To show the risks and harm caused by the occup.tional exp.sure to the benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene and xylenes comp.unds (BTEX), the working conditions of 113 p.rsons emp.oyed at gas stations in the cities of Riach?o do Jacuip., Feira de Santana and Salvador in the state of Bahia, Brazil were investigated by exp.rts who correlated p.otection measures required by law and those ap.lied to the workers. Data collection was p.rformed by help.of a questionnaire and non-p.rticip.nt observation record. The age group. of the workers in the three cities surveyed were between 18 to 25 years (30.08%) and 26 to 33 years (34.51%) of the total. The study revealed an association between occup.tional habits of workers at gas stations and the p.evalence of symp.oms due to the exp.sure to the BTEX comp.unds. Regarding the use of p.rsonal p.otective Equip.ent (p.E) most workers wear boots. The data show that these workers rep.rted symp.oms such as headache, rhinitis, leg p.in, drowsiness, cough, fatigue, insomnia, tremors and p.lp.tations. These disorders are related back to p.evious exp.sure to BTEX comp.unds which is associated with inadequate occup.tional habits of the workers which p.tentiate chemical contamination in their resp.ctive environment.

Wind direction nowcasting is crucial in various sectors,p.rticularly for ensuring aviation op.rations and *** this context,the TELMo(Time-series Embeddings from Language Models)model,a sop.isticated deep.learning architecture,has been introduced in this work for enhanced wind-direction *** by using three years of data from multip.e stations in the comp.ex terrain of an international airp.rt,TELMo incorp.rates the horizontal u(east-west)and v(north-south)wind comp.nents to significantly reduce forecasting *** a day with high wind direction variability,TELMo achieved mean absolute error values of 5.66 for 2-min,10.59 for 10-min,and 14.79 for 20-min forecasts,p.ocessed within a swift 9-ms/step.*** degree-based analysis,in comp.rison,yielded lower p.rformance,emp.asizing the effectiveness of the u and v *** contrast,a Vanilla neural network,rep.esenting a shallow-learning ap.roach,underp.rformed in all analyses,highlighting the sup.riority of deep.learning methodologies in wind direction *** is an efficient model,cap.ble of accurately forecasting wind direction for air traffic op.rations,with an error less than 20°in 97.49%of the p.edictions,aligning with recommended international *** model design enables its ap.licability across various geograp.ical locations,making it a versatile tool in global aviation meteorology.

BACKGROUND In p.tients with metastatic colorectal cancer(mCRC),the treatment op.ions are limited and have been p.oved to be affected by rat sarcoma virus(RAS)mutational *** RAS wild-typ.(wt)p.tients,the combination of antiep.dermal growth factor recep.or(EGFR)monoclonal antibodies with chemotherap.(CT)is more effective than CT *** the other hand,RAS-mutated p.tients are not eligible for treatment with anti-EGFR *** SUMMARY Eleven p.tients with initially RAS-mutated mCRC were followed from diagnosis to May *** the time of cell-free DNA determination,five p.tients had undergone one CT line,five p.tients had undergone two CT lines,and one p.tient had undergone three CT lines(all in combination with bevacizumab).At the second and third treatment lines[second line(2L),third line(3L)],p.tients with neo-RAS wt received a combination of CT and *** neo-RAS wt p.tients treated with anti-EGFR,our findings indicated an increase in p.ogression-free survival for both 2L and 3L(14.5 mo,p.0.119 and 3.9 mo,p.0.882,resp.ctively).Regarding 2L overall survival,we registered a slight increase in neo-RAS wt p.tients treated with anti-EGFR(33.6 mo vs 32.4 mo,p.0.385).At data cut-off,two p.tients were still alive:A RAS-mutated p.tient undergoing 3L treatment and a neo-RAS wt p.tient who received 2L treatment with anti-EGFR(ongoing).CONCLUSION Our case series demonstrated that monitoring RAS mutations in mCRC by liquid biop.y may p.ovide an additional treatment line for neo-RAS wt p.tients.
