Solid lipid nanoparticles loading with curcumin and dexanabinol to treat major depressive disorder

Dexanabinol(HU-211)is an artificially synthesized cannabinoid derivative that exerts neuroprotective effects through anti-inflammatory and antioxidant *** exhibits antidepressant effects in the treatment of major depressive *** investigate the antidepressant effects of solid lipid nanoparticles loaded with both curcumin and dexanabinol,and the underlying mechanisms associated with this combination,we established wild-type(CBR1~(+/+))and cannabinoid receptor 1(CBR1)knockout(CBR1~(–/–))mouse models of major depressive disorder,through the intraperitoneal injection of corticosterone,for 3 successive days,followed by treatment with intraperitoneal injections of solid lipid nanoparticles loading with curcumin(20 mg/kg)and dexanabinol(0.85 mg/kg),for 2 successive *** results revealed that solid lipid nanoparticle loading with curcumin and dexanabinol increased the m RNA and protein expression levels of the mature neuronal markers neuronal nuclei,mitogen-activated protein 2,and neuron-specific beta-tubulin III,promoted the release of dopamine and norepinephrine,and increased the m RNA expression of CBR1 and the downstream genes Rasgef1c and Egr1,and simultaneously improved rat locomotor ***,solid lipid nanoparticles loaded with curcumin and dexanabinol had no antidepressant effects on the CBR1~(–/–)mouse models of major depressive *** study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee of Tongji Hospital of Tongji University,China(approval No.2017-DW-020)on May 24,2017.

Reaction Activity of Kao linite Surfaces:Quantum Chemistry Calculations

The anion kaolinite surface interactions and AuS - adsorption onto the surfaces of kaolinite were studied using the self consistent field discrete variation (SCF-X α-DV) *** structure and energies of the system of anion AuS - adsorbed on an atomic cluster of kaolinite were *** results show that the systems with lower total energy are those AuS - adsorbed on the edge surfaces,which indicates that the systems of adsorption of AuS - on the edges are more stable relative to those adsorbed on the basal *** the other hand,bond order data suggest that significant shifting of atomic charge and the overlapping of electronic cloud between Au (Ⅰ) of the AuS - and the surface ions of kaolinite would take place in the systems with AuS - being adsorbed on the edges,especially at the site near Al ***,it can be concluded that edge sites will dominate the complexation reactions of the surfaces of kaolinite,with negligible contributions from other functional groups on the basal plane,which are dominated by either siloxane sites in silica layers or aluminol sites in gibbsite layers.

Geographical background and dispersal ability may strongly influence assemblage dissimilarity;however,these aspects have generally been overlooked in previous large-scale beta diversity ***,we examined whether the patterns and drivers of taxonomic beta diversity(TBD)and phylogenetic beta diversity(PBD)of breeding birds in China vary across(1)regions on both sides of the Hu Line,which demarcates China’s topographical,climatic,economic,and social patterns,and(2)species with different dispersal *** and PBD were calculated and partitioned into turnover and nestedness components using a moving window *** representing climate,habitat heterogeneity,and habitat quality were employed to evaluate the effects of environmental *** distance was considered to assess the impact of dispersal *** partitioning analysis was applied to assess the relative roles of these *** general,the values of TBD and PBD were high in mountainous areas and were largely determined by environmental ***,different dominant environmental filters on either side of the Hu Line led to divergent beta diversity ***,climate-driven species turnover and habitat heterogeneity-related species nestedness dominated the regions east and west of the line,***,bird species with stronger dispersal ability were more susceptible to environmental filtering,resulting in more homogeneous *** results indicated that regions with distinctive geographical backgrounds may present different ecological factors that lead to divergent assemblage dissimilarity patterns,and dispersal ability determines the response of assemblages to these ecological *** a single universal explanation for the observed pattern without considering these aspects may lead to simplistic or incomplete ***,a comprehensive understanding of large-scale beta diversity patterns and effective pla

CRYSTALLIZATION CHARACTERISTICS OF β-PHASE CRYSTALS IN COPOLYMERS OF POLYPROPYLENE WITH LOW ETHYLENE CONTENT

Polypropylene copolymers (CPP) containing β-nucleating agent were investigated by differential scanningcalorimetry (DSC), wide-angle X-ray diffraction (WAXD) and polarizing light microscopy (PLM). The results show thathigh content of β-phase crystals can also be formed for CPPs. Like PP homopolymers, the CPPs also have a most favorabletemperature near 132℃ for β-phase crystal growth. The crystallization rate of CPPs containing β-nucleating agent (β-CPP) ismuch greater than that of PP homopolymer containing β-nucleating agent (β-PP homopolymer). The observation ofspherulite morphology of β-CPP and β-PP homopolymer shows that the spherulites of β-CPP are more imperfect than thoseof β-PP homopolymer.

TRANSESTERIFICATION OF POLY(ETHYLENE TEREPHTHALATE) WITH POLY(ε-CAPROLACTONE)

Transesterification of poly（ethylene terephthalate）（PET） with poly（ε-caprolactone）（PCL） was investigated bymeans of NMR spectroscopy, extraction experiments, differential scanning calorimetry （DSC） and phase contrast microscopy（PCM）. The;H-NMR results show that transesterification takes place in the melt blends and leads to the formation of thePET-PCL copolyester with a chemical structure similar to ethylene terephthalate-ε-caprolactonc copolycster （TCL）synthesized directly from monomers. However, even in the blend that has been transesterified for 8 h, the random PET-PCLcopolyester, PET-PCL copolyester with long PET or long PCL segments and the unreacted PET and PCL homopolymersmay coexist. Due to the low mobility of PET and PCL chains and the high viscosity of the two macromolecules, thetransesterification proceeds with difficulty. Furthermore, PET is incompatible with PCL, the transesterification can onlyoccur at the interface or in the interfacial region between two phases, and finally the reaction can only reach a localequilibrium. These results indicate that in fact the transesterification in the melt blend between two incompatiblehomopolymers could not lead to the formation of completely random or typical block copolyesters.

ATOMIC FORCE MICROSCOPY STUDIES OF POLYCAPROLACTONE RINGED SPHERULITES

The surface morphology of free-surface PCL ringed spherulites was investigated by using atomic force microscopy. The spherulites were obtained by crystallization of PCL/PVC blends of different compositions. It was found that the ringed spherulite exhibited regularly fluctuating rings on its surface. Compared with the bright-dark ring pattern of the spherulite under a polarizing microscope, it was proved that the optical characteristics of the ringed spherulite under polarizing microscope coincided with its surface characteristics. The bright rings in polarizing micrographs of the spherulite coincided with the convex rings on its surface, while the dark rings coincided with the concave rings.

Has“Grain for Green”threaten food security on the Loess Plateau of China?

There is debating over the question of whether the large-scale‘Grain for Green’program on the Loess Plateau of China threatens regional food ***-sufficiency index and cropland pressure index were used to assess food security on the Loess Plateau after the implementation of revegetation *** results showed that the‘Grain for Green’program initially had a considerable impact on regional food security,where grain yield fell from 1999 to 2001,resulting in a lower grain self-sufficiency and increased farmland ***,grain yield in this region increased due to the elevated agricultural material input and increased construction of terraces and check *** grain self-sufficiency index would have increased to 96.55%if there were improvements to the agricultural conditions,such as fertilization and irrigation,which would have resulted in an increase in the crop yield per unit of 20%.However,the grain self-sufficiency increased to 105.25%via the construction of terraces and check ***,the government should further expand the‘Grain for Green’program in coordination with improvements to the agricultural production conditions and the construction of terraces and check dams on the Loess Plateau.
