Peritoneal cavernous hemangiomatosis:A case report

BACKGROUND Cavernous hemangiomatosis in the liver and spleen has been reported, but it occurs less commonly in the peritoneum. Here we report a case of peritoneal cavernous hemangiomatosis and share some valuable information about this *** SUMMARY A 57-year-old Chinese man had a huge abdominal mass with abdominal distention and a significant reduction of food consumption. An enhanced abdominal and pelvic computed tomography and positron emission tomography–computed tomography revealed multiple cystic masses on the peritoneum, greater omentum, small intestinal mesentery and the surface of the spleen, and a high maximum standardized uptake value of the largest cystic lesion. Exploratory laparotomy was performed, and multiple cystic masses were found on the surface of the peritoneum, greater omentum, mesentery of the small intestine, and surface of the liver and spleen. Dark red bloody cystic fluid was present in the cystic tumor. Pathological examination showed that in the stromal components, the irregular vascular wall was thin. The vessel lumen was interlinked, and the lumen was lined with flat endothelium. According to the intraoperative findings and pathologic results, the patient was diagnosed with peritoneal cavernous *** The possibility of peritoneal cavernous hemangiomatosis should be considered when multiple cystic masses are found in the abdominal cavity by preoperative examination.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is one of the most common forms of neurodegenerative *** etiology of AD is multifactorial,and its complex pathophysiology involves tau and amyloid-βdeposition,increased oxidative stress,neuroinflammation,metabolic disorders,and massive neuronal *** to its complex pathology,no effective cure for AD has been found to ***,there is an unmet clinical need for the development of new drugs against *** products are known to be good sources of compounds with pharmacological activity and have potential for the development of new therapeutic ***,a naturally occurring flavanone glycoside,is predominantly found in citrus fruits and Chinese medicinal *** evidence shows that naringin and its aglycone,naringenin,have direct neuroprotective effects on AD,such as anti-amyloidogenic,antioxidant,anti-acetylcholinesterase,and anti-neuroinflammatory effects,as well as metal ***,they are known to improve disordered glucose/lipid metabolism,which is a high risk factor for *** this review,we summarize the latest data on the impact of naringin and naringenin on the molecular mechanisms involved in AD ***,we provide an overview of the current clinical applications of naringin and *** novel delivery systems for naringin and naringenin,which can address their widespread pharmacokinetic limitations,are also *** literature indicates that naringin and naringenin could be multilevel,multitargeted,and multifaceted for preventing and treating AD.

In our previous work,we developed a computational tool,PreK-ClassK-ClassKv,to predictand classify potassium (K~+) *** K+ channel prediction (PreK) and classification at family level(ClassK),this method performs ***,it does not perform so well in classifying voltage-gatedpotassium (Kv) channels (ClassKv).In this paper,a new method based on the local sequence information ofKv channels is introduced to classify Kv *** transmembrane domains of a Kv channel protein areused to define a protein,and the dipeptide composition technique is used to transform an amino acid sequenceto a numerical sequence.A Kv channel protein is represented by a vector with 2000 elements,and a supportvector machine algorithm is applied to classify Kv *** method shows good performance withaverages of total accuracy (Acc),sensitivity (SE),specificity (SP),reliability (R) and Matthews correlationcoefficient (MCC) of 98.0%,89.9%,100%,0.95 and 0.94 *** results indicate that the localsequence information-based method is better than the global sequence information-based method to classifyKv channels.

The alumina solubility in the title system within the composition range of KR{m（K3AlF6）/[m（K3AlF6）＋ m（Na3AlF6）]} 10%―50%, a ternary Na3AlF6-K3AlF6-AlF3 molten system with 23%―29%（mass fraction） AlF3 was investigated by measuring the mass loss of a rotating sintered corundum disc. And the following empirical equation was derived when superheat degree was no more than 60 °C： w（Al2O3）sat=A×（T/1000）B, where A= –1.85774＋ 26.754234w（AlF3）–0.3683–0.00783KR2.363＋0.010266KR2.3048＋0.7902w（AlF3）0.00652, B=112.4625–53.2567w（AlF3）0.4236＋ 5.1079w（AlF3）0.9241＋0.01542w（AlF3）1.3540. Considering both higher alumina solubility and not too high superheat de gree are required, alumina solubility of different compositions at not the same temperature but the same superheat degree was studied, which will be more industrial helpful for selecting prospective compositions. The results show that the composition deserved to be further tested in lower temperature cells is 10%―30% KR and 23%―26%（mass fraction） AlF3.

Correlation between the rock mass properties and maximum horizontal stress:A case study of overcoring stress measurements

Understanding the mechanical properties of the lithologies is crucial to accurately determine the horizontal stress *** investigate the correlation between the rock mass properties and maximum horizontal stress,the three-dimensional(3D)stress tensors at 89 measuring points determined using an improved overcoring technique in nine mines in China were adopted,a newly defined characteristic parameter C_(ERP)was proposed as an indicator for evaluating the structural properties of rock masses,and a fuzzy relation matrix was established using the information distribution *** results indicate that both the vertical stress and horizontal stress exhibit a good linear growth relationship with *** is no remarkable correlation between the elastic modulus,Poisson's ratio and depth,and the distribution of data points is scattered and ***,there is no obvious relationship between the rock quality designation(RQD)and *** maximum horizontal stress σ_(H) is a function of rock properties,showing a certain linear relationship with the C_(ERP)at the same *** addition,the overall change trend of σ_(H) determined by the established fuzzy identification method is to increase with the increase of C_(ERP).The fuzzy identification method also demonstrates a relatively detailed local relationship betweenσ_H and C_(ERP),and the predicted curve rises in a fluctuating way,which is in accord well with the measured stress data.

In biological neural systems, noise is ubiquitous but does not affect the correct decisions made in the complex cognitive ***-making in biological neural system is typically achieved by accumulating input information over a period of *** by recent developments in neurosciences, we design a decision-making module based on spintronic devices, utilizing superparamagnetic tunnel junctions as artificial neurons. The feasibility of this decision-making module is verified through circuit simulations. Taking a multi-layer perceptron as an example, the module significantly improves the accuracy of the perceptron in the handwritten digit recognition task. furthermore, the spintronic decision-making module offers advantages over the conventional pooling methods, such as adaptive decision time, high performance and the absence of analog-to-digital conversion. The decision-making module is flexible to be integrated into artificial neural networks and provides a general yet effective solution to enhance performance against device noise.

With the development of quantum computing technology, quantum public-key cryptography is gradually becoming an alternative to the existing classical public-key cryptography. This paper designs a quantum trapdoor one-way function via EPR pairs and quantum measurements. Based on this, a new quantum public-key cryptosystem is presented, which offers forward security,and can resist the chosen-plaintext attack and chosen-ciphertext attack. Compared with the existing quantum public-key cryptos,eavesdropping can be automatically detected in this new quantum public-key cryptosystem under a necessary condition, which is also detailed in the paper.

The separation-of-variable(SOV)methods,such as the improved SOV method,the variational SOV method,and the extended SOV method,have been proposed by the present authors and coworkers to obtain the closed-form analytical solutions for free vibration and eigenbuckling of rectangular plates and circular cylindrical *** taking the free vibration of rectangular thin plates as an example,this work presents the theoretical framework of the SOV methods in an instructive way,and the bisection–based solution procedures for a group of nonlinear eigenvalue ***,the explicit equations of nodal lines of the SOV methods are presented,and the relations of nodal line patterns and frequency orders are *** is concluded that the highly accurate SOV methods have the same accuracy for all frequencies,the mode shapes about repeated frequencies can also be precisely captured,and the SOV methods do not have the problem of missing roots as well.
