Four-wheel independently driven electric vehicles(FWID-EV)endow a flexible and scalable control framework to improve vehicle *** paper integrates the torque vectoring and active suspension system(ASS)to enhance the vehicle’s longitudinal and vertical motion control *** the nonlinear characteristic of the tire model leads to a relatively heavier computational *** facilitate the controller design and ease the load,a half-vehicle dynamics system is built and simplified to the linear-time-varying(LTV)*** a model predictive controller is developed by formulating the objective function by comprehensively considering the safety,energy-saving and comfort *** in-wheel motor efficiency and the power loss of tire slip are treated as optimization indices in this work to reduce energy ***,the effectiveness of the proposed controller is verified through the rapid-control-prototype(RCP)*** results demonstrate the enhancement of the energy-saving as well as comfort on the basis of vehicle stability.

Poly(diethyl fumarate-co-methoxyethyl acrylate-co-vinyl chloroacetate)(PDEFMV),a novel bio-based elastomer with a saturated structure,was synthesized via redox emulsion *** glass-transition temperatures of PDEFMV,adjusted through the variation of the diethyl fumarate-to-methoxyethyl acrylate feeding ratio,ranged from-36.1 to-14.8 ℃.The number-average molecular weights of PDEFMV ranged from 384,000 to 46,000 g/*** designing the molecular structure,vinyl chloroacetate was used to provide active sites for subsequent vulcanization and *** active chlorine groups within the PDEFMV chain reacted with the crosslinking agent trithiocyanuric acid under high temperature and pressure to form a nonsulfur crosslinked three-dimensional network *** achieve the desired properties,carbon black(CB,N330) was incorporated to reinforce PDEFMV,leading to the formation of PDEFMV/CB composites.A comprehensive study was conducted on the high-temperature oil resistance of PDEFMV/CB *** immersion in IRM903 oil at temperatures of 150 and 200 ℃ for 72 h,the mass and volume changes in PDEFMV/CB were lower than those observed in commercially available acrylate rubber(AR)/CB,indicating that PDEFMV exhibited superior oil ***,the aging characteristics and mechanisms of oil resistance in the PDEFMV/CB and AR/CB composites were investigated at different temperatures(150,200,and 250 ℃).The results provide insights into the operational temperature ranges suitable for PDEFMV/CB and offer valuable guidance for potential industrial applications.

The extremely high structural tolerance of ceria to oxygen vacancies(Ov)has made it a desirable catalytic material for the hydrocarbon oxidation to chemicals and pharmaceuticals and the reduction of gaseous *** is proposed that the formation and diffusion of Ov originate from its outstanding reduction ***,the formation and diffusion process of Ov over the surface of ceria at the atomic level is still ***,the structural and valence evolution of CeO_(2)(111)surfaces in reductive,oxidative and vacuum environments from room temperature up to 700℃was studied with in situ aberration-corrected environmental transmission electron microscopy(ETEM)*** is found to form under a high vacuum at elevated temperatures;however,the surface can recover to the initial state through the adsorption of oxygen atoms in an oxygen-contained ***,in hydrogen environment,the step-CeO_(2)(111)surface is not stable at elevated temperatures;thus,the steps tend to be eliminated with increasing *** with first-principles density function calculations(DFT),it is proposed that O-terminated surfaces would develop in a hypoxic environment due to the dynamic diffusion of Ov from the outer surface to the ***,in a reductive environment,H2 facilitates the formation and diffusion of Ov while Ce-terminated surfaces *** results reveal dynamic atomic-scale interplay between the nanoceria surface and gas,thereby providing fundamental insights into the Ov-dependent reaction of nano-CeO_(2) during catalytic processes.

Deep Learning in Predicting Preterm Birth: A Comparative Study of Machine Learning Algorithms

Objective: To determine whether deep learning algorithms are suitable for predicting preterm ***: A retrospective study was conducted at Peking University Third Hospital from January 2018 to June 2023. Birth data were divided into two parts based on the date of delivery: the first part was used for model training and validation, while real world viability was evaluated using the second part. Four machine learning algorithms (logistic regression, random forest, support vector machine, and transformer) were employed to predict preterm birth. Receiver operating characteristic curves were plotted, and the area under the curve (AUC), sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value (PPV), negative predictive value (NPV), and accuracy were ***: This research included data on 30,965 births, where 24,770 comprised the first part, and included 3164 (12.77%) in the preterm birth group, with 6195 in the second part, including 795 (12.83%) in the preterm birth group. Significant differences in various factors were observed between the preterm and full-term birth groups. The transformer model (AUC = 79.20%, sensitivity = 73.67%, specificity = 72.48%, PPV = 28.21%, NPV = 94.95%, and accuracy = 72.61 % in the test dataset) demonstrated superior performance relative to logistic regression (AUC = 77.96% in the test dataset), support vector machine (AUC = 71.70% in the test dataset), and random forest (AUC = 75.09% in the test dataset) ***: This study highlights the promise of deep learning algorithms, specifically the transformer algorithm, for predicting preterm birth.

Single-molecule localization microscopy(SMLM)enables three-dimensional(3D)investigation of nanoscale structures in biological samples,offering unique insights into their ***,traditional 3D super-resolution microscopy using high numerical aperture(NA)objectives is limited by imaging depth of field(DOF),restricting their practical application to relatively thin biological ***,we developed a unified solution for thick sample super-resolution imaging using a deformable mirror(DM)which served for fast remote focusing,optimized point spread function(PSF)engineering,and accurate aberration *** effectively correcting the system aberrations introduced during remote focusing and sample aberrations at different imaging depths,we achieved high-accuracy,large DOF imaging(~8μm)of the whole-cell organelles[i.e.,nuclear pore complex(NPC),microtubules,and mitochondria]with a nearly uniform resolution of approximately 35 nm across the entire cellular volume.

Stable water isotopes are natural tracers quantifying the contribution of moisture recycling to local precipitation,i.e.,the moisture recycling ratio,but various isotope-based models usually lead to different results,which affects the accuracy of local moisture *** this study,a total of 18 stations from four typical areas in China were selected to compare the performance of isotope-based linear and Bayesian mixing models and to determine local moisture recycling *** the three vapor sources including advection,transpiration,and surface evaporation,the advection vapor usually played a dominant role,and the contribution of surface evaporation was less than that of *** the abnormal values were ignored,the arithmetic averages of differences between isotope-based linear and the Bayesian mixing models were 0.9%for transpiration,0.2%for surface evaporation,and–1.1%for advection,respectively,and the medians were 0.5%,0.2%,and–0.8%,*** importance of transpiration was slightly less for most cases when the Bayesian mixing model was applied,and the contribution of advection was relatively *** Bayesian mixing model was found to perform better in determining an efficient solution since linear model sometimes resulted in negative contribution *** test with two isotope scenarios indicated that the Bayesian model had a relatively low sensitivity to the changes in isotope input,and it was important to accurately estimate the isotopes in precipitation ***,the Bayesian mixing model should be recommended instead of a linear *** findings are useful for understanding the performance of isotope-based linear and Bayesian mixing models under various climate backgrounds.
