In this work,we study a predator-prey model of Gause type,in which the prey growth rate is subject to an Allee effect and the action of the predator over the prey is determined by a generalized hyperbolic-type functional response,which is neither differentiable nor locally Lipschitz at the predator *** kind of functional response is an extension of the so-called square root functional response,used to model systems in which the prey have a strong herd *** study the behavior of the solutions in the first quadrant and the existence of limit *** prove that,for a wide choice of parameters,the solutions arrive at the predator axis in finite *** also characterize the existence of an equilibrium point and,when it exists,we provide necessary and sufficient conditions for it to be a center-type *** fact,we show that the set of parameters that yield a center-type equilibrium,is the graph of a function with an open *** also prove that any center-type equilibrium is stable and it always possesses a supercritical Hopf *** particular,we guarantee the existence of a unique limit cycle,for small perturbations of the system.

BACKGROUNd Melanocortin 3 and 5 receptors(i.e.,MC3R and MC5R)belong to the melanocortin ***,data regarding their role in inflammatory bowel diseases(IBd)are currently *** This study aims to ascertain their expression profiles in the colonic mucosa of Crohn’s disease(Cd)and ulcerative colitis(UC),aligning them with IBd disease endoscopic and histologic *** Colonic mucosal biopsies from Cd/UC patients were sampled,and immunohisto-chemical analyses were conducted to evaluate the expression of MC3R and *** sampling was performed on both traits with endoscopic scores(Mayo endoscopic score and Cd endoscopic index of severity)consistent with inflamed mucosa and not consistent with disease activity(i.e.,normal appearing mucosa).RESULTS In both Cd and UC inflamed mucosa,MC3R(Cd:+7.7 fold vs normal mucosa,Pd vs normal mucosa,Pd MC5R(Cd:+5.5 fold vs normal mucosa,Pd vs normal mucosa,Pd compared to normal *** MC3R and MC5R are expressed in the colon of IBd ***,expression may differ according to disease endoscopic activity,with a higher degree of expression in the traits affected by disease activity in both Cd and UC,suggesting a potential use of these receptors in IBd pharmacology.

New fractional operators, the COVId-19 model has been studied in this paper. By using different numericaltechniques and the time fractional parameters, the mechanical characteristics of the fractional order model areidentified. The uniqueness and existence have been established. Themodel’sUlam-Hyers stability analysis has beenfound. In order to justify the theoretical results, numerical simulations are carried out for the presented methodin the range of fractional order to show the implications of fractional and fractal *** applied very effectivenumerical techniques to obtain the solutions of themodel and simulations. Also, we present conditions of existencefor a solution to the proposed epidemicmodel and to calculate the reproduction number in certain state conditionsof the analyzed dynamic system. COVId-19 fractional order model for the case of Wuhan, China, is offered foranalysis with simulations in order to determine the possible efficacy of Coronavirus disease transmission in theCommunity. For this reason, we employed the COVId-19 fractal fractional derivative model in the example ofWuhan, China, with the given beginning conditions. In conclusion, again the mathematical models with fractionaloperators can facilitate the improvement of decision-making for measures to be taken in the management of anepidemic situation.

Surface InP quantum dots grown by gas source molecular beam epitaxy on In0.48Ga0.52P buffer layer lattice matched to GaAs substrate shows a broad-band near-infrared photoluminescence ranging from 750 to 865 nm dependent on their dimensions. A reversible luminescence intensity enhancement has been observed when the quantum dots were exposed to vapours of different chemical solvents with the highest sensitivity for alcohol (methanol and ethanol) vapours. The luminescent behaviour is dependent on the solvent type and concentration. The peak energy and band shape of the luminescence are not affected by the solvent vapour.

Recent methodological advances in quantitative wood anatomy have provided new insights into the climatic responses of radial growth at the scale of cell structure of tree rings. This study considered long-term chronologies of tracheid measurements, indexed by a novel approach to separate their specific climatic responses from signal recorded in cell production(closely reflected in tree-ring width). To fill gaps in understanding the impact of climate on conifer xylem structure, Scots pine(Pinus sylvestris L.)trees > 200 years old were selected within the forest-steppe zone in southern Siberia. Such habitats undergo mild moisture deficits and the resulting climatic regulation of growth processes. Mean and maximum values of cell radial diameter and cell wall thickness were recorded for each tree *** a low level of climatogenic stress, components of cell chronologies independent of cambial activity were separated to obtain significant climatic signals revealing the timing of the specific stages of tracheid differentiation. Cell expansion lasted from mid-April to July and was impacted similarly to tree-ring width(stimulated by precipitation and stressed by heat), maximum cell size formed late June. A switch in the climatic responses of mean anatomical traits indicated transition to latewood in mid-July. Secondary wall deposition lasted until mid-September, suppressed by end of season temperatures. Generally, anatomical climatic responses were modulated by a less dry May and September compared with summer months.

Harmful algal blooms are important threats to reservoir *** a 15-year period,we sampled five Argentinian reservoirs to identify the responsible species for harmful algal blooms and determine the water quality factors driving their *** reservoirs exhibit diverse morphological and hydrological characteristics and are distributed across varying climatic *** blooms included an array of species,including toxin producers such as Raphidiopsis raciborskii,Aphanizomenon gracile,and Microcystis *** contrast,dinoflagellate blooms were predominantly characterized by *** cyanobacterial blooms primarily occurred in the shallower reservoirs located in warmer regions,whereas dinoflagellate blooms occurred where temperatures were *** most intense blooms occurred during the summer,and although cyanobacterial and chlorophyte blooms co-occurred,they never coexisted with dinoflagellate *** identified cyanotoxins in the reservoirs over the past three years,a phenomenon previously unreported in the *** that these reservoirs are drinking water sources for human populations,ongoing and systematic monitoring is needed to protect public *** the proliferation of algae and cyanobacteria in reservoirs requires resource management at the watershed level,and in the case of the Itiyuro and El Limon,requires binational management with Bolivia.

This article presents an analysis of the patterns of interactions resulting from the positive and negative emotional events that occur in cities,considering them as complex *** explores,from the imaginaries,how certain urban objects can act as emotional agents and how these events affect the urban system as a *** adaptive complex systems perspective is used to analyze these *** results show patterns in the processes and dynamics that occur in cities based on the objects that affect the emotions of the people who live *** patterns depend on the characteristics of the emotional charge of urban objects,but they can be generalized in the following process:(1)immediate reaction by some individuals;(2)emotions are generated at the individual level which begins to generalize,permuting to a collective emotion;(3)a process of reflection is detonated in some individuals from the reading of collective emotions;(4)integration/significance in the community both at the individual and collective level,on the concepts,roles and/or functions that give rise to the process in the ***,it is clear that emotions play a significant role in the development of cities and these aspects should be considered in the design strategies of all kinds of projects for the *** extensions of this work could include a deeper analysis of specific emotional events in urban environments,as well as possible implications for urban policy and decision making.

1. Introduction The tegmental wall of the tympanic cavity is a thin plate of the temporal bone that separates the middle cranial fossa(MCF) from the ear. This anatomical region consists of two areas: an anterior one, comprised of the tegmen tympani(To′th et al., 2007), and a posterior one, formed by the tegmen antri and the tegmen mastoideum(Makki et al., 2011). In some patients, the tegmental region of the temporal bone can be interrupted, causing a tegmen defect(Td). A Td is sometimes associated with a meningoencephalic herniation(MEH), in which brain tissue herniates through a Td.
