Differential bonding behaviors of sodium/potassium-ion storage in sawdust waste carbon derivatives

Sodium-ion batteries(SIBs) and potassium-ion batteries(PIBs) are the most promising alternatives to lithium-ion batteries, and thus have drawn intensive research attention. Porous carbon materials from different precursors have been widely used as anode materials owing to their compatible storage effectiveness of both larger radii sodium and potassium ions. However, the differential bonding behaviors of Na and K ions with porous carbon-based anode are the significant one worth investigating, which could provide a clean picture of alkali ions storage mechanism. Therefore, in this work, we prepare a porous carbon network derived from sawdust(SDC) wastes, to further analyze the differences on sodium and potassium ions storage behaviors in terms of bond-forming process. It is found that, as-prepared SDC anodes could deliver stable sodium and potassium storage capacities, however, there are notable distinctions in terms of electrochemical behaviors and diffusion processes. By virtue of ex-situ XRD and Raman spectroscopy, the phase transition reaction of potassium ions could be well-observed, and the results shows that the multiple intercalated compounds was formed in SDC network during ions insertion, further resulting in slower diffusion kinetics and larger resistance compared to non-bonded process of sodium ions storage. This study provides more insights into the differences between sodium and potassium ions storage, as well as the energy storage mechanism of porous carbon as anodes for secondary batteries.

Carbon nitride-based photocatalysts hold an enormous potential in producing hydrogen.A strategy to simultaneously create isotype heterojunctions and active sites in highly-crystallized carbon nitride is anticipated to significantly boost the photocatalytic activity,but is yet to be ***,we find that cobalt salt added in the ionothermal synthesis can promote the phase transition of heptazine-based crystalline carbon nitride(CCN)to triazine-based poly(triazine imide)(PTI),rendering the creation of singleatom cobalt coordinated isotype CCN/PTI ***-CCN/PTI exhibits an appreciable apparent quantum yield of 20.88%at 425 nm for photocatalytic hydrogen production with a rate achieving3538μmol h^(-1)g^(-1)(λ>420 nm),which is 4.8 times that of CCN and 27.6 times that of *** high photocatalytic activity is attributed to the Type II isotype highly-crystallized CCN/PTI heterojunction for promoting charge carrier migration,and the single-atom Co sites for accelerating surface oxidation reaction.

In this paper,we consider an optimal investment and proportional reinsurance problem with delay,in which the insurer’s surplus process is described by a jump-diffusion *** insurer can buy proportional reinsurance to transfer part of the insurance claims *** addition to reinsurance,she also can invests her surplus in a financial market,which is consisted of a risk-free asset and a risky asset described by Heston’s stochastic volatility(SV)*** the performance-related capital flow,the insurer’s wealth process is modeled by a stochastic differential delay *** insurer’s target is to find the optimal investment and proportional reinsurance strategy to maximize the expected exponential utility of combined terminal *** explicitly derive the optimal strategy and the value ***,we provide some numerical examples to illustrate our results.

Interface charges boosted ultrafast lithiation in Li_4Ti_5O_12 revealed by in-situ electron holography

It is still a great challenge at present to combine the high rate capability of the electrochemical capacitor with the high electrochemical capacity feature of rechargeable battery in energy storage and transport devices. By studying the lithiation mechanism of Li_4Ti_5O_12 （LTO） using in-situ electron holography, we find that double charge layers are formed at the interface of the insulating Li_4Ti_5O_12 （Li_4） phase and the semiconducting Li_7Ti_5O_12 （Li_7） phase, and can greatly boost the lithiation kinetics. The electron wave phase of the LTO particle is found to gradually shrink with the interface movement, leaving a positive electric field from Li_7 to Li_4 phase. Once the capacitive interface charges are formed, the lithiation of the core/shell particle could be established within 10 s. The ultrafast kinetics is attributed to the built-in interface potential and the mixed Ti3＋/Ti4＋ sites at the interface that could be maximally lowering the thermodynamic barrier for Li ion migration.

Modeling of flow and debris ejection in blasting erosion arc machining in end milling mode

Experimental Investigation on Heat Transfer and Combustion of a Stirling Engine Combustor Fueled by Reformed Gas and Diesel Fuel

Thermochemical recuperation heat recovery is an advanced waste heat utilization technology that can effectively recover exhaust waste heat from oxy-fuel Stirling *** novel combustor of a Stirling engine with thermochemical recuperation heat recovery system is expected to utilize both reformed gas and diesel fuels as sources of *** this research,the effects of various factors,including the H_(2)O addition,fuel distribution ratio(FDR),excess oxygen coefficient,and cyclone structure on the temperature distribution in the combustor,combustion emissions,and external combustion system efficiency of the Stirling engine were experimentally *** the increase of steam-to-carbon ratio(S/C),the temperature difference between the upper and lower heating tubes reduces and the circumferential temperature fluctuation decreases,and the combustion of diesel and reformed gas remains close to complete *** S/C=2,the external combustion efficiency is 80.6%,indicating a 1.6%decrease compared to conventional *** the increase of FDR,the temperature uniformity of the heater tube is improved,and the CO and HC emissions ***,the impact of the FDR on the maximum temperature difference and temperature fluctuation across the heater is *** the FDR rises from 21%to 38%,the external combustion efficiency increases from 87.4%to92.3%.The excess oxygen coefficient plays a secondary role in influencing temperature uniformity and temperature difference,and the reformed gas and diesel fuel can be burned efficiently at a low excess oxygen coefficient of *** an increase in the cyclone angle,the heater tube temperature increases,while the maximum temperature difference at the lower part decreases,and the temperature fluctuation ***,the CO and HC emissions increase,and the external combustion efficiency experiences a decrease.A cyclone angle of 30°is found to be an appropriate value for achieving optimal
