school students was RESULTS gender identity was already present in lower primary school *** children's gender roles and gender equality consciousness were strong,exceeding the critical value,but their gender characteristics,gender identity,and gender ideal consciousness were *** aged 6 had the weakest gender identity,and girls had significantly stronger gender identity than *** gender identity is already present in lower primary school children,providing a basis and inspiration for the cultivation of gender identity and medical treatment of lower primary school *** medical staff should be aware of and understand these results and should scientifically and reasonably arrange hospital wards for lower primary school children.

Chlorajaponins A—Q,lindenane-Related Sesquiterpenoid Dimers from Chloranthus japonicus and Their Biological Activities

Seventeen undescribed lindenane-related sesquiterpenoid dimers,chlorajaponins A—Q(1—17),and 13 reported analogs(18—30)were isolated from Chloranthus japonicus *** 1 possesses an unprecedented 3/5/7/5/5/6/5/3 fused octacyclic scaffold,featuring a 6(5→4)-abeo-lindenane monomer,while 2 exhibits a 3/5/6/6/5/6/5/3 fused octacyclic *** structures were determined through a combination of spectroscopic analyses and X-ray *** 1,2,and 18 demonstrated significant inhibitory effects on lipid accumulation and effectively reduced the levels of triglycerides and total cholesterol,as well as the levels of aspartate aminotransferase and alanine aminotransferase in a Hepg2 cell *** addition,compounds 1,2,and 18 significantly suppressed the protein expression of the fatty acid synthase(FASN)and the sterol regulatory element-binding protein 1(SREBP1).Moreover,the anti-inflammatory assay showed that compounds 19—22 and 25 inhibited the NO production induced by lipopolysaccharide in RAW 264.7 macrophages with IC50 values of 7.89±0.44,6.25±0.46,2.98±0.29,10.77±0.60,and 3.60±0.28μmol/L.

Delayed neurological dysfunction following posterior laminectomy with lateral mass screw fixation:A case report and review of literature

BACKgROUND While most complications of cervical surgery are reversible,some,such as symptomatic postoperative spinal epidural hematoma(SEH),which generally occurs within 24 h,are associated with increased morbidity and *** neurological dysfunction is diagnosed in cases when symptoms present>3 d *** to its rarity,the risk factors for delayed neurological dysfunction are ***,this condition can result in irreversible neurological deficits and serious *** this paper,we present a case of postoperative SEH that developed three days after hematoma *** SUMMARY A 68-year-old man with an American Spinal Injury Association(ASIA)grade C injury was admitted to our hospital with neck pain and tetraplegia following a *** C3-C7 posterior laminectomy and the lateral mass screw fixation surgery were performed on the tenth ***,the patient showed no changes in muscle strength or ASIA *** patient experienced neck pain and subcutaneous swelling on the third day postoperatively,his muscle strength decreased,and his ASIA score was grade *** resonance imaging showed hypointense signals on T1 weighted image(T1WI)and T2WI located behind the epidural space,with spinal cord *** surgical intervention for the hematoma was performed 12 h after *** hypoproteinemia and pleural effusion did not improve in the perioperative period,the patient recovered to ASIA grade C on day 30 after surgery,and was transferred to a functional rehabilitation exercise *** This case shows that amelioration of low blood albumin and pleural effusion is an important aspect of the perioperative management of cervical *** to relieve the pressure on the spinal cord should be performed as soon as possible to decrease neurological disabilities.
