The Performance of chinese Private Firms in Coping with a Global Financial Crisis： Who Is Best Positioned？

Using organizational flexibility as a research lens, we investigate how private firms, especially SMEs, in china cope with the 2008 financial crisis. Testing data from a large sample of private firms （N=3,459） by difference-indifferences analysis, we find that firms with industrial diversification, geographic expansion and political connections perform better during the crisis than those without. These results are less affected by self-selection problems （as the abrupt crisis provides a natural experiment） and hold up against endogeneity and several other challenges in robustness tests. The findings offer important implications for researchers, business owners, policy makers and future research.

The newly discovered iron-chalcogenide superconductorKxFe2ySe2exhibits a distinct electronic structure from other iron-based *** polarization-dependent angle-resolved photoemission spectroscopy,we have determined the orbital characters of band structure in *** a large extent,we find thatKxFe2ySe2superconductor shares similar orbital characters with other iron-based superconductors,but with its own *** example,we have resolved two highly degenerate electron cylinders around the zone corner in the s and p geometries,respectively,indicating negligible interactions between ***,in contrast to the band calculation results,the small electron pocket around Z is found to be mainly consisted of the d z 2 *** determined orbital characters would help to construct a realistic model forKxFe2ySe2.

Protein kinase CK2 consists of two catalytic subunits (CK2α) and two regulatory subunits (CK2β). Here, we report the crystal structures of rat CK2α mutant (rCK2α-△C, 1—335) and CK2β (rCK2β). The overall topology of rCK2α-△C and rCK2β are very similar to the human enzyme, although large structural differences could be observed in the N-terminal domain of rCK2α-△C. Our reported structure of rCK2α-△C is in the close conformation state while the counterpart hCK2α is in the open conformation state, indi- cating the conformation of CK2α molecule has high plasticity. The structure of rCK2β represents the conformation of free CK2β. Upon CK2α binding, the C-terminal region undergoes a drastic conformational change. The major region of interaction within the interface of CK2α/CK2β may serve as a bridge to transmit the conformational change and thus regulate the activity of CK2α.

TRICHOSANTHIN (TCS) is a type Ⅰ ribosome inactivating protein (RIP) with the N-glycosi-dase activity. It removes adenine (ADE) at position A4324 of 28SrRNA. The crystal struc-tural model and the activity of mutants show that the cleft between two domains is the activitypocket of the N-glycosidase. This provides a solid foundation for the study on relationship be-tween structure and function. Several crystal structures of the complex for exploring the mech-anism of the N-glycosidase have been reported, including TCS/FMP and TCS/ANE complex-es by Yang et al., TCS/NADPH complex by Xiong et al., α MMC/FMP and αMMC/ADE complexes by Ren et al., RTA/FMP and RTA/ApG complexes by Monzingo

Nanoporous silica with unusual interior composite cells was synthesized with synthetic block copolypeptide Phe20-b-PBLG50 as template for the first time. Anilino-methyl triethoxy silane (AMTS) was used as an intermedium to interact with block co-polypeptide Phe20-b-PBLG50 through π-π interaction between the phenyl groups of block copolypeptide and those of AMTS. Meanwhile, AMTS co-condenses together with tetraethoxylsilane (TEOS) after hy-drolysis. The structure of composite vesicles due to the self-assembly of block copolypeptide in the or-ganic solvent was immobilized and transcribed by the formation of silica. The formation of nanopores could be ascribed to the secondary structure of block co-polypeptide and small molecular amine. Our results provide a new avenue to synthesize porous oxide materials with novel interior structures templated by the copolypeptide self-assembly under ambient con-ditions.

Despite recent progress in hepatitis treatment,there have been no significant advances in the development of liver cancer vaccines in recent *** this study,we investigated the regulatory effect and potential mechanism of hepatocyte growth factor receptor(MET,also known as HGFR)on tumor vaccinations for liver cancer in ***,we demonstrate that MET expression is significantly associated with the immunogenicity of liver cancer in mice and humans,and that MET depletion dramatically enhances the protective efficacy of chemotherapy-based anti-liver cancer ***,MET repressed liver cancer immunogenicity independent of the traditional PI3K–AKT cascade,and MET interacted with vacuolar ATP synthase(V-ATPase)and mediated the activation of mammalian target of rapamycin(MTOR),thus suppressing liver cancer *** efficacy of chemotherapy-based liver cancer vaccination was markedly enhanced by targeting the MET–V-ATPase–MTOR axis,highlighting a translational strategy for identifying MET-associated drug candidates for cancer prevention.

Tuberous sclerosis complex is a type of genetic multisystem disease that causes hamartomas in various *** angiofibromas commonly occur in 80%of patients and are prominently distributed over the cheek,chin,and nasolabial folds with severe disfigurement and emotional ***,photoelectric devices have been identified for the treatment of angiofibromas with great efficacy and fewer side *** report a case of a 42-year-old man with facial angiofibromas,who was treated with a combination of high-frequency electrocauterization,Ultrapulse CO_(2) laser,and microneedle fractional radiofrequency with 7 sessions and a 6-month *** patient showed great improvement in relation to the elevated lesions and nodules.A low recurrence rate was *** is the first study to investigate the efficacy of high-frequency electrocauterization and microneedle fractional radiofrequency in *** may provide an optimal approach for clinicians wherein a combined treatment of various lasers and electric devices is effective for complicated,protuberant,and firm angiofibromas of specific patients.

从新制度主义的视角来看,我国大学中跨学科组织的发展困境主要是由于包括政府、高校、企业和专业学术团体在内的有关行为体,在促进跨学科组织发展的规制、规范和文化—认知制度要素上供给不足,以及现有制度要素内部的冲突和制度要素间的不协调所导致的。制度要素的供给不足与冲突主要表现在:政府旨在推动高校跨学科发展的规制无法得到大学内部及时而有效的规制响应;受传统系科制的影响,大学内部的学科规范仍然强势地挤压着跨学科规范的确立与实施;企业等民间机构作为跨学科研究重要助力者,其活力和效力尚未得到充分的释放与实现;保守的学科文化与认知仍然在一定程度上阻碍跨学科共识的形成。

当代中国社会科学研究领域中,“逆城镇化”是一个极富争议的学术议题,吸引了经济学、社会学、历史学、地理学、人口学等学者的关注,并呈现出“百家争鸣”的景象。这些“争鸣”大体表现为“真伪之辩”“同异之辩”以及“好坏之辩”。“三大争鸣”在繁荣逆城镇化研究的同时,也在一定程度上阻碍了中国逆城镇化研究的持续深入。在社会科学本土化的浪潮之下,学术界应当基于本土视角、立足本土实践、提炼本土事实、构建本土理论,以此来破解“三大争鸣”,促进中国逆城镇化理论与实践的关系重构,实现逆城镇化理论的中西对话,为构建中国本土的城市化理论话语体系提供动力。
