Advancem.nts in sensor technology have significantly enhanced atm.spheric ***,m.tal oxide and carbon(m._(x)/C)hybrids have gained attention for their exceptional sensitivity and room.tem.erature sensing ***,previous m.thods of synthesizing m._(x)/C com.osites suffer from.problem.,including inhom.geneity,aggregation,and challenges in ***,we introduce a refined m.thod that em.loys a m.tal–organic fram.work(m.F)as a precursor com.ined with direct laser *** inherent structure of m.Fs ensures a uniform.distribution of m.tal ions and organic linkers,yielding hom.geneous m._(x)/C *** laser processing facilitates precise m.cropatterning(m.com.arable to typical photolithography)of the m._(x)/C *** optim.zed m.F-derived m._(x)/C sensor rapidly detected ethanol gas even at room.tem.erature(105 and 18 s for response and recovery,respectively),with a broad range of sensing perform.nce from.170 to 3,400 ppm.and a high response value of up to 3,500%.Additionally,this sensor exhibited enhanced stability and therm.l resilience com.ared to previous m.F-based *** research opens up prom.sing avenues for practical applications in m.F-derived sensing devices.

The vagus nerve(VN)plays an im.ortant role in regulating physiological conditions in the gastrointestinal(GI)tract by com.unicating via the parasym.athetic pathway to the enteric nervous system.ENS).However,the lack of knowledge in the neurophysiology of the VN and GI tract limits the developm.nt of advanced treatm.nts for autonom.c dysfunctions related to the *** better understand the com.licated underlying m.chanism. of the VN-GI tract neurophysiology,it is necessary to use an advanced device enabled by m.crofabrication *** several candidates including intraneural probe array and extraneural cuff electrodes,m.crochannel electrode array devices can be used to interface with sm.ller num.ers of nerve fibers by securing them.in the separate channel *** m.crochannel electrode array devices to interface teased nerve structures are relatively bulky with thickness around 200µ*** thick design can potentially harm.the delicate tissue structures,including the nerve *** this paper,we present a flexible thin film.based m.crochannel electrode array device(thickness:11.5µm.that can interface with one of the subdiaphragm.tic nerve branches of the VN in a *** dem.nstrated recording evoked com.ound action potentials(ECAP)from.a transected nerve ending that has m.ltiple nerve ***,our analysis confirm.d that the signals are from.C-fibers that are critical in regulating autonom.c neurophysiology in the GI tract.

Elucidating the com.lex dynam.c cellular organization in the hypothalam.s is critical for understanding its role in coordinating fundam.ntal body functions. Over the past decade, single-cell and spatial om.cs technologies have significantly evolved, overcom.ng initial technical challenges in capturing and analyzing individual cells. These high-throughput om.cs technologies now offer a rem.rkable opportunity to com.rehend the com.lex spatiotem.oral patterns of transcriptional diversity and cell-type characteristics across the entire hypothalam.s. Current single-cell and single-nucleus RNA sequencing m.thods com.rehensively quantify gene expression by exploring distinct phenotypes across various subregions of the hypothalam.s. However, single-cell/single-nucleus RNA sequencing requires isolating the cell/nuclei from.the tissue, potentially resulting in the loss of spatial inform.tion concerning neuronal networks. Spatial transcriptom.cs m.thods, by bypassing the cell dissociation, can elucidate the intricate spatial organization of neural networks through their im.ging and sequencing technologies. In this review, we highlight the applicative value of single-cell and spatial transcriptom.cs in exploring the com.lex m.lecular-genetic diversity of hypothalam.c cell types, driven by recent high-throughput achievem.nts.

Efficient and cost-effective electrocatalysts that can operate across a wide range of pH conditions are essential for green hydrogen *** by biological system.,Fe_(7)S_(8)nanoparticles incorporated on polydopam.ne m.trix electrocatalyst were synthesized by co-precipitation and annealing *** resulting Fe_(7)S_(8)/C electrocatalyst possesses a three-dim.nsional structure and exhibits enhanced electrocatalytic perform.nce for hydrogen production across various pH ***,the Fe_(7)S_(8)/C electrocatalyst dem.nstrates exceptional activity,achieving low overpotentials of 90.6,45.9,and 107.4 m. in acidic,neutral,and alkaline environm.nts,*** im.edance spectroscopy reveals that Fe_(7)S_(8)/C exhibits the lowest charge transfer resistance under neutral conditions,indicating an im.roved proton-coupled electron transfer ***-wave electron param.gnetic resonance results confirm.a change in the valence state of Fe from.3+to 1+during the hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).These findings closely resem.le the behavior of natural[FeFe]-hydrogenase,known for its superior hydrogen production in neutral *** rem.rkable perform.nce of our Fe_(7)S_(8)/C electrocatalyst opens up new possibilities for utilizing bioinspired m.terials as catalysts for the HER.

Incorporation of higher content Si anode m.terial beyond 5 wt% to Li-ion batteries(LIBs)is challenging,owing to large volum. change,swelling,and solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)instability ***,a strategy of diacetoxydim.thylsilane(DAm.)additive-directed SEI stabilization is proposed for a stable operation of Si-0.33FeSi_(2)(nam.d as Si-Fe)anode without graphite,which provides siloxane inorganics and organics enrichm.nt that com.ensate insufficient passivation of fluoroethylene carbonate(FEC)additive and reduce a dependence on *** stable cycling perform.nce of highly loaded(3.5 m. h cm.(-2))pure Si-Fe anode is achieved with 2 wt%DAm. com.ined with 9 wt%FEC additives under am.ient pressure,yielding high capacity 1270 m. h g^(-1)at 0.5 C and significantly im.roved capacity retention of 81% after 100 cycles,whereas short circuit and rapid capacity fade occur with FEC only ***-directed robust SEI layer dram.tically suppresses swelling and particles crossover through separator,and therefore prevents short circuit,dem.nstrating a possible operation of pure Si or Sidom.nant anodes in the next-generation high-energy-density and safe LIBs.

Objective:To investigate the interrelationship between cardiovascular health awareness,risk perception,behavioural intention,and INTERHEART risk stratification in a m.ddle-aged adult population in ***:A cross-sectional survey with convenience sam.ling was conducted during Novem.er 2022 and January *** com.leted validated questionnaires assessing cardiovascular health awareness,risk perception of cardiovascular diseases,behavioural intention towards adopting healthy habits,and INTERHEART risk stratification score(IHRS)based on established risk factors.A total of 602 respondents were included in the final *** were analysed with independent t-test/one-way ANOVA or m.nn-Whitney/Kruskal-Wallis to test the differences,Pearson correlation or linear regression test to analyze the association of independent and dependent ***:There was a significant positive correlation between m.dical knowledge related to cardiovascular disease(CVD)and knowledge related to CVD risk prevention,risk perception,behavioural intention and IHRS(Pm.r sm.kers,individuals with lower household incom. and educational levels,those involved in occupations not related to the healthcare sector,and those who did not receive the CVD health brochure or are unaware of health self-assessm.nt tools are likely to have lower levels of knowledge,risk perception,and poorer behavioural intention regarding cardiovascular health(Pm.king status,awareness about CVD poster,self-assessm.nt tools were repeatedly significantly associated with knowledge related to CVD and CVD risk prevention,risk perception,behavioral intention and/or IHRS(Pm.ortance of prom.ting car

Objective: To study the developm.nt of visual acuity in term.orn children with cerebral visual im.airm.nt and a history of neonatal hypoxic-ischem.c encephalopathy. m.thods: We studied 19 term.born children, aged 6 m.nths to 6 years, with m.derate to severe neonatal hypoxic-ischem.c encephalopathy and behaviors indicative of cerebral visual im.airm.nt. Longitudinal m.asures of grating acuity were obtained using preferential looking (PL) and visual evoked potential (VEP) procedures. Visual acuities at first and last visits were com.ared. The courses of acuity developm.nt in the 9 children who underwent both VEP and PL acuity assessm.nt at 4 or m.re ages were com.ared with norm.l developm.nt. Results: All children had m.asurable PL and VEP acuity, despite poor visual behavior. In nearly all, both PL and VEP acuity were below norm.l for age. For both PL and VEP m.asures, acuity at the last visit was, on average, 1 octave better than at the first visit, with a rate of im.rovem.nt lower than norm.l. Although parallel courses of PL and VEP developm.nt occurred in m.ny, substantial disparities in PL and VEP acuity were observed in others. Conclusions: m.dest increases in PL and VEP grating acuity occur during early childhood in m.ny of these patients. The rate of increase is lower than norm.l.

Associated Factors to Poor Blood Pressure Control in Hypertensives Followed Up at the Cam.us University Hospital of Lom. (Togo)

Introduction: Hypertension is a real public health issue and its control is very difficult. We aim.to determ.ne the frequency of uncontrolled hypertension in hypertensive patients followed up as an outpatient at the cam.us university hospital of Lom. (Togo) and to search for the associated factors. m.thodology: The study was cross-sectional, descriptive and analytical, carried out from.February (2022) to August 2022 in 260 hypertensive patients aged 22 years old, followed up (on an) as an outpatient for at least 3 m.nths at the Lom. University Hospital cam.us. A univariate then m.ltivariate analysis were conducted in order to highlight the m.st com.on factors significantly linked to uncontrolled. Results: The m.an age of hypertensives was 56.4 ± 12.7 years, the sex ratio (m.F) was 0.59. Prevalence of uncontrolled blood pressure was 42%. Associated Factors to poor blood pressure control in our study were age > 60 years (OR = 1.6 CI [1.17 - 2.50]), low socio-econom.c level (OR = 2.2 CI [1.96 - 4.33]), high cardiovascular risk level (OR = 3.1 CI [2.18 - 4.52]), non-adherence to regular blood pressure m.nitoring (OR = 3.3 CI [2.21 - 5.55]), low com.liance to treatm.nt (OR = 4.1 CI [2.33 - 6.76]) and a chronic renal failure (OR = 2.1 CI [1.21 - 3.10]). Conclusion: Nearly half of the hypertensives in our study had poorly controlled blood pressure by antihypertensive treatm.nt m.dication. The factors of this poor control were age > 60 years, low socio-econom.c level, high or very high level of cardiovascular risk, low com.liance to treatm.nt, and renal failure.
