Risk management research in East Asia: a bibliometric analysis

Purpose–The aim of this paper is to present a comprehensive analysis of risk management in East Asia from 1998 to 2021 by using bibliometric methods and tools to explore research trends,hotspots,and directions for future research.Design/methodology/approach–The data source for this paper is the Web of Science Core Collection,and 7,154 publications and related information have been derived.We use recognized bibliometric indicators to evaluate publications and visually analyze them through scientific mapping tools(VOS Viewer and CiteSpace).Findings–The analysis results show that China is the most productive and influential country/region.East Asia countries have strong cooperation with each other and also have cooperation with other countries.The study shows that risk management has been involved in various fields such as credit,supply chain,health emergency and disaster especially in the background of COVID-19.We also found that machine learning,especially deep learning,has been playing an increasingly important role in risk management due to its excellent performance.Originality/value–This paper focuses on studying risk management in East Asia,exploring its publication’s fundamental information,citation and cooperation networks,hotspots,and research trends.It provides some reference value for scholars who are interested or further research in this field.

There are few studies on the mechanism of redox status imbalance and intestinal dysfunction in intrauterine growth restricted(IUGR)newborn piglets.Here,we investigated the mechanism of jejunum dysfunction in weaned piglets with IUGR and the mechanism through which dimethylglycine sodium salt(DMG-Na)supplementation improving the imbalance of their redox status.In this work,a total of 10 normal birth weight(NBW)newborn piglets and 20 IUGR newborn piglets were obtained.After weaning at 21 d,they were assigned to 3 groups(n=10/group):NBW weaned piglets fed standard basal diets(NBWC);one IUGR weaned piglets fed standard basal diets(IUGRC);another IUGR weaned piglets from the same litter fed standard basal diets plus 0.1%DMG-Na(IUGRD).The piglets in these 3 groups were sacrificed at 49 d of age,and the blood and jejunum samples were collected immediately.The growth performance values in the IUGRC group were lower(P<0.05)than those in the NBWC group.Jejunum histomorphological parameters,inflammatory cytokines,and digestive enzyme activity as well as serum immunoglobulin were lower(P<0.05)in the IUGRC group than those in the NBWC group.Compared with these in the NBWC group,the redox status of serum,jejunum,and mitochondria and the expression levels of jejunum redox status-related,cell adhesion-related,and mitochondrial function-related genes and proteins were suppressed in the IUGRC group(P<0.05).However,compared with those in the IUGRC group,the growth performance values,jejunum histomorphological parameters,inflammatory cytokines,digestive enzyme activity,serum immunoglobulin,redox status of serum,jejunum,and mitochondria,and the expression levels of jejunum redox status-related,cell adhesion-related,and mitochondrial function-related genes and proteins were improved(P<0.05)in the IUGRD group.In conclusion,dietary DMG-Na supplementation alleviates redox status imbalance and intestinal dysfunction in IUGR weaned piglets mainly by activating the sirtuin 1(SIRT1)/peroxisome proliferatoractivated receptorgcoactivator-1a(PG

To reduce the communication among processors and improve the computing time for solving linear complementarity problems, we present a two-step modulus-based syn- chronous multisplitting iteration method and the corresponding symmetric modulus-based multisplitting relaxation methods. The convergence theorems are established when the system matrix is an H＋-matrix, which improve the existing convergence theory. Numeri- cal results show that the symmetric modulus-based multisplitting relaxation methods are effective in actual implementation.

High activity and stability in Ni_(2)P/(Co,Ni)OOH heterointerface with a multiple-hierarchy structure for alkaline hydrogen evolution reaction

The fabrication of heterointerface materials with hierarchical morphologies more than two levels is a challenging yet promising approach to achieve optimal electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER).Here,using a facile two-step method,we are able to prepare the Ni_(2)P/(Co,Ni)OOH heterointerface with a three-level hierarchy morphology.The multiple levels of hierarchy structures not only offer considerable area for active sites loading,but also facilitate the substance transportation,both beneficial for HER.Meanwhile,the strong charge transfer at the Ni_(2)P/(Co,Ni)OOH heterointerface eliminates the spin asymmetry and achieves the thermos-neutral adsorption of active H species.Moreover,the resulted Coulomb attraction stacks the two materials firmly,facilitating the stability.Density functional theory(DFT)and in-situ Raman measurements reveal the sufficient Ni atoms acting as the active sites.With these merits,the Ni_(2)P/(Co,Ni)OOH exhibits much better HER activity than the separate Ni_(2)P or(Co,Ni)OOH,affording a current density of 100 mA/cm^(2)at an overpotential of 169 mV and a Tafel slope of 41 mV/dec,when tested in alkaline electrolyte.This work provides inspiration for optimizing the intrinsic HER activity utilizing multiple-level hierarchy structures.

Plasmon-mediated photodecomposition of NH3 via intramolecular charge transfer

As an excellent clean medium for hydrogen storage and fuel cell applications,the photolysis of ammonia via localized surface plasmon could be invoked as a promising route towards significantly reducing the temperature for conventional thermolysis.Here,we explore the underlying microscopic mechanism of ultrafast carrier dynamics in plasmon-mediated NH3 photodecomposition at the single-molecular level using real-time time-dependent density functional theory.The NH_(3)molecule adsorbed on the tip of archetypal magic metal clusters represented by tetrahedral Ag_(2)0 and icosahedral Ag147,splits within a hundred femtoseconds upon laser pulse illumination.We found that the splitting of the first N-H bond is dominated by the intramolecular charge transfer driven by localized surface plasmon.Surprisingly,the phase of laser pulse could modulate the dynamics of charge transfer and thus affect the plasmon-induced bond breaking.These findings offer a new avenue for NH3 decomposition and provide in-depth insights in designing highly efficient plasmon-mediated photocatalysts.

A Semiotic Reading of Nicholas Jose's Avenue of Eternal Peace

Nicholas Jose has been advocating "transcultural writing" for more than three decades, with Avenue of Eternal Peace(1989) as an early part of his practice. In 1990, Avenue was short-listed for the Miles Franklin Prize but failed to win this Australian national award. Judged by Chinese semiotician Zhao Yiheng's reception model of narratives, this is a "message blocked" case. Using the framework of Roman Jakobson's communication model, this paper reinterprets the six constitutive factors and functions to investigate the elements that blocked the message. My main argument is that "contact", "context", and "code" jointly blocked the communication; the three Cs reflect three long-standing problems in Australian literature: the issue of cultural identity, the dark side of White Australian Dream, and the Orientalist representation of "the other" culture. The failure in literary communication analyzed also suggests that Wally's perception of China follows a Saussurean dichotomy which presupposes a closed linguistic system and excludes the role of the subject and the extra-semiotic object in signification. The Peircean trichotomy better captures the process of concept formation and is a better approach to transcultural writing in the contemporary postmodern situation. Transcultural writing challenges its readers; we need to transcend our confined nationality and persistent prejudice, and develop adequate "transnational literacy" to appreciate this new form of cultural production.

A 2D numerical study on the condensation characteristics of three non-azeotropic binary hydrocarbon vapor mixtures on a vertical plate

To improve the transportation efficiency and reduce the supply cost,the liquefaction becomes an important technology to store and transport the natural gas.During the liquefaction,the various components(e.***.propane,ethane,methane etc.)undergo fractional condensation phenomenon due to their different boiling points.This means that when one component condenses,others play a role of non-condensable gas(NCG).In order to reveal the influence mechanism of NCG on this condensation process,a numerical method was employed in this paper to study the condensation characteristics of three non-azeotropic binary hydrocarbon vapor mixtures,namely the propane/methane(80%–95%),ethane/methane(65%–85%)and methane/nitrogen(2%–13%)mixtures,on a vertical plate.The model was proposed based on the diffusion layer model,and the finite volume method was used to solve the governing equations.A user defined function was developed by cell iterative method to obtain the source terms in the condensation process.The numerical results show that the gas phase boundary layer formed by the NCG becomes the main resistance to the reduction of heat transfer coefficient.And for the above three mixtures,there is a negative correlation between the NCG concentration and the heat transfer coefficient.Meanwhile,the results show a good agreement with the experimental data,meaning that the proposed model is reliable.Three mixtures within same non-condensable mole fraction of 20%were also investigated,indicating that the mixtures with a higher binary hydrocarbon molecular ratio have a lower heat transfer coefficient.As a result,the presence of the lighter NCG contributes to a thicker boundary layer.

During effector-triggered immunity(ETI)against the devastating rice blast pathogen Magnaporthe oryzae,Pi9 functions as an intracellular resistance protein sensing the pathogen-secreted effector AvrPi9 in rice.Importantly,the underlying recognition mechanism(s)between Pi9 and AvrPi9 remains elusive.In this study,We identified a rice ubiquitin-like domain-containing protein(UDP),AVRPI9-INTERACTING PROTEIN 1(ANP1),which is directly targeted by AvrPi9 and also binds to Pi9 in plants.Phenotypic analysis of anip1 mu-tants and plants overexpressing ANIP1 revealed that ANIP1 negatively modulates rice basal defense against M.oryzae.ANiP1 undergoes 26S proteasome-mediated degradation,which can be blocked by both AvrPi9 and Pi9.Moreover,ANIP1 physically associates with the rice WRKY transcription factor OsWRKY62,which also interacts with AvrPi9 and Pi9 in plants.In the absence of Pi9,ANIP1 negatively regulates OsWRKY62 abundance,which can be promoted by AvrPi9.Accordingly,knocking out of OsWRKY62 in a non-Pi9 back-ground decreased immunity against M.oryzae.However,we also observed that OsWRKY62 plays negative roles in defense against a compatible M.oryzae strain in Pi9-harboring rice.Pi9 binds to ANiP1 and OsWRKY62 to form a complex,which may help to keep Pi9 in an inactive state and weaken rice immunity.Furthermore,using competitive binding assays,we showed that AvrPi9 promotes Pi9 dissociation from ANiP1,which could be an important step toward ETI activation.Taken together,our results reveal an immune strategy whereby a UDP-WRKY module,targeted by a fungal effector,modulates rice immunity in distinct ways in the presence or absence of the corresponding resistance protein.

Functionalized nanoparticles are widely used in drug targeted delivery and immune microenvironment regulation.As a new type of biomaterial,cell-derived carriers are receiving considerable attention in clinical translation owing to their desirable biocompatibility and lower toxicity.Importantly,cell membrane-encapsulated nanoparticles can achieve specific biological effects from the benefit of their parent cell characteristics.In this review,we introduce the cell membrane coating technologies that are under extensive investigation,we also summarize various applications that have been developed for immunotherapy,and discuss the prospects in this field.With further understanding and integration with advanced biotechnology methods,it is believed that the continuing development of cell membrane-encapsulated nanoparticles will achieve promotion in clinical application.
