We report on the bromatological profile, the preliminary phytochemical composition, the antioxidant capacity, and the in vitro neuroprotective effects of Blackberry Jam *** were the major macronutrients(20 g/100 g)in both pulp and seeds(36.5 g/100g),that also possess a low lipid content(0.1 g/100 g and 0.7 g/100,and 86 Kcal/100 g,respectively).Eleven compounds including a diterpenoid dimmer,a lactone, coumarins, sphingosines, and flavonoids have been identified for the first time in the pulp and seeds of *** by mass *** electrochemical index of the hydroalcoholic extract of the pulp(BJFp respectively)and an appreciable energy value(89 Kcal/100 g)was around 6.8μA/V and two reversible cathode peaks were observed up to 0.5 V,thus shedding light to its antioxidant capacity, which was also evidenced by the DPPH•and ABTS+radical scavenging assays(IC50 of 3.30±0.23μg/mL and 18.17±1.21μg/mL,respectively).The BJFp protected against oxidative stress in vitro by significantly decreasing both the lipid peroxidation and contents of carbonyl proteins in a dose-dependent manner in murine brain cells treated with ***,the BJFp increased the superoxide dismutase(EC50 of 11.99±0.35μg/mL)and catalase(EC50 of 69.53±0.43μg/mL)*** BJFp markedly decreased both the in vitro acetylcholinesterase(IC50 of 227.9±0.34μg/mL)and butyrylcholinesterase(IC50 of 8.77±0.40μg/mL)***,besides being a great source of energy, this Amazon superfruit may be promising for enhancing the treatment outcomes of ailments related to oxidative stress, which require further in vivo investigation.

In the present work, we investigated the effect of Mucuna deeringiana defatted bran on seed germination of soybean (Glycine max L. Merrill). For this, the defatted bran was obtained from different operational conditions using CO2 under pressurized conditions as solvent. Oil extractions were carried out in a laboratorial scale unit at temperatures ranging from 310 to 330 K, pressure from 15 to 25 MPa and solvent flow set in 3 mL min^-1. The experiment was conducted in a germination chamber (25℃, 12:12 h light:dark photoperiod), and the germination rate and germination speed index (GSI) were evaluated for seven days. The results showed that the oil extraction with supercritical CO2 concentrates the allelochemical L-3,4-dihydroxyphenylalanine (L-DOPA) in bran with levels from 1.86% to 4.65%. Subsequent experiments revealed that the rate of soybean seed germination was not affected by defatted bran whereas the GSI increased significantly after treatment. In brief, we concluded that the extraction process with supercritical CO2 is efficient to obtain L-DOPA of Mucuna, which influences the soybean seed germination.

BACKGROUND: Mild to moderate musculoskeletal trauma is a common cause for an emergency room visit, and frequent pain is one of the cardinal symptoms of consultation. The objective of this study is to assess the perception of a single subcutaneous dose of 50 mg tramadol for pain management in patients with mild to moderate musculoskeletal trauma, likewise to appraise the perception of pain by subcutaneous ***: A total of 77 patients, who met inclusion criteria, received a single subcutaneous dose of tramadol. Pain control was evaluated based on the verbal numerical pain scale(0–10) at baseline, 20 and 60 minutes; similarly, pain perception was evaluated secondary to subcutaneous injection of the ***: On admission, the average pain perceived by patients was 8; twenty minutes later, 89% of the patients reported fi ve or less, and after sixty minutes, 94% had three or less on the verbal numerical pain scale. Of the patients, 88% reported pain perception by verbal numeric scale of 3 or less by injection of the drug, and 6.5% required a second analgesic for pain control. Two events with drug administration(soft tissue infection and mild abdominal rectus injection) were ***: We conclude that a single subcutaneous dose of tramadol is a safe and effective option for the management of patients with mild to moderate pain and musculoskeletal disease in the emergency department.
