Influences of divalent ion substitution on the magnetic and dielectric properties of W-type barium ferrite

Saturation magnetization,magneto-crystalline anisotropy field,and dielectric properties are closely related to microwave devices applied at different frequencies.For regulating the magnetic and dielectric properties of W-type barium ferrites,single-phase BaMe_(2)Fe_(16)O_(27)(Me=Fe,Mn,Zn,Ni,Co) with different Me ions were synthesized by the high-temperature solid-state method.The saturation magnetization(Ms) range from 47.77 emu/g to 95.34 emu/g and the magnetic anisotropy field(H_a) range from 10700.60 Oe(1 Oe=79.5775 A·m^(-1)) to 13739.57 Oe,depending on the type of cation substitution in the hexagonal lattice.The dielectric permittivity and dielectric loss decrease with increasing frequency of the AC electric field in the low-frequency region,while they almost remain constant in the high-frequency region.The charac teristics of easy regulation and preparation make it a potential candidate for use in microwave device applications.

目的:探讨同一经络内2个相邻穴位针刺的联合效应,为针刺的中枢机制和经络学说提供一定证据。方法:50例健康志愿者随机分为2组,分别行右侧梁丘穴+足三里穴和足三里穴+上巨虚穴脉冲电针治疗仪针刺。采用区块设计模式行fMRI,分析针刺过程中的脑活动模式,并比较2组的差异。记录2组针刺感觉类型和强度,评估针刺感觉与脑活动的关系。结果:梁丘穴+足三里组和足三里穴+上巨虚穴组共同激活区集中在右侧额上回眶缘、左侧额下回盖部、左侧前扣带回和左侧眶前回,2组共同负激活区则集中在右侧缘上回、右侧尾状核、右侧壳核和左侧岛叶。梁丘穴+足三里穴组在左侧额下回盖部、左侧前扣带回等区域更活跃,而足三里穴+上巨虚穴组在右侧缘上回、左侧岛叶和左侧壳核等区域更活跃。结论:同一经络内2个相邻穴位的针刺刺激可产生协同效应,不同穴位组合对大脑活动的影响也有差异。这些结果可为针刺的中枢机制和经络学说提供一定证据,为针刺方案的设计提供参考。

iRGD-reinforced, photo-transformable nanoclusters toward cooperative enhancement of intratumoral penetration and antitumor efficacy

Insufficient intratumoral penetration greatly hurdles the anticancer performance of nanomedicine. To realize highly efficient tumor penetration in a precisely and spatiotemporally controlled manner, far-red light-responsive nanoclusters (NCs) capable of size shrinkage and charge conversion were developed and co-administered with iRGD to synergistically improve the intratumoral penetration and the anticancer efficacy. The NCs were constructed using the singlet oxygen-sensitive (SOS) polyethylene glycolpolyurethane-polyethylene glycol (PEG-(1O2)PU-PEG) triblock copolymer to encapsulate the doxorubicin (DOX)-loaded, chlorin e6 (Ce6)-conjugated polyamindoamine (PAMAM) dendrimer (DCD) via the double-emulsion method. Co-administration of iRGD notably increased the permeability of NCs within tumor vasculature and tumor tissues. In addition, upon far-red light irradiation (660 nm) of tumors at low optical density (10 mW/cm2), the generated 1O2 could disintegrate the NCs and release the DCD with positive surface charge and ultra-small size (~ 5 nm), which synergized with iRGD to enable deep intratumoral penetration. Consequently, the local 1O2 at lethal concentrations along with the released DOX efficiently and cooperatively eradicated tumor cells. This study provides a convenient approach to spatiotemporally promote the intratumoral penetration of nanomedicine and mediate programmed anticancer therapy.

Artemisinins inhibit oral candidiasis caused by Candida albicans through the repression on its hyphal development

Candida albicans is the most abundant fungal species in oral cavity. As a smart opportunistic pathogen, it increases the virulence byswitching its forms from yeasts to hyphae and becomes the major pathogenic agent for oral candidiasis. However, the overuse ofcurrent clinical antifungals and lack of new types of drugs highlight the challenges in the antifungal treatments because of the drugresistance and side effects. Anti-virulence strategy is proved as a practical way to develop new types of anti-infective drugs. Here,seven artemisinins, including artemisinin, dihydroartemisinin, artemisinic acid, dihydroartemisinic acid, artesunate, artemether andarteether, were employed to target at the hyphal development, the most important virulence factor of C. albicans. Artemisininsfailed to affect the growth, but significantly inhibited the hyphal development of C. albicans, including the clinical azole resistantisolates, and reduced their damage to oral epithelial cells, while arteether showed the strongest activities. The transcriptomesuggested that arteether could affect the energy metabolism of C. albicans. Seven artemisinins were then proved to significantlyinhibit the productions of ATP and cAMP, while reduced the hyphal inhibition on RAS1 overexpression strain indicating thatartemisinins regulated the Ras1-cAMP-Efg1 pathway to inhibit the hyphal development. Importantly, arteether significantlyinhibited the fungal burden and infections with no systemic toxicity in the murine oropharyngeal candidiasis models in vivo causedby both fluconazole sensitive and resistant strains. Our results for the first time indicated that artemisinins can be potentialantifungal compounds against C. albicans infections by targeting at its hyphal development.

The catalysis of manganese(II) (Mn2+) on chromium(VI) (Cr6+) reduction by citrate was studied through batch experiments with the concentration of citrate greatly in excess of Cr6+ at 25℃and in pH ranges of 4.0 to 5.0. Results showed that at pH 4.5 within 22 h direct reduction of Cr6+ by citrate was not observed, but for the same time when Mn2+ (50 to 200μmol L-1) was added, nearly all Cr6+ was reduced, with the higher initial Mn2+ concentration having faster Cr6+ reduction. In the initial stage of the reaction, the Cr6+ reduction could be described with a pseudo-first-order kinetics equation. In the later stage of the reaction, plots of lnc(Cr6+) versus t, where c(Cr6+) is the Cr6+ concentration in the reaction and t is the reaction time, deviated from the initial linear trend. The deviations suggested that the pseudo-first-order kinetics did not apply to the whole experimental period and that some reaction intermediates could have greatly accelerated Cr6+ reduction by citrate. The catalysis of the intermediates increased with the reaction time and gradually reached stability. Then, the plot of lnc(Cr6+) versus t in the presence of Mn2+ was linear again, with the rate constant increasing by 102 times compared with the absence of Mn2+. Complexation between Mn2+ and citrate was likely a prerequisite for the catalysis of Mn2+ on the reaction. Additional experiments showed that introducing ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA) into the reaction system strongly suppressed the catalysis of Mn2+.

目的:探讨后循环缺血性中风脑血管造影结果与中医证型的相关性。方法:选取本院经DSA确诊为后循环缺血性中风患者55例,并设置对照组为症状相似但经DSA证实非后循环缺血性患者36例,根据中医四诊合参结果确立中医证型,并与脑血管造影结果对比分析其相关性。结果:本组病例脑血管狭窄组的风痰阻络型和气虚血瘀型比例均高于脑血管正常组(P0.05)。结论:后循环缺血性中风患者脑血造影结果与中医证型有一定相关性,其中风痰阻络型和气虚血瘀型患者后循环缺血的阳性率最高,但是在后循环缺血性中风的患者中,中医证型与脑血管狭窄的程度或部位无显著相关性。

目的:分析PBL联合CBL教学法相较于LBL教学法在口腔黏膜病临床教学中的应用效果。方法:选取浙江大学医学院附属第一医院口腔科实习及规培一年级学生作为研究对象,分层随机抽样分为A组与B组。A组在第一次课程中接受LBL教学法,在第二次课程中接受PBL联合CBL教学法。B组在第一次课程中接受PBL联合CBL教学法,在第二次课程中接受LBL教学法。其中复发性阿弗他溃疡为第一次课程内容,口腔扁平苔藓为第二次课程内容。通过问卷调查和口腔黏膜病学考试两项指标对教学效果进行评价。结果:在第一次课程中,B组成绩高于A组(P<0.05)。在第二次课程中,A组成绩高于B组(P<0.05)。结论:PBL联合CBL教学法的教学效果优于LBL教学法。PBL联合CBL教学法在口腔黏膜病临床教学中是可行的。

为优化丛毛红曲霉工程菌TI-25高产莫纳可林K(monacolin K,MK)的发酵工艺,以菌株TI-25作为研究对象,以MK产量为评价指标,采用固态发酵方式,在单因素试验基础上,采用响应面优化设计,探究丛毛红曲霉工程菌TI-25高产MK的最佳发酵工艺。结果表明:发酵瓶装米量、初始加水量和发酵变温时间均会显著影响发酵产物的MK产量,而发酵时间、种子液培养基初始pH值和种子液接种量对发酵产物的MK产量的影响较小。因此,选取发酵瓶装米量、初始加水量、发酵变温时间3个因素进行响应面优化设计。优化结果表明,菌株TI-25固态发酵产MK的最佳发酵工艺为发酵瓶装米量20 g/350 mL,初始加水量32.38 mL,30℃培养3 d后,变温为28℃继续培养12 d,种子液接种量10%,种子液培养基初始pH4.5,在此条件下发酵培养,发酵产物红曲米中的MK产量高达635.12 mg/kg。

Biological crust in sand and dust storm source areas of Asia and its impact on dust emission

Even though the biological crusts are critical to dust emissions,no sand and dust forecast model have considered the impacts of the biological crust in dust emission scheme.This situation mainly comes from two scientific difficulties:there is no large scale regional biological crust data available that can be used in the forecast model;there is no quantification of how biological crusts impact on sand emission.In this way,we studied the distribution of biological soil crust in sand and dust storm source areas of Central and East Asia using Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer satellite surface reflectance data collected in 2000—2019 to determine its potential impact on dust emission according to two empirical schemes.We further evaluated the relationships between soil crust coverage,roughness length,and dust emission to study SDS source areas.We found that biological crust is widely distributed in SDS source areas of Central and East Asia,with coverage rates of 19.8%in Central Asian deserts,23.1%in the Gobi Desert,and 17.3%—32.8%in Chinese deserts(p>0.05).Cyanobacteria and lichen coverage has increased in Chinese deserts,reflecting the recent impacts of the Project of Returning Farmland to Grassland and Farmland to Forests.However,biological soil crust coverage has not increased in Central Asian deserts or the Gobi Desert,and that in Central Asian deserts continues to decrease,demonstrating the complexity of the combined effects of human activities and climate change on its distribution.Biological soil crust increased the roughness length of Central and East Asian SDS source areas by 0.14—0.62 mm.The suppression of dust emission due to biological soil crust did not change among years during the study period.The horizontal and vertical dust flux inhibition coefficient(DFIC)were 2.0—11.0 and 1.7—2.9(p>0.05),respectively,clearly showing a suppressive effect.Improvement of the ecological environment in some deserts can lead to the ability of these crusts to inhibit dust erosion errors that must be considered
