BACKGROUND The burden of mental disorders(MD)in the Western Pacific Region(WPR)re-mains a critical public health concern,with substantial variations across demogra-phics and *** To analyze the burden of MD in the WPR from 1990 to 2021,along with associated risk factors,to reveal changing trends and emerging *** We used data from the Global Burden of Disease 2021,analyzing prevalence,incidence,and disability-adjusted life years(DALYs)of MD from 1990 to *** methods included age-standardisation and uncertainty analysis to address variations in population structure and data *** Between 1990 and 2021,the prevalence of MD rose from 174.40 million cases[95%uncertainty interval(UI):160.17-189.84]to 234.90 million cases(95%UI:219.04-252.50),with corresponding DALYs increasing from 22.8 million(95%UI:17.22-28.79)to 32.07 million(95%UI:24.50-40.68).During this period,the burden of MD shifted towards older age *** and anxiety disorders were predominant,with females showing higher DALYs for depressive and anxiety disorders,and males more affected by conduct disorders,attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder,and autism spectrum ***,New Zealand,and Malaysia reported the highest burdens,whereas Vietnam,China,and Brunei Darussalam reported the ***,childhood sexual abuse and bullying,and intimate partner violence emerged as significant risk *** This study highlights the significant burden of MD in the WPR,with variations by age,gender,and *** coronavirus disease 2019 pandemic has exacerbated the situation,emphasizing the need for a coordinated response.

Study of Pre-equilibrium Fission Based on Diffusion Model

In terms of numerical method of Smoluchowski equation the behavior of fission process in diffusion model has been described and analyzed, including the reliance upon time, as well as the deformation parameters at several nuclear temperatures in this paper. The fission rates and the residual probabilities inside the saddle point are calculated for fissile nucleus n＋^238U reaction and un-fissile nucleus p＋^208Pb reaction. The results indicate that there really exists a transient fission process, which means that the pre-equillbrium fission should be taken into account for the fissile nucleus at the high temperature. Oppositely, the pre-equilibrlum fission could be neglected for the un-fissile nucleus. In the certain case the overshooting phenomenon of the fission rates will occur, which is mainly determined by the diffusive current at the saddle point. The higher the temperature is, the more obvious the overshooting phenomenon is. However, the emissions of the light particles accompanying the diffusion process may weaken or vanish the overshooting phenomenon.

The interaction potentials between electron and atom play an important role in electron- atom scattering. Using three potential models, the absolute differential cross section has been calculated by the second Born approximation theory. Results show that these model potentials are successful in the laser-assisted e-Ar scattering system. The influence of static potential, exchange potential and polarization potential on the absolute differential cross section is also analyzed and discussed.

Given the actual working of a fully mechanized plough at a mining face, we have proposed a formula for running constraints between powered supports and a coal plough under assumed geological conditions of the coal face and, on this basis, established an automatic control model of powered supports for the coal plough face. We introduced the working principle of the powered support control system of the plough at the mining face. We established three advanced characteristics of this control system： response speed, reliability and easy maintenance of the system. As well, we briefly introduced, the principal function of primary and subordinate controllers and the realization of the communication system by a Single Bus. Ten controllers were constructed and tested in our laboratorium. The results show that the control model is practical and meets actual conditions. It provides a theoretical basis for designing a comouter control system for a oowered support system of a plough at a mining face.

A continuous air and precipitation sampling for carbonaceous particles was conducted in a field observatory beside Nam Co, Central Tibetan Plateau during July of 2006 through January of 2007. Organic carbon （OC） was the dominant composition of the carbonaceous particles both in the atmosphere （1660 ng/m ^3 ） and precipitation （476 ng/g） in this area, while the average elemental carbon （BC） concentrations in the atmosphere and precipitation were only 82 ng/m 3 and 8 ng/g, respectively. Very high OC/BC ratio suggested local secondary organic carbon could be a dominant contribution to OC over the Nam Co region, while BC could be mainly originated from Southern Asia, as indicated by trajectory analysis and aerosol optical depth. Comparison between the BC concentrations measured in Lhasa, those at ＂Nepal Climate Observatory at Pyramid （NCO-P）＂ site on the southern slope of the Himalayas, and Nam Co suggested BC in the Nam Co region reflected a background with weak anthropogenic disturbances and the emissions from Lhasa might have little impact on the atmospheric environment here, while the pollutants from the Indo-Gangetic Basin of Southern Asia could be transported to the Nam Co region by both the summer monsoon and the westerly.

Based on the stick-slip process,an effective method to extract the stress-strain curve directly from the crosshead displacement-load raw data in compression of bulk metallic glasses was *** method was tested in two bulk metallic glass samples with different plasticities and shear band *** extracted stress-strain curves were found to well resemble the stress-strain curve measured by a laser *** addition,the extracted curve could resolve fine structures of serrated flow much better than that measured by extensometer,thus facilitating the study of shear banding *** obtained by this method made the stick-slip dynamics of shear banding valid,and this method could be employed to obtain the real strain of small-sized metallic glass samples where extensometer cannot be applied.

Black carbon （BC） concentration and meteorological data are measured discontinuously from May 2009 to March 2011,at the Qilian Shan Station of Glaciology and Ecologic Environment （hereafter ＂QSSGEE＂）,located near the terminal of the Laohugou No.12 Glacier in northwestern Qilian Shan,*** measured the daily,monthly and seasonal variations of BC concentration in the atmosphere and discussed the possible emission *** carbon background concentration in this region varied in the range of 18–72 ng/m 3 with the highest in summer and the lowest in *** relations between BC concentration and surface wind direction indicated that BC concentration was higher when northwest wind prevails while lower when southeast wind *** masses backward trajectories showed the potential emission sources in the *** positive correlations between daily mean BC concentration and relative humidity indicated that BC might be one of important cloud condensation *** hypothesis needs to be confirmed further through cloud microphysical features in this region.
