Therapeutic effect of electroacupuncture,massage,and blocking therapy on external humeral epicondylitis

OBJECTIVE:To compare two therapeutic methods:electroacupuncture + massage + blocking therapy,and blocking therapy alone in the treatment of external humeral epicondylitis.METHODS:Eighty-six patients were randomized into two groups with 43 in each. The treatment group received electroacupuncture + massage +blocking therapy, while the control group received blocking therapy only. A course of electroacupuncture treatment included therapy once a day for 10days. There were 10 treatments in a massage course and massage was given once a day, with a1-week interval given before the next course. A course of blocking treatment included therapy once a week, for twototaltreatments,andgenerallyno more than three times. The therapeutic effects were evaluated with the visual analog scale(VAS),grip strength index(GSI) score, and Mayo elbow performance score(MEPS) before treatment and at0, 6, 12, and 24 months after treatment to observe thetotaleffectiverate.RESULTS: In the treatment and control groups before treatment and at 0, 6, 12, and 24 months after treatment, the VAS scores were: 6.5±1.9 and 6.4±1.6; 4.6±1.3 and 4.6±1.7; 4.8±1.3 and 4.8±1.2; 4.6±1.2 and 6.6±1.6; and 6.5±1.6 and 6.5±1.3, respectively. The GSI scores were 63±8 and 63±8; 84±6and82±7;82±7and82±6;84±6and62±8;and64±6 and 64±7, respectively.The MEPS of both groups were65±7and66±8;85±6and84±7;84±5and84±7;80±7and66±6;and65±6and65±7,respectively.The total effective rates of the treatment and control groups at 0, 6, 12, and 24 months after treatment were 87.5% and 85.0%; 85.0% and 82.5%;80.0% and 12.5%; and 2.5% and 5.0%, respectively.Compared with the treatment group, the control group had greater joint function, better the rapeutic effect, and lower pain intensity(P0.05)betweenthetwogroups.CONCLUSION: We found that both methods were effective for external humeral epicondylitis. Cloud Top Pressure Retrieval Using Polarized and Oxygen A-band Measurements from GF5 and PARASOL Satellites

Cloud top pressure(CTP)is one of the critical cloud properties that significantly affects the radiative effect of clouds.Multi-angle polarized sensors can employ polarized bands(490 nm)or O_(2)A-bands(763 and 765 nm)to retrieve the CTP.However,the CTP retrieved by the two methods shows inconsistent results in certain cases,and large uncertainties in low and thin cloud retrievals,which may lead to challenges in subsequent applications.This study proposes a synergistic algorithm that considers both O_(2)A-bands and polarized bands using a random forest(RF)model.LiDAR CTP data are used as the true values and the polarized and non-polarized measurements are concatenated to train the RF model to determine CTP.Additionally,through analysis,we proposed that the polarized signal becomes saturated as the cloud optical thickness(COT)increases,necessitating a particular treatment for cases where COT<10 to improve the algorithm's stability.The synergistic method was then applied to the directional polarized camera(DPC)and Polarized and Directionality of the Earth’s Reflectance(POLDER)measurements for evaluation,and the resulting retrieval accuracy of the POLDER-based measurements(RMSEPOLDER=205.176 hPa,RMSEDPC=171.141 hPa,R^(2)POLDER=0.636,R^(2)DPC=0.663,respectively)were higher than that of the MODIS and POLDER Rayleigh pressure measurements.The synergistic algorithm also showed good performance with the application of DPC data.This algorithm is expected to provide data support for atmosphere-related fields as an atmospheric remote sensing algorithm within the Cloud Application for Remote Sensing,Atmospheric Radiation,and Updating Energy(CARE)platform.

Generally shortened 3′UTR due to alternative polyadenylation(APA)is widely observed in cancer,but its regulation mechanisms for cancer are not well characterized.Here,with profiling of APA in colorectal cancer tissues and poly(A)signal editing,we firstly identified that the shortened 3′UTR of CTNNIBP1 in colorectal cancer promotes cell proliferation and migration.We found that liquid-liquid phase separation(LLPS)of PABPN1 is reduced albeit with higher expression in cancer,and the reduction of LLPS leads to the shortened 3′UTR of CTNNBIP1and promotes cell proliferation and migration.Notably,the splicing factor SNRPD2 upregulated in colorectal cancer,can interact with glutamic-proline(EP)domain of PABPN1,and then disrupt LLPS of PABPN1,which attenuates the repression effect of PABPN1 on the proximal poly(A)sites.Our results firstly reveal a new regulation mechanism of APA by disruption of LLPS of PABPN1,suggesting that regulation of APA by interfering LLPS of 3′end processing factor may have the potential as a new way for the treatment of cancer.

Optical properties of chain-like soot with water coatings

In a moist atmosphere,the ageing process of aerosol can make the agglomerated soot particles compact,and cause them to be covered by a water coating.Based on the cluster‒cluster aggregation(CCA)algorithm,the models of chain-like soot with water coatings(Models A to E)were generated in this study.The superposition T-matrix method was employed to calculate their optical properties at 337,550,860,and 1060 nm wavelengths,with a focus on the impact of the soot inclusion morphology and water coating.Our results indicate that for particles with a looser soot-inclusion structure,there is a larger difference in the scattering phase function between them and the corresponding particles with a spherical soot core.The largest relative difference reached 51.8%at 337 nm.Impacted by the size parameter,the extinction cross section(Cext),absorption cross section(Cabs),scattering cross section(Csca),and single scattering albedo(SSA)increased as the water coating radius(Rwater)increased and incidence wavelength decreased.The traditional assumption of a spherical soot core can cause the Cext,Cabs,and Csca to be overestimated,and cause the SSA to be underestimated when the incident wavelength is 337 nm.At 1060 nm,the assumption can cause the Cext,Cabs,and Csca to be underestimated,and lead the SSA to be overestimated.When the fractal dimension(Df)of chain-like soot inclusion increased from 1.8 to 2.6,the SSA of the particles with a Rwater of 0.20μm significantly decreased from 0.784 to 0.764 at 1060 nm.Moreover,the thickness of the water coating had a stronger effect on the particles with chain-like soot inclusion at 337 nm than that at 1060 nm.For the 337 nm wavelength,the difference between the Cext and Csca in Model B when Rwater=0.30 and 0.20μm was 0.588 and 0.587μm2,respectively.The differences were only 0.096 and 0.095μm2,respectively,for the 1060 nm wavelength.Based on the results calculated by the superposition T-matrix method,the ratios of P22(Θ)/P11(Θ)for chain-like soot with water coatings are not absolutely equal to 100%.

The concept of effective emissivity of nonisothermal mixed pixel and its test

Based on two preconditions, the local thermal equilibrium is satisfied and emissivities donot change with temperature, the concept of component effective emissivity of nonisothermal mixed pixel has been put forward and then the radiant directionality model of nonisothermal mixed pixel constructed from it. Our study shows that the component effective emissivity is associated with geometric structure, optical properties of target, and viewing angle, but does not depend on the component temepratures. The component temperatures can only change the ratio of component radiance to the total radiance of the mixed-pixel. The total effective emissivity of this pixel is the complement of its directional-hemisphere reflectance. After the simulation of component effective emissivity of the discrete cones and continuous vegetation canopy (winter wheat) by the Monte Carlo method, our model of radiant directionality of nonisothermal mixed pixel have been proved by lab and field measurements.

过渡金属离子的d—电子特性,使得它们的络合物可以在很多有机合成反应中起催化作用,含三苯磷配体的反式铂氢络合物就是一种稳定的、广泛应用的催化剂。为此,本工作合成了反式—[PtHXL2],L=PPh3,X=Cl-、Br-、I-、NO3-、NO2-、NCS-六种铂络合物,并测定了其1H—NMR谱。实验获得该络合物系列中,与铂（Ⅱ）相连的质子在高场具有较大的化学位移,即δH=-12～-24ppm和很大的铂-氢偶合常数即Jpt-H=900—1400Hz,以及磷氢偶合常数即Jp-H≈15Hz。此外,还研究了配体对铂-氢的1H化学位移及铂-氢偶合常数;铂-氢键长对铂-氢的1H化学位移的影响,并找出了一定的规律性。从而得到了络合物的顺反异构,键合异构及电子密度分布的有关信息。关于铂络合物的核磁共振研究,虽有过报道,但配体为三苯膦的反式-[PtH（PPh3）2]系列络合物NMR研究,尚未见报道。

One major strategy to generate genetically modified mouse models is gene targeting in mouse embryonic stem(ES)cells,which is used to produce gene-targeted mice for wide applications in biomedicine.However,a major bottleneck in this approach is that the robustness of germiine transmission of gene-targeted ES cells can be significantly reduced by their genetic and epigenetic instability after long-term culturing,which impairs the efficiency and robustness of mouse model generation.Recently,we have established a new type of pluripotent cells termed extended pluripotent stem(EPS)cells,which have superior developmental potency and robust germline competence compared to conventional mouse ES cells.In this study,we demonstrate that mouse EPS cells well maintain developmental potency and genetic stability after long-term passage.Based on gene targeting in mouse EPS cells,we established a new approach to directly and rapidly generate gene-targeted mouse models through tetraploid complementation,Haibo Li and Chaoran Zhao contributed equally to this work.Electronic supplementary material The online version of this article(https://***/10.1007/s13238-018-0556-1)contains supplementary material,which is available to authorized users.which could be accomplished in approximately 2 months.Importantly,using this approach,we successfully constructed mouse models in which the human interleukin 3(IL3)or interleukin 6(IL6)gene was knocked into its corresponding locus in the mouse genome.Our study demonstrates the feasibility of using mouse EPS cells to rapidly generate mouse models by gene targeting,which have great application potential in biomedical research.

目的:探究帕瑞昔布钠对宫颈癌HeLa细胞环氧化合酶-2(COX-2)/前列腺素E2(PGE2)通路及其上皮间质转化(EMT)、迁移和侵袭的影响。方法:磺酰罗丹明B(SRB)法检测帕瑞昔布钠在不同浓度和时间点对HeLa细胞存活率的影响,筛选出合适的浓度和时间点。将Hela细胞分为帕瑞昔布钠0μmol/L、25μmol/L、50μmol/L、100μmol/L组,处理24 h后,Transwell小室法检测各组细胞迁移和侵袭能力,蛋白免疫印迹(Western blot)法检测各组细胞中通路蛋白COX-2、PGE2及其下游转录激活子3(STAT3)、蛋白激酶B(AKT)、磷酸化STAT3(p-STAT3)、磷酸化AKT(p-AKT)、上皮间质转化相关E-钙黏蛋白(E-cadherin)和波形蛋白(vimentin)以及迁移侵袭相关基质金属蛋白酶2(MMP2)和基质金属蛋白酶组织抑制剂2(TIMP2)蛋白表达水平。结果:帕瑞昔布钠作用24、48、72 h均可降低HeLa细胞存活率;与帕瑞昔布钠0μmol/L组相比,帕瑞昔布钠25μmol/L、50μmol/L、100μmol/L组HeLa细胞迁移和侵袭能力、COX-2、PGE2、vimentin蛋白表达水平、STAT3、AKT磷酸化水平和MMP2/TIMP2蛋白比值依次降低,E-cadherin蛋白表达水平依次升高,且呈剂量依赖性(均P<0.05)。结论:帕瑞昔布钠可降低HeLa细胞EMT及迁移侵袭能力,可能与抑制COX-2/PGE2通路有关。
