Pheromone-binding proteins (PBPs) have been extensively investigated in lepidopteran moths, but their evolution and function in hemipteran species remain unclear. Our previous study demonstrated that an odorant-binding protein, OBP4, of the mirid bug Adelphocoris lineolatus functions as a candidate hemipteran PBP but clustered with lepidopteran antennae-binding proteins (ABPs) rather than in the PBP/general odorant-binding protein (GOBP) clade. In this study, we hypothesized that origin and function of PBPs in hemipteran bugs may differ from those of lepidopteran moths. To test this hypothesis, we first constructed a phylogenetic tree using insect OBPs from sister hemipteran and holometabolous lineages, and the results indicated that neither OBP4 nor other types of candidate PBPs of mirid bugs clustered with the lepidopteran PBP/GOBP clade. Then, a fluorescence competitive binding assay was employed to determine binding affinities of recombinant OBP4 protein to host plant volatiles, with functional groups different from A. lineolatus sex pheromone components. The results revealed that OBP4 highly bound the female adult attractant 3-hexanone and 15 other mirid bug biologically active plant volatiles. Finally, we examined cellular expression profiles of OBP4 in putative antennal sensilla that are related to female A. lineolatus host plant location. The fluorescence in situ hybridization and immunocytochemical labeling assay showed that the OBP4 gene was highly expressed in the multiporous olfactory sensilla medium-long sensilla basiconica rather than in the short sensilla basiconica or uniporous sensilla chaetica. These results, together with those of our previous studies, indicate that OBP4 not only functions in recognition of bug-produced sex pheromones in males, but is probably involved in detection of host plant volatiles in both A. lineolatus sexes. Deuteron separation energy is not only the basis for validating the nuclear mass models and nucleon-nucleon interaction potential,but also can determine the stability of a nuclide to certain extent.Bayesian neural network(BNN)approach,which has strong predictive power and can naturally give theoretical errors of predicted values,had been successfully applied to study the different kinds of separations except the deuteron separation.In this paper,several typical nuclear mass models,such as macroscopic model BW2,macroscopic-microscopic model WS4,and microscopic model HFB-31,are chosen to study the deuteron separation energy combining BNN approach.The root-mean-square deviations of these models are partly reduced.In addition,the inclusion of physical parameters related to the pair and shell effects in the input layer can further improve the theoretical accuracy for the deuteron separation energy.The results show that the theoretical predictions are more reliable as more physical features of BNN approach are included.

The multi-degree of freedom(muti-DOF)manipulator system is a complex control system with the strong coupling feature and high nonlinearity.In this paper,trajectory tracking control of a six-degree of freedom(6-DOF)manipulator based on fully-actuated system models and a direct parametric method is investigated.The fully-actuated system model of the 6-DOF manipulator is established by using the Denavit Hartenberg(DH)notation and Euler-Lagrange dynamics.A disturbance observer is constructed to solve the nonlinear uncertainties such as unmodeled dynamics and external disturbances.Then,a controller is designed using the direct parametric method to make the 6-DOF manipulator reach the desired position with high accuracy.After that,a switching control strategy is developed to suppress the peak value belonging to the controller.Simulation results reveal the effect of the proposed control approach.

Multi-label learning is more complicated than single-label learning since the semantics of the instances are usually overlapped and not identical.The effectiveness of many algorithms often fails when the correlations in the feature and label space are not fully exploited.To this end,we propose a novel non-negative matrix factorization(NMF)based modeling and training algorithm that learns from both the adjacencies of the instances and the labels of the training set.In the modeling process,a set of generators are constructed,and the associations among generators,instances,and labels are set up,with which the label prediction is conducted.In the training process,the parameters involved in the process of modeling are determined.Specifically,an NMF based algorithm is proposed to determine the associations between generators and instances,and a non-negative least square optimization algorithm is applied to determine the associations between generators and labels.The proposed algorithm fully takes the advantage of smoothness assumption,so that the labels are properly propagated.The experiments were carried out on six set of benchmarks.The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithms.

As a typical representative of global complex diseases,psoriasis has attracted widespread attention because of its high heritability,heterogeneity,and incidence.Environmentally induced activation of the inflammatory-immune axis in patients with psoriasis relies on genetic regulation of genomic variation.The heritability of psoriasis exceeds 80%,and research of genomic variation in psoriasis is of great significance to the interpretation of the biological pathogenesis of the disease.The development of genome-wide association studies(GWASs)has provided a powerful means for the capture of psoriasis susceptibility genes.More than 100 psoriasis susceptibility loci have been captured,enabling humans to gain a breakthrough understanding of the genetics and traits of psoriasis.With the advancement of research methods,increasingly more genetic methodologies are being used to capture the locations and types of variants outside the scope of GWAS scanning,making up for the inclinations and deficiencies of traditional GWAS capture of gene loci in a more detailed manner.This review covers several decades of research on genomic variation in psoriasis,including GWASs in psoriasis,the capture of functional gene variant types,and the translation of genomic variation into precision medicine;summarizes the research progress of genomic variation in psoriasis;and provides a theoretical reference for future genetic-based research of the mechanisms underlying psoriasis.

Herein,Cu–Al bimetallic oxide was synthesized and mixed with mesoporous silica spheres via a simple hydrothermal method.The prepared sample was then analyzed and employed to activate potassium peroxydisulfate for bisphenol A removal.Based on the results of X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy,and energy dispersion spectroscopy,Cu–Al bimetallic oxide was determined as CuO-Al2O3,and mesoporous silica spheres were found around the these particles.At 30 min,a bisphenol A degradation level of 90%was achieved,and it remained at over 60%after five consecutive cycles,indicating the catalyst’s superior capacity and stability.In terms of removal performance,the radical pathway(including■OH•,and■)and singlet oxygen(■)bisphenol A,potassium peroxydisulfate,and the catalyst played a dominant role.The introduction of Al2O3 promoted the formation of surface oxygen vacancies,which improved ligand complex formation between potassium peroxydisulfate and the catalyst,thereby facilitating electron migration.Furthermore,mesoporous silica spheres augment not only enhanced bisphenol A adsorption but also alleviated Cu leaching.Overall,this work is expected to provide significant support for the rational development of catalysts with high catalytic activity for persulfate activation via surface electron migration.

An electrolyte Equation of State is presented by combining the Cubic Plus Association Equation of State,Mean Spherical Approximation and the Born equation.This new model uses experimental relative static permittivity,intend to predict well the activity coefficients of individual ions(ACI)and liquid densities of aqueous solutions.This new model is applied to model water+Na Cl binary system and water+gas+Na Cl ternary systems.The cation/anion-water interaction parameters of are obtained by fitting the experimental data of ACI,mean ionic activity coefficients(MIAC)and liquid densities of water+Na Cl binary system.The cation/anion-gas interaction parameters are obtained by fitting the experimental data of gas solubilities in aqueous Na Cl solutions.The modeling results show that this new model can correlate well with the phase equilibrium and volumetric properties.Without gas,predictions for ACI,MIAC,and liquid densities present relative average deviations of 1.3%,3.6%and 1.4%compared to experimental reference values.For most gas-containing systems,predictions for gas solubilities present relative average deviations lower than 7.0%.Further,the contributions of ACI,and salting effects of Na Cl on gases are analyzed and discussed.

Scenario simulation of water retention services under land use/cover and climate changes: a case study of the Loess Plateau, China

Comprehensive assessments of ecosystem services in environments under the influences of human activities and climate change are critical for sustainable regional ecosystem management. Therefore,integrated interdisciplinary modelling has become a major focus of ecosystem service assessment. In this study, we established a model that integrates land use/cover change(LUCC), climate change, and water retention services to evaluate the spatial and temporal variations of water retention services in the Loess Plateau of China in the historical period(2000–2015) and in the future(2020–2050). An improved Markov-Cellular Automata(Markov-CA) model was used to simulate land use/land cover patterns, and ArcGIS 10.2 software was used to simulate and assess water retention services from 2000 to 2050 under six combined scenarios, including three land use/land cover scenarios(historical scenario(HS), ecological protection scenario(EPS), and urban expansion scenario(UES)) and two climate change scenarios(RCP4.5 and RCP8.5, where RCP is the representative concentration pathway). LUCCs in the historical period(2000–2015) and in the future(2020–2050) are dominated by transformations among agricultural land, urban land and grassland. Urban land under UES increased significantly by 0.63×10^(3) km^(2)/a, which was higher than the increase of urban land under HS and EPS. In the Loess Plateau, water yield decreased by 17.20×10^(6) mm and water retention increased by 0.09×10^(6) mm in the historical period(2000–2015),especially in the Interior drainage zone and its surrounding areas. In the future(2020–2050), the pixel means of water yield is higher under RCP4.5 scenario(96.63 mm) than under RCP8.5 scenario(95.46mm), and the pixel means of water retention is higher under RCP4.5 scenario(1.95 mm) than under RCP8.5 scenario(1.38 mm). RCP4.5-EPS shows the highest total water retention capacity on the plateau scale among the six combined scenarios, with the value of 1.27×10^(6) mm. Hydrogen is an indispensable energy carrier for the sustainable development of human society.Nevertheless,its storage,transportation,and in situ generation still face significant challenges.Methanol can be used as an intermediate carrier for hydrogen supplies,providing hydrogen energy through instant methanol conversion.In this study,a sorption-enhanced,chemical-looping,oxidative steam methanol-reforming(SECLOSRM)process is proposed using CuO–MgO for the on-board hydrogen supply,which could be a promising method for safe and efficient hydrogen production.Aspen Plus software was used for feasibility verification and parameter optimization of the SECL-OSRM process.The effects of CuO/CH_(3)OH,MgO/CH_(3)OH,and H_(2)O/CH_(3)OH mole ratios and of temperature on H_(2)production rate,H utilization efficiency,CH_(3)OH conversion,CO concentration,and system heat balance are discussed thoroughly.The results indicate that the system can be operated in autothermal conditions with high-purity hydrogen(99.50 vol%)and ultra-low-concentration CO(<50 ppm)generation,which confirms the possibility of integrating low-temperature proton-exchange membrane fuel cells(LT-PEFMCs)with the SECL-OSRM process.The simulation results indicate that the CO can be modulated in a lower concentration by reducing the temperature and by improving the H_(2)O/CH_(3)OH and MgO/CH_(3)OH mole ratios.
