There are many problems,such as poverty,unemployment,poor infrastructure and how to improve the ecological environment,in the shantytowns of old industrial *** are the most centralized areas with different contradictions,referred to as the‘problem areas’of urban sustainable *** shantytown transformation of old industrial cities is a typical process of unit community disintegration,which is reflected not only in the reconstruction of physical space but also in the community renewal of social spatial integration and culture *** on qualitative research,questionnaires and in-depth interviews,taking Tiexi Worker Village in Shenyang as a research case,this paper attempts to analyse the characteristics and driving forces of the community renewal of shantytown transformation in old industrial *** found that the physical space of Tiexi Worker Village has changed considerably,which is embodied in its land use structure,living environment and community service facilities,reflecting the development of community function from simple industrial function to comprehensive *** residents in this community have experienced a transformation from a period of homogeneity to one of *** social network of the community has been *** stratification,social differentiation and higher fluidity have *** renewal is mainly affected by macro factors such as policy regulation,economic driving,condition constraints,and micro factors such as residents’choice of living space and willingness to renew their *** transformation policy of the old industrial zone and the development policy of the new urban area are the fundamental and deep-seated reasons for the renewal of Tiexi Worker Village,which determine the direction of the renewal and development of the *** paid use of land and the development of the real estate industry are the direct stimulating factors for the renewal of Tiexi

The quality control(QC) of ocean observational data, essential to establish a high-quality global ocean database, is one of the basic data pre-processing steps in oceanography research, marine monitoring, and forecasting. With the introduction of various advanced instruments in recent decades, oceanographic surveys have expanded from coastal regions to open ***, as ocean in-situ observations are obtained using different instruments that offer heterogeneous data qualities, it is paramount that bad data could be accurately and efficiently identified via QC to provide a reliable global ocean database. In this review, we briefly summarize the latest progress of QC for oceanic in-situ observations, and mainly focus on temperature and salinity data. The similarities and differences between QC schemes developed by various ocean organizations are introduced. We also discuss the performances of the various QC schemes and identify the key challenges. Based on the discussions, several recommendations are proposed for future improvements in the QC for ocean observations.

Pomegranate(Punica granatum L.)trees are woody perennials that bear colorful and nutritious fruits rich in phenolic metabolites,e.g.,hydrolyzable tannins(HTs)and *** here report genome editing and gene discovery in pomegranate hairy roots using Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats(CRISPR)/CRISPR-associated protein 9(Cas9)(CRISPR/Cas9),coupled with transcriptome and biochemical *** guide RNAs(sgRNAs)were designed to target two UDP-dependent glycosyltransferases(UGTs),PgUGT84A23 and PgUGT84A24,which possess overlapping activities inβ-glucogallin(a galloylglucose ester;biosynthetic precursor of HTs)biosynthesis.A unique accumulation of gallic acid 3-O-and 4-O-glucosides(galloylglucose ethers)was observed in the PgUGT84A23 and PgUGT84A24 dual CRISPR/Cas9-edited lines(i.e.,ugt84a23 ugt84a24)but not the control(empty vector)or PgUGT84A23/PgUGT84A24 single edited lines(ugt84a23 or ugt84a24).Transcriptome and real-time qPCR analyses identified 11 UGTs with increased expression in the ugt84a23 ugt84a24 hairy roots compared to the *** the 11 candidate UGTs,only PgUGT72BD1 used gallic acid as substrate and produced a regiospecific product gallic acid *** work demonstrates that the CRISPR/Cas9 method can facilitate functional genomics studies in pomegranate and shows promise for capitalizing on the metabolic potential of pomegranate for germplasm improvement.

Accurate assessment of hot-spot temperature is essential for the safe operation of power *** dynamic thermal models cannot estimate hot-spot temperature accurately since some input parameters are roughly determined by transformer capacity and cooling mode while ignoring the effect of winding structure,tank dimensions,and material physical *** improve the accuracy of temperature assessment,empirical parameters of the IEC thermal model including thermal constants,winding and oil exponents are optimised with the help of numerical simulation in this *** on energy conservation and heat transfer theory,a computational fluid dynamic(CFD)model of a transformer in oil natural air natural(ONAN)cooling mode is *** CFD model simulates the entity's structure,sizes,and multi-stage heat dissipation processes realistically,so it can more precisely calculate the dynamic hot-spot *** to the simulated temperature curves at different operating conditions,the thermal constants and oil exponent are estimated using non-linear regression,and the winding exponent is optimised using linear regression.A case study is conducted on an ONAN *** shows the improved IEC model with optimised parameters can more accurately evaluate hot-spot temperature,and the absolute error is decreased by 2.4 K(38.7%)compared with traditional thermal models.

CdSe：Eu nanoparticles（NPs） were synthesized using an oil phase method and the substitution of Cd2＋with Eu3＋ was confirmed by XRD,TEM,UV-Vis absorption and fluorescence emission *** CdSe：Eu NPs are monodispersed and uniform spherical particles with a diameter of 3.2 nm,bigger than the pure CdSe NPs（2.3 nm）,but with a similar cubic structure as CdSe *** with those of pure CdSe NPs,both emission spectrum and absorption spectrum of CdSe：Eu NPs are *** CdSe：Eu NPs are incorporated into poly（MMA-co-MQ） to afford poly（MMA-co-MQ）-CdSe：Eu NPs with the cubic structure and particle size（～3-4 nm） similar to those of CdSe：Eu *** TEM imaging suggests that the CdSe：Eu NPs are uniformly dispersed in poly（MMA-co-MQ,） without any obvious *** fluorescent emission peak and absorption peak of poly（MMA-co-MQ）-CdSe：Eu NPs are between those of CdSe：Eu NPs and poly（MMA-co-MQ）,possibly due to the energy transfer caused by the interactions of Cd or Eu atoms on the surfaces of CdSe：Eu NPs with the N and O atoms of poly（MMA-co-MQ）.These CdSe：Eu and poly（MMA-co-MQ）-CdSe：Eu NPs with tunable photoluminescence properties can be potentially used for the fabrication of optical and optoelectronic devices.

In the present paper, a metal–organic framework Cr-BDC was prepared and used as adsorbent for adsorption of o-nitrophenol(ONP) and p-nitrophenol(PNP) from aqueous solutions. Cr-BDC was characterized by scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscope, X-ray diffraction and BET methods. The results indicate that Cr-BDC gets a very large specific surface area of 4128 m^2·g^(-1)and pore sizes are concentrated in 1 nm, which is a benefit for using for wastewater treatment. The influences of the adsorption conditions, such as temperature,solution concentration, adsorption time and reusability on adsorption performance were investigated. Cr-BDC exhibited an encouraging uptake capacity of 310.0 mg·g^(-1)for ONP, and adsorption capacity of Cr-BDC for ONP is significantly higher than that for PNP under suitable adsorption conditions. The characterizations of adsorption process were examined with the Lagergren pseudo-first-order, the pseudo-second-order kinetic model, and the intra-particular diffusion model. Kinetics experiments indicated that the pseudo-second-order model displayed the best correlation with adsorption kinetics data. Furthermore, our adsorption equilibrium data could be better described by the Freundlich equation. The results indicate that the as-prepared Cr-BDC is promising for use as an effective and economical adsorbent for ONP removal.
