Economic effect of China's carbon neutrality target under shared socioeconomic pathways

Economic feasibility is crucial for achieving the carbon neutrality target. However, current integrated assessments often underes.imate the economic impacts of mitigation policies due to the lack of consideration of their economic benefits. This study integrates a warming-labour productivity model with a typical integrated assessment model using shared socioeconomic pathways. it simulates China's economic development and carbon emis.ion levels under both baseline and carbon-neutral policy scenarios, evaluating the economic costs and benefits of emis.ion reduction policies aimed at achieving carbon neutrality. These findings reveal the following:(1) The economic costs of emis.ion reduction policies are projected to peak between 2050 and 2060, ranging from 0.41% to 9.37% of total GDP in the baseline scenario, primarily due to increased energy prices and R&D investments. These costs are expected to decline rapidly after 2070.(2) China's carbon-neutral policies will mitigate global warming, with the economic benefits of mitigation projected to reach 5.65% to 17.24% of China's total GDP by 2100.(3) Lowcarbon scenarios ssP1 and ssP4 could significantly reduce initial economic costs and advance the onset of net economic gains to 2060. This.integrated assessment confirms that China's carbon neutrality target offers substantial net economic benefits.in the long term. To minimize initial economic costs, efforts should focus on enhancing consumption-side transitions, upgrading lowcarbon technologies, and adopting new energy sources.

Electrical energy is essential for modern society to sustain economic *** soaring demand for the electrical energy,together with an awareness of the environmental impact of fos.il fuels,has been driving a s.ift towards the utilization of solar ***,traditional solar energy solutions often require extensive spaces for a panel installation,limiting their practicality in a dense urban *** overcome the spatial constraint,researchers have developed transparent photovoltaics(TPV),enabling windows and facades.in vehicles and buildings to generate electric *** TPV advancements are focused on improving both transparency and power output to rival commercially available silicon solar *** this review,we first briefly introduce wavelength-and non-wavelengthselective strategies to achieve *** of merit and theoretical limits of TPVs are discussed to comprehensively understand the status of current TPV *** we highlight recent progress.in different types of TPVs,with a particular focus on solution-processed thin-film photovoltaics(PVs),including colloidal quantum dot PVs,metal halide perovs.ite PVs and organic *** applications of TPVs are also reviewed,with emphasis on agrivoltaics,smart windows and ***,current challenges and future opportunities.in TPV research are pointed out.

Comparative proteomic analysis of plasma exosomes reveals the functional contribution of N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase to Parkinson’s disease

Parkinson’s disease is the second most common progres.ive neurodegenerative disorder,and few reliable biomarkers are available to track disease *** proteins,DNA,mRNA,and lipids carried by exosomes reflect intracellular changes,and thus can serve as biomarkers for a variety of *** this study,we inves.igated alterations.in the protein content of plasma exosomes derived from patients with Parkinson’s disease and the potential therapeutic roles of these proteins.in Parkinson’s *** a tandem mass tag-based quantitative proteomics approach,we characterized the proteomes of plasma exosomes derived from individual patients.identified exosomal protein signatures specific to patients with Parkinson’s disease,and identified N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase as a differentially expressed protein.N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase expres.ion levels.in exosomes from the plasma of patients and healthy controls were validated by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay and western *** results demonstrated that the exosomal N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase concentration was not only lower in Parkinson’s disease,but also decreased with increasing Hoehn-Yahr stage,sugges.ing that N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase could be used to rapidly evaluate Parkinson’s disease ***,western blot and immunohistochemistry analysis showed that N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase levels were markedly reduced both in cells treated with 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium and cells overexpres.ingα-synuclein compared with control ***,N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase overexpres.ion significantly increased cell viability and inhibitedα-synuclein expres.ion in 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium-treated *** together,our findings demonstrate for the first time that exosomal N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase may serve as a biomarker for Parkinson’s disease diagnosis,and that N-acetyl-alpha-glucosaminidase may reduceα-synuclein expres.ion and 1-methyl-4-phenylpyridinium-induced n

Experimental Research on a Feasible Building insulation Material Based Reed in China

The seemingly useless reeds are prepared as thermal insulation materials,which not only meet the requirements of environmental sustainability but also enhance the added value of reeds,creating new economic *** hydrophobicity of raw biomass surfaces leads to problems such as weak bonding strength and non-dense structure in the formed materials,as well as.issues related to the residual insect infestations on the *** this study,reed straw was used as the raw material,and foamed geopolymer was used as the binder to prepare building insulation materials based *** improve the interfacial adhesion performance between reed straw and foamed geopolymer,a thermochemical modification method-thermal carbonization,was *** this study,the mechanical properties and hydraulic properties of the studied materials with different degrees of surface thermal modification were tested,especially the fire resistance performance,and weathering resistance performance rarely found in published *** the surface thermal modification condition of reed straw was 250℃（30 min）,the comprehensive performance of reed-based building insulation materials was the best,when the studied material density was 321.3 kg/m3;the compres.ive strength was 0.59 MPa;the thermal conductivity was 0.101 W/（m·K）;the pH was 11.27;the moisture absorption rate was 25.1%,and the compres.ive strength loss rate in wet-dry cycles was 18.5%.in addition,it had excellent fire resistance performance and weathering resistance *** new material can be widely used to improve the thermal insulation of traditional buildings and as sandwich filler in prefabricated buildings,such as preparing insulating walls.

Oxidation Resistance of Form-stable Hightemperature Phase Change Thermal Energy storage Materials Doped by impregnated Graphite

We adopted the solution impregnation route with aluminum dihydrogen phosphate solution as liquid medium for effective surface modification on graphite *** mass ratio of graphite to Al(H_(2)PO_(4))_(3) changed from 0.5:1 to 4:1,and the impregnation time changed from 1 to 7 *** typical composite phase change thermal storage materials doped with the as-treated graphite were fabricated using form-stable *** inves.igate the oxidation and anti-oxidation behavior of the impregnated graphite at high temperatures,the samples were put into a muffle furnace for a cyclic heat *** on sEM,EDs,DsC techniques,analyses on the impregnated technique suggested an optimized proces.ing conditions of a 3 h impregnation time with the ratio of graphite:Al(H_(2)PO_(4))_(3) as 1:3 for graphite impregnation *** inves.igations on high-temperature phase change heat storage materials doped by the treated graphite suggested excellent oxidation resistance and thermal cycling performance.

Mesh-supported V2O5-WO3/TiO2 nanosheet array catalysts for efficient removal of NOx

The design and synthesis of vanadium-based denitration catalysts with low-temperature activity pose significant challenges.in the field of toxic gas *** this study,we have developed a novel approach to fabricate highly efficient V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalysts for NOxreduction at low ***,TiO2nanosheets with strong adhesion and large surface area were grown on Ti mesh using plasma electrolytic oxidation technology and hydrothermal ***,super-small traces of WO3and V2O5active nano-species were subsequently deposited on TiO2nanosheets using the deposition-precipitation *** to traditional ceramic-based V2O5-WO3/TiO2catalysts,our V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalyst exhibits superior mechanical performance,excellent thermal conductivity,lower pressure drop,higher utilization of active components,and stronger synergis.ic ***,the V2O5-WO3/TiO2monolithic mesh catalysts exhibited excellent low-temperature catalytic activity with 98% of NOxconversion at 220℃,and remarkable long-term sO2tolerance and water resistance in the selective catalytic reduction（sCR） of NOxwith *** sCR reaction of tiny V2O5and WO3active species supported on TiO2nanosheets directly demonstrated to follow the Eley-Rideal mechanism by in situ infrared spectra.
