Waste acid recovery utilizing monovalent cation permselective membranes through selective electrodialysis

selective electrodialysis(sED)has surfaced as a highly promising membrane separation technique in the realm of acid recovery owing to its ability to effectively separate monovalent ions through the utilization of a potential ***,the current sED process is limited by conventional commercial monovalent cation permselective membranes(MCPMs).This study systematically investigates the use of an independently developed MCPM in the sED process for acid *** factors such as current density,volume ratio,initial ion concentration,and waste acid systems are *** independently developed MCPM offers several advantages over the commercial monovalent selective cation-exchange membrane(CIMs),including higher recovered acid concentration,better ion flux ratio,improved acid recovery efficiency,increased recovered acid purity,and higher current *** sED process with the MCPM achieves a recovered acid of 95.9%and a concentration of 2.3 mol·L^(–1) in the hCl/FeCl_(2) system,when a current density of 20 mA·cm^(-2) and a volume ratio of 1:2 are ***,in the h_(2)sO_(4)/FesO_(4) system,a purity of over 99%and a concentration of 2.1 mol·L^(–1) can be achieved in the recovered *** study thoroughly examines the impact of operation conditions on acid recovery performance in the sED *** independently developed MCPM demonstrates outstanding acid recovery performance,highlighting its potential for future commercial utilization.

Metal oxide supported metal catalysts show promising catalytic performance in many industry-relevant ***,the enhancement of performance is often limited by the insufficient metal/metal oxide *** this work,we demonstrate a general synthesis of Pt-early transition metal oxide(Pt-MO_(x),M=Ti,Zr,V,and Y)catalysts with rich interfacial sites,which is based on the air-induced surface segregation and oxidation of M in the supported Pt-M alloy *** characterizations verify the dynamic structural response of Pt-M alloy catalysts to air and the formation of Pt-MO_(x) catalysts with abundant interfacial *** prepared Pt-TiO_(x) interfacial catalysts exhibit improved performance in hydrogenation reactions of benzaldehyde,nitrobenzene,styrene,and furfural,as a result of the heterolytic dissociation of h_(2) at Pt-metal oxide interfacial sites.

The effects of hydrogen charging time and pressure on the hydrogen embrittlement(hE)susceptibility of X52 pipeline steel material are studied by slow strain rate tensile *** fracture morphologies of the specimens are observed by scanning electron *** hE susceptibility of the X52 pipeline steel material increases with an increase in both hydrogen charging time and hydrogen *** a charging time of 96 h,the hE susceptibility index reaches 45.86%,approximately 3.6 times that at a charging time of 0 ***,a charging pressure of 4 MPa results in a hE susceptibility index of 31.61%,approximately 2.5 times.h.gher than that at a charging pressure of 0.3 MPa.

Background hematoma expansion is a determinant of poor outcome of intracerebral hemorrhage but occurs frequently,especially in warfarin-associated intracerebral hemorrhage(W-ICh).In the present study,we employ the warfarin-associated intracerebral hemorrhage(W-ICh)rat model,to explore the efficacy and potential mechanism of glibenclamide pretreatment on hematoma expansion after intracerebral hemorrhage,hoping to provide proof of concept that glibenclamide in stroke primary and secondary prevention is also potentially beneficial for intracerebral hemorrhage patients at early *** In the present study,we tested whether glibenclamide,a common hypoglycemic drug,could attenuate hematoma expansion in a rat model of *** expansion was evaluated using magnetic resonance imaging;brain injury was evaluated by brain edema and neuronal death;and functional outcome was evaluated by neurological *** blood-brain barrier integrity was assessed using Evans blue extravasation and tight junction-related *** The data indicated that glibenclamide pretreatment significantly attenuated hematoma expansion at 24 h after W-ICh,thus mitigating brain edema and neuronal death and promoting neurological function recovery,which may benefit from alleviating blood-brain barrier disruption by suppressing matrix *** The results indicate that glibenclamide pretreatment in stroke primary and secondary prevention might be a promising therapy for hematoma expansion at the early stage of W-ICh.

A Dual Domain Robust Reversible Watermarking Algorithm for Frame Grouping Videos Using scene smoothness

The proposed robust reversible watermarking algorithm addresses the compatibility challenges between robustness and reversibility in existing video watermarking techniques by leveraging scene smoothness for frame grouping *** in the h.264 video coding standard,the algorithm first employs traditional robust watermark stitching technology to embed watermark information in the low-frequency coefficient domain of the U ***,it utilizes.h.stogram migration techniques in the high-frequency coefficient domain of the U channel to embed auxiliary information,enabling successful watermark extraction and lossless recovery of the original video *** results demonstrate the algorithm’s strong imperceptibility,with each embedded frame in the experimental videos achieving a mean peak signal-to-noise ratio of 49.3830 dB and a mean structural similarity of *** with the three comparison algorithms,the performance of the two experimental indexes is improved by 7.59%and 0.4%on *** the same time,the proposed algorithm has strong robustness to both offline and online attacks:In the face of offline attacks,the average normalized correlation coefficient between the extracted watermark and the original watermark is 0.9989,and the average bit error rate is *** the face of online attacks,the normalized correlation coefficient between the extracted watermark and the original watermark is 0.8840,and the mean bit error rate is *** with the three comparison algorithms,the performance of the two experimental indexes is improved by 1.27%and 18.16%on average,highlighting the algorithm’s ***,the algorithm exhibits low computational complexity,with the mean encoding and the mean decoding time differentials during experimental video processing being 3.934 and 2.273 s,respectively,underscoring its practical utility.

Oxide-supported metal single-atom catalysts(sACs.h.ve exhibited excellent catalytic performance for water-gas shift(WGs)***,we report the single-atom catalyst Pt1/FeOx exhibits excellent medium temperature catalytic performance for WGs reactions by the density functional theory(DFT)calculations and experimental *** calculations indicate that h_(2)O molecules are easily dissociated at oxygen vacancies,and the formed*Oh and*O are adsorbed on Pt1 single atoms and the adjacent O atoms,*** studying four possible reaction mechanisms,it is found that the optimal WGs reaction pathway is proceeded along the carboxyl mechanism(pathway III),in which the formation of*COOh intermediates can promote the stability of Pt1/FeOx sAC and the easier occurrence of WGs *** energy barrier of the rate-determining step during the entire reaction cycle is only 1.16 eV,showing the high activity for the medium temperature WGs reaction on Pt1/FeOx sAC,which was verified by experimental ***,the calculated turnover frequencies(TOFs)of CO_(2)and h_(2)formation on Pt1/FeOx at 610 K(337℃)can reach up to 1.14×10^(-3)s^(-1)·site^(-1)through carboxyl *** this work,we further expand the application potential of Pt1/FeOx sAC in WGs reaction.

Comparative transcriptome analysis reveals key genes and pathways in response to Alternaria alternata apple pathotype infection

Apple leaf spot,caused by the Alternaria alternata apple pathotype(AAAP),is an important fungal disease of *** understand the molecular basis of resistance and pathogenesis in apple leaf spot,the transcriptomes of two apple cultivars.h.nfu'(hF)(resistant)and‘Golden Delicious'(GD)(susceptible)were analyzed at 0,6,18,24 and 48 h after AAAP inoculation by *** each time point,a large number of significantly differentially expressed genes(DEGs)were screened between AAAP-inoculated and uninoculated apple *** of the common DEGs at four time points revealed significant differences in the resistance of‘hF'and‘GD'apple to AAAP ***,RNL,and JA signal-related genes were upregulated in both cultivars to restrict AAAP ***,genes encoding CNLs,TNLs,WRKYs,and AP2s were only activated in‘hF'as part of the resistance response,of which,some play major roles in the regulation of ET and sA signal *** analysis showed that many DEGs with opposite expression trends in the two hosts may play important regulatory roles in response to AAAP *** expression of one such gene MdERF110 in‘GD'apple leaves improved AAAP ***,this study highlights the reasons for differential resistance to AAAP infection between‘hF'and‘GD'apples which can theoretically assist the molecular breeding of disease-resistant apple crops.

Carbon dots anchored NiAl-LDh@In_(2)O_(3) hierarchical nanotubes for promoting selective CO_(2) photoreduction into Ch_(4)

The efficient conversion of CO_(2) into hydrocarbon fuels(Ch_(4))with high selectivity is considered as a great challenge in photocatalysis owing to the multiple-electron transfer pathway and competitive h_(2) ***,we developed carbon dots(CDs)-modulated s-s.h.me heterojunction of CDs/NiAl-LDh@In_(2)O_(3)(C-Dh@IN)through a facile in-situ hydrothermal *** to the multi-shell nanotube structure,the C-Dh@IN shows an enhanced Ch_(4) evolution rate of 10.67μmol h^(-1)g^(-1)and higher selectivity of Ch_(4)(85.70%)compared with In_(2)O_(3) and Ni Al-LDh@In_(2)O_(3) binary catalyst in the pure water without sacrificial *** spin resonance(EsR)and in situ Fourier transform infrared spectra verify that the constructed s-s.h.me heterojunction can possess the strong redox capability and the hCOOand Ch_(3)O-as critical intermediates play an important role in selective CO_(2) reduction to generate Ch_(4).Furthermore,CDs with superior photoabsorption can boost the electron transfer and absorb h^(+),thus improving the integration of h^(+)and CO_(2) ***,this work emphasizes a facile strategy to achieve efficient CO_(2)-to-Ch_(4) conversion based on construction of CDs-based heterojunction catalysts.
