High Fe‑Loading Single‑Atom Catalyst Boosts RoS Production by Density Effect for Efficient Antibacterial Therapy

The current single-atom catalysts(SACs)for medicine still suffer from the limited active site ***,we develop a synthetic method capable of increasing both the metal loading and mass-specific activity of SACs by exchanging zinc with *** constructed iron SACs(h^(3)-FNC)with a high metal loading of 6.27 wt%and an optimized adjacent Fe distance of~4 A exhibit excellent oxidase-like catalytic performance without significant activity decay after being stored for six months and promising antibacterial ***,a“density effect”has been found at a high-enough metal doping amount,at which individual active sites become close enough to interact with each other and alter the electronic structure,resulting in significantly boosted intrinsic activity of single-atomic iron sites in h^(3)-FNCs by 2.3 times compared to low-and medium-loading ***,the overall catalytic activity of h^(3)-FNC is highly improved,with mass activity and metal mass-specific activity that are,respectively,66 and 315 times higher than those of commercial Pt/*** addition,h^(3)-FNCs demonstrate efficiently enhanced capability in catalyzing oxygen reduction into superoxide anion(o_(2)·^(−))and glutathione(GSH)*** in vitro and in vivo assays demonstrate the superior antibacterial efficacy of h^(3)-FNCs in promoting wound *** work presents an intriguing activity-enhancement effect in catalysts and exhibits impressive therapeutic efficacy in combating bacterial infections.

Formation and characteristics of soot from pyrolysis of ethylene blended with furan fuels

The global star formation law of galaxies revisited in the radio continuum

We study the global star formation law, the relation between the gas and star formation rate （SFR） in a sample of 130 local galaxies with infrared （IR） luminosities spanning over three orders of magnitude （109-1012 Lo）, which includes 91 normal spiral galaxies and 39 （ultra）luminous IR galaxies [（U）LIRGs]. We derive their total （atomic and molecular） gas and dense molecular gas masses using newly available HI, Co and HCN data from the literature. The SFR of galaxies is determined from total IR （8-1000 μm） and 1.4 GHz radio continuum （RC） luminosities. The galaxy disk sizes are defined by the de-convolved elliptical Gaussian FWHm.of the RC maps. We derive the galaxy disk-averaged SFRs and various gas surface densities, and investigate their relationships. We find that the galaxy disk-averaged surface density of dense molecular gas mass has the tightest correlation with that of SFR （scatter -0.26 dex）, and is linear in log-log space （power-law slope of N=1.03±0.02） across the full galaxy sample. The correlation between the total gas and SFR surface densities for the full sample has a somewhat larger scatter （-0.48 dex）, and is best fit by a power-law with slope 1.45±0.02. However, the slope changes from -1 when only normal spirals are considered, to -1.5 when more and more （U）LIRGs are included in the fitting. When different Co-to-H2 conversion factors are used to infer molecular gas masses for normal galaxies and （U）LIRGs, the bi-modal relations claimed recently in Co observations of high-redshift galaxies appear to also exist in local populations of star-forming galaxies.

Physical model investigation on effects of drainage condition and cement addition on consolidation behavior of tailings slurry within backfilled stopes

Estimation of stressses within the tailings slurry during self-weight consolidation is a critical issue for cost-effective barricade design and efficient backfill planning in underground mine *** process requires a good understanding of self-weight consolidation behaviors of the tailings slurry within practical stopes,where many factors can have significant effects on the consolidation,including drainage condition and cement *** this paper,the prepared tailings slurry with different cement contents(0,4.76wt%,and 6.25wt%)was poured into1.2 m-high columns,which allowed three drainage scenarios(undrained,partial lateral drainage near the bottom part,and full lateral drainage boundaries)to investigate the effects of drainage condition and cement addition on the consolidation behavior of the tailings *** consolidation behavior was analyzed in terms of pore water pressure(PWP),settlement,volume of drainage water,and residual water *** results indicate that increasing the length of the drainage boundary or cement content aids in PWP *** addition,constructing an efficient drainage boundary was more favorable to PWP dissipation than increasing cement *** final stable PWP on the column floor was not sensitive to cement *** final settlement of uncemented tailings slurry was independent of drainage conditions,and that of cemented tailings slurry decreased with the increase in cement ***,more pore water can drain out from the cemented tailings slurry than the uncemented tailings slurry during consolidation.

Coating zirconium.oxide-nanocom.osite with humic acid for recovery of mercury and chromium in hazardous waste of chemical oxygen demand test

Hazardous waste of chemical oxygen demand (CoD) test (HWCoD) is one of the most com.on laboratory wastewaters,containing large amounts of H_(2)So_(4)and highly toxic Cr^(3+)and Hg^(2+).Current treatment methods suffered from incomplete removal of Cr^(3+)and ***,a humic acid-coated zirconium.oxide-resin nanocom.osite (HA-HZo-201) was fabricated for efficient recovery of Cr^(3+)and Hg^(2+)in *** synthesized HA-HZo-201 shows excellent tolerance to wide p H range (1–5) and high salinity (3.5 mol/L Na Cl),as well as adsorption capacity for Cr^(3+)(37.5 mg/g) and Hg^(2+)(121.3 mg/g).After treating with HA-HZo-201 by using a fixed-bed adsorption procedure,the final Cr^(3+)and Hg^(2+)concentrations in HWCoD decreased to 0.28 and 0.02 mg/L,*** addition,the HA-HZo-201 can be regenerated by desorption and recovery of Cr^(3+)and Hg^(2+)using HNo_(3)and thiourea as eluents,*** 5 cycles of adsorption/desorption,the removal efficiencies still reach up to86.0%for Cr^(3+)and 89.7%for Hg^(2+),indicating an excellent regeneration of *** hope this work open new opportunities for treatment of HWCoDwith high-efficiency and low-cost.

Extracting Vegetation Phenology metrics in Changbai mountains Using an Improved Logistic model

Remotely sensing images are now available for monitoring vegetation dynamics over large *** this paper,an improved logistic model that combines double logistic model and global function was *** this model with SPoT/NDVI data,three key vegetation phenology metrics,the start of growing season (SoS),the end of growing season (EoS) and the length of growing season (LoS),were extracted and mapped in the Changbai mountains,and the relationship between the key phenology metrics and elevation were *** show that average SoS of forest,cropland and grassland in the Changbai mountains are on the 119th,145th,and 133rd day of year,*** EoS of forest and grassland are similar,with the average on the 280th and 278th,*** comparison,average EoS of the cropland is relatively *** LoS of forest is mainly from the 160th to 180th,that of the grassland extends from the 140th to the 160th,and that of cropland stretches from the 110th to the *** the latitude increases for the same land cover in the study area,the SoS significantly delays and the EoS becomes *** SoS delays approximately three days as the elevation increases 100 m in the areas with elevation higher than 900 m above sea level (a.s.l.).The EoS is slightly earlier as the elevation increases especially in the areas with elevation below 1200 m *** LoS shortens approximately four days as the elevation increases 100 m in the areas with elevation higher than 900 m *** relationships between vegetation phenology metrics and elevation may be greatly influenced by the land *** by comparing with the field data and previous research results indicates that the improved logistic model is reliable and effective for extracting vegetation phenology metrics.

A low-floor bit-mapping scheme for LDPC coded BICm for 5G and beyond systems

This paper proposes a low-floor bit-mapping(LFBm) scheme for bit-interleaved coded modulation(BICm) systems to meet more stringent quality of service requirements of 5G and beyond. For highefficiency transmissions, we consider the 5G low-density parity-check codes with high-order 2m-quadrature amplitude modulations(QAms). The proposed LFBm scheme overcomes plenty of trapping sets induced by the bit interleaver, which focuses on the waterfall performance too aggressively. When the high-order QAm is used, the row-column interleaver specified by the 5G standard is such a bit interleaver. The LFBm scheme only optimizes the rule of mapping an m-bit tuple output by the row-column interleaver to a modulation sym.ol, rather than the entire bit interleaver. Therefore, the optimized bit mapper is actually an m-bit permutation module concatenated with the original bit interleaver employed in the current 5G BICm *** simulation results confirm that the LFBm scheme can lower the error floor of the 5G BICm system by approximately two orders of magnitude, while with negligible performance loss in the waterfall region.
