Objective:To investigate the interrelationship between cardiovascular health awareness,risk perception,behavioural intention,and INTERHEART risk stratification in a middle-aged adult population in ***:A cross-sectional survey with convenience sampling was conducted during November 2022 and January *** completed validated questionnaires assessing cardiovascular health awareness,risk perception of cardiovascular diseases,behavioural intention towards adopting healthy habits,and INTERHEART risk stratification score(IHRS)based on established risk factors.A total of 602 respondents were included in the final *** were analysed with independent t-test/one-way ANOVA or Mann-Whitney/Kruskal-Wallis to test the differences,Pearson correlation or linear regression test to analyze the association of independent and dependent ***:There was a significant positive correlation between medical knowledge related to cardiovascular disease(CVD)and knowledge related to CVD risk prevention,risk perception,behavioural intention and IHRS(P<0.05,Pearson correlation).Notably,individuals with higher IHRS tended to have lower knowledge related to CVD and CVD risk prevention,risk perception,and behavioural ***,laborers,active/former smokers,individuals with lower household income and educational levels,those involved in occupations not related to the healthcare sector,and those who did not receive the CVD health brochure or are unaware of health self-assessment tools are likely to have lower levels of knowledge,risk perception,and poorer behavioural intention regarding cardiovascular health(P<0.05,one-way ANOVA).While educational level,smoking status,awareness about CVD poster,self-assessment tools were repeatedly significantly associated with knowledge related to CVD and CVD risk prevention,risk perception,behavioral intention and/or IHRS(P<0.05,linear regression).Conclusions:These findings underscore the importance of promoting car

Introduction:The transmission dynamics of the recent mpox outbreak highlights the lack of infrastructure available to rapidly respond to novel STI outbreaks,of which Asia and Oceania remains particularly ***,we simulate outbreaks in this setting and propose the use of pre-emptive vaccination within the men who have sex with men(MSM)community before the arrival and establishment of the *** and methods Using data driven heterogeneous sexual contact networks,we simulated outbreaks of mpox in Singapore,Hong kong,and *** individual based SEIR compartmental model was used to simulate epidemic trajectories and the impact of different vaccination uptakes was assessed in their ability to avert or suppress outbreaks upon the arrival of mpox within the MSM ***:The highly dense sexual networks of Singapore and Sydney experience rapid outbreaks,with infection peaks occurring at day 41 and 23 respectively,compared to Hong kong which occurs at day *** the simulations with no vaccination,68.2%–89.7%of the MSM community will become infected with mpox across the different cities,over a simulation period of 1 *** implementing vaccination strategies,the infection rate across the cities can be reduced to as low as 3.1%of the population(range:3.1%–82.2%)depending on the implementation and uptake of the *** is also extremely effective in slowing the start of the epidemic,delaying the epidemic peak by 36–50 days in Hong kong,or even preventing the outbreak of ***:With extremely dense and well-connected sexual contact networks,where 65.2%–83.2%of the population are connected to a super-spreader in the different contact networks,pre-emptive or immediate vaccination upon identification of the first case is strongly recommended to help better manage the outbreak of mpox and prevent potential straining of healthcare systems.

The commercial viability of thermoelectric(TE)devices relies heavily on two factors:cost reduction and efficiency *** this study,we first produce p-type Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(16-x)(x=0,3,4)using a low-temperature bottom-up approach and demonstrate Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)to show the best TE performance among the three tested ***,the TE energy conversion efficiency of Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)is further enhanced by optimizing its electronic band structure through the incorporation of small amounts of *** an optimal Te content of 5 mol%,more than a twofold increase in the TE figure of merit(zT)is *** gain insight into the mechanism of improvement on the transport properties of the mate-rial,we compare the interphase transport mechanism by incorporating nanodomains of different metals(Ag and Cu)into the Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)*** improved electrical conductivity obtained with Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)-Te nanocomposites is attributed to a charge flooding of the Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)*** contrast,excessive down-ward band-bending at the interphases of Ag/Cu metal-semiconductor drastically reduces the electrical ***,a weighted mobility(μw)analysis shows a dominant thermal activation of carri-ers in Cu_(12)Sb_(4)S_(13)-Te *** this material,a strong decrease in lattice thermal conductivity is also found,which is associated with a phonon-carrier scattering *** work shows the impor-tance of proper band-engineering in TE nanocomposites to decouple electrical and thermal transport to enhance TE performance,and the efficacy ofμw for electrical and thermal transport analysis.

Gas emissions from swine farms have an impact on air quality in the Republic of *** manure stored in deep pits for a long time is a major source of harmful gas ***,we evaluated the mitigation of emissions of ammonia(N H 3),hydrogen sulfide(H2S)and amine gases from swine manure with biological products such as seaweed(Sargassum homeri)and a microbial consortium(Bacillus subtilis(1.2×10^9 CFU/mL),Thiobacillus sp.(1.0×10^10 CFU/mL)and Saccharomyces cerevisiae(2.0×10^9 CFU/mL))used as additives due to their promising benefits for nutrient ***,seaweed powder masking over two days provided notable control of over 98%-100%of the gas ***,significant control of gas emissions was especially pronounced when seaweed powder masking along with a microbial consortium was applied,resulting in a gas reduction rate of 100%for NH 3,amines and H2S over 10 days of *** results also suggested that seaweed powder masking and a microbial consortium used in combination to reduce the gas emissions from swine manure reduced odour compared with that observed when the two additives were used *** the consortium,seaweed decreased total volatile fatty acid(VFA)*** proposed novel method of masking with a microbial consortium is promising for mitigating hazardous gases,simple,and environmentally *** research is warranted to determine the mechanisms underlying the seaweed and substrate interactions.

The escalating climate crisis necessitates an urgent shift towards a sustainable business ***-der the context of bioeconomy,it has offered a promising alternative through its“Biomass-to-X”strategy for converting biological resources into value-added products or ***,the adoption of this approach remains scarce,which highlights the need to leverage digital technolo-gies to enhance its ***,this paper provides a comprehensive overview of the potential role of digital technologies in the Biomass-to-X supply chain,encompassing the entire value chain from upstream to downstream activities,specifically in the areas of 1)lab-to-fabrication transla-tion,2)biomanufacturing stage,and lastly,3)supply chain management ***,this study identifies and discusses research gaps in each niche area,along with potential future re-search prospects to facilitate the transition towards a sustainable bioeconomy,making it a crucial reference for stakeholders involved in decision-making processes.

变长分段直线感应电机参数具有不连续、快速时变及强耦合特性,这给电磁暂态建模带来挑战。该文引入3种时变因子推导出具有参数时变特性的变长分段直线感应电机数学表达式。通过分析变长分段直线感应电机定子与动子的电磁耦合特性及时变因子与状态变量之间的耦合关系,建立定子、动子及时变因子相互解耦的数学模型。仿真结果表明,该数学模型计算的电压、电流和速度与有限元计算结果差别小于6%,验证了数学模型的准确性。硬件在环实验结果表明,在高速工况下数学模型可以准确模拟系统的电磁暂态特性,验证了数学模型的解耦能力及数值运算稳定性。

A topologically mediated synthesis of porous boron nitride aerogel has been experimentally and theoretically investigated for carbon dioxide (CO2) uptake. Replacement of the carbon atoms in a precursor aerogel of graphene oxide and carbon nanotubes was achieved using an elemental substitution reaction, to obtain a boron and nitrogen framework. The newly prepared BN aerogel possessed a specific surface area of 716.56 m2/g and exhibited an unprecedented twentyfold increase in CO2 uptake over N2, adsorbing 100 cc/g at 273 K and 80 cc/g in ambient conditions, as verified by adsorption isotherms via the multipoint Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method. Density functional theory calculations were performed to give hints on the mechanism of such high selectivity of CO2 over N2 adsorption in BN aerogel, which may be due to the interaction between the intrinsic polar nature of B–N bonds and the high quadrupole moment of CO2 over N2.

Microwave simulation is significant in identifying a reactor design allowing the biomass to be heated and processed *** study integrated the radio frequency and transient heat transfer modules to simulate the microwave distribution and investigated the performance of microwave heating in the *** simulation results were compared with the experimental findings us-ing the finite element analysis software of COMSOL MULTIPHYSICS to predict the temperature profile and electric field of microwave in the biomass(empty fruit bunch pellets).The higher temperature distribution was observed at the bottom and centre section of the empty fruit bunch pellet bed in the reactor,showing the uniqueness of microwave *** to the simula-tion results,the temperature profile obtained through the specific cavity geometry and dielectric properties agreed with the experimental temperature *** simulated temperature profile demonstrated a logarithmic increase of 120°C/min at the first 50 s followed by 50°C/min until 350 *** experimental temperature profile showed three different heating rates before reaching 300°C,including 78.3°C/min(50-120°C),30.6°C/min(121-250°C),and 105°C/min(250-300°C).The results of this study might contribute to the improvement of microwave heating in biomass torrefaction.
