Genome-wide prediction for hybrids between parents with distinguished difference on exotic introgressions in Brassica napus

Extensive exotic introgression could significantly enlarge the genetic distance of hybrid parental populations to promote strong *** goal of this study was to investigate whether genome-wide prediction can support pre-breeding in populations with exotic *** evaluated seed yield,seed yield related traits and seed quality traits of 363 hybrids of Brassica napus (AACC) derived from two parental populations divergent on massive exotic introgression of related species in three *** hybrids presented strong heterosis on seed yield,which was much higher than other investigated *** genomic best linear unbiased prediction models considering the exotic introgression and different marker effects (additive,dominance,and epistatic effects) were constructed to test the prediction ability for different traits of the *** analysis showed that the trait complexity,exotic introgression,genetic relationship between the training set and testing set,training set size,and environments affected the prediction *** models with best prediction ability for different traits ***,relatively high prediction ability (e.g.,0.728 for seed yield) was also observed when the simplest models were used,excluding the effects of the special exotic introgression and epistasis effect by5-fold cross validation,which would simplify the prediction for the trait with complex architecture for hybrids with exotic *** results provide novel insights and strategies for genome-wide prediction of hybrids between genetically distinct parent groups with exotic introgressions.

目的:测试幽默风格量表在中国大学生中的信度和效度,探讨幽默风格与精神健康之间的关系。方法:354名大学生接受幽默风格量表和症状自评量表(SCL-90)的问卷调查,4周后74名大学生重新填写幽默风格量表。结果:幽默风格量表所提出的4个因子结构在中国人的样本中也存在,该量表的信度和效度可接受。中国被试在4个子量表的得分均低于加拿大被试的得分。亲和型幽默、自强型幽默得分与症状自评量表的子量表以及总体症状指数得分全部呈现负相关,而嘲讽型幽默和自贬型幽默得分与症状自评量表的子量表以及总体症状指数得分全部呈现正相关。结论:(1)该量表的初步测试效度和信度可接受,但须结合中国文化作进一步的修订;(2)亲和型和自强型幽默有益于精神健康,但嘲讽型和自贬型幽默有害于精神健康;(3)中国人与加拿大人在幽默风格、幽默对精神健康起作用的方式上存在一定的文化差异。

本研究探讨即时反馈和延时反馈对于不同英语水平的学习者来说其有效性是否存在差异。研究对象为120名中学生,研究者根据期中考试的成绩将其分为高水平组和低水平组,每个水平组又细分为四个组:即时反馈组、延时反馈组、交际性任务组和控制组。三个实验组的学习者完成两个听写重述任务(dictogloss task),目标结构为过去时被动语态。在各试验组完成任务过程中,任课教师对于其语言表达中有关目标结构的错误,分别提供即时反馈,延时反馈,零反馈;控制组的学生只参加前测和后测。结果表明:(1)即时反馈比对低水平学生有效,而延时反馈对低水平学生无效;(2)即时反馈和延时反馈对高水平学生同样有效;(3)交际性任务有助于高水平学生的二语发展,但是对低水平学生没有效果。这些结果显示了即时反馈的优越性,以及交际性任务对于高水平学生二语发展的促进作用。我们认为两种反馈效果的差异主要源于它们对于学习者的认知要求不同,而非纠错时间。

目的:了解应对幽默量表在我国大学生中的测试情况,比较中国人和加拿大人使用应对幽默方式的差别,探讨应对幽默与心理健康之间的关系。方法:354名大学生接受应对幽默量表和症状自评量表的问卷调查。结果:应对幽默量表在大学生中的内部一致性系数(Cronbach alpha)为0.65,重测信度为0.79。去掉项目4的应对幽默量表的内部一致性系数达0.70,初步测试效度和信度可接受。男生比女生较多使用应对幽默。与加拿大学生相比,中国大学生较少使用应对幽默。结论:去掉项目4后的该量表在中国可使用,但可考虑作进一步的修订;应对幽默的使用具有一定的跨文化差异。

International pressure to revalue China’s currency stems in part from the expectation that rapid economic growth should be associated with an underlying real *** rate *** hinges on the Balassa-Samuelson hypothesis,which sees growth as stemming from improvements in traded sector productivity and associated rises in wages and non-traded prices. Yet,despite extraordinary growth after the mid-1990s China’s real exchange rate showed no tendency to appreciate until after *** use a dynamic general equilibrium model to simulate the economy and show that,during this period,trade reforms and a rising national saving rate were offsetting forces in the presence of elastic labour *** then examine the possible determinants of the striking transition to real appreciation thereafter,noting mounting evidence that an improved rural terms of trade has tightened China’s labour *** show that,should the Chinese government bow to international pressure by appreciating the renminbi either via an extraordinary monetary contraction or via export disincentives the consequences would be harmful for both Chinese and global interests.

Reduced nitrogen availability during growth improves quality in red oak lettuce leaves by minimizing nitrate content, and increasing antioxidant capacity and leaf mineral content

Overuse of N in lettuce production can lead to environmental problems caused by leaching and the accumulation of harmful nitrates in edible tissues. This study investigated the effect of applied nitrogen (N) concentrations between 40 and 2400 mg·L–1 on growth, nitrate accumulation, mineral leaf content, and antioxidant capacity in Oak Leaf lettuce cv. “Shiraz” grown under hydroponic conditions in Australia. Yield (g FW) increased with nitrogen (N) application rate up to 1200 mg·L–1, as did leaf N content, while C:N declined. Nitrogen Utilization Efficiency (NUtE) increased rapidly from 40 to 75 mg·L–1 applied N, leveling at 150 mg·L–1 with no subsequent effect of N concentrations between 400 and 2400 mg·L–1. Nitrate content rose significantly with increased N, particularly at 1200 and 2400 mg·L–1. Leaf total plant phenolic content (TPP) and antioxidant capacity (measured by ferric reducing antioxidant power—FRAP) were both maximal at 75 and 400 mg·L–1 applied N, while highest oxygen radical absorption capacity (ORAC) values were found in leaves supplied with low N (40 to 400 mg·L–1). Applied N as calcium nitrate also significantly affected leaf mineral content as B, Mg, Mn, and Zn significantly decreased with increasing N. These results indicate that N applications of 1200 mg·L–1 or higher can result in reduced antioxidant capacity and mineral content in lettuce leaves.
