Quantitative characterization of fusion state of virgin and aged asphalt using nano-ferrous ferric oxide tracer

The exact evaluation of the fusion rate of virgin and aged asphalt is essential to optimize the performance of the recycled asphalt *** fusion rate index was developed by tracing the distribution of tracer asphalt,which contains nano-ferrous ferric oxide(nano-Fe_(3)O_(4))*** fusion simulation tests were performed on three types of asphalt to obtain different fusion states,and fatigue tests were performed to evaluate the influence of the fusion rate on the fatigue life of the recycled *** was found that the tracer asphalt containing 4%nano-Fe_(3)O_(4)shows the optimal trace effect,and the developed fusion rate index can quantitatively characterize the influence of different factors on the fusion state of the recycled *** fusion state is closely related to the fatigue performance of recycled asphalt,and the fusion rate index can fairly evaluate its fatigue *** relationship between the fusion rate and the fatigue life of recycled asphalt depends on the factors that cause the fusion rate *** the influence of the amount of rejuvenator,the fatigue life of recycled asphalt grows exponentially with increasing fusion rate due to enhancement of molecular motion as well as a supplement of lightweight *** the influence of heat preservation treatment,fatigue life increases linearly with increasing fusion *** proposed fusion rate index can be utilized to quantitatively characterize the fusion state of virgin and aged asphalt,thus providing a simple way to guide the practical application of recycled asphalt.

Organic compounds represent an appealing group of electrode materials for rechargeable batteries due to their merits of biomass,sustainability,environmental friendliness,and *** terephthalate(Na_(2)C_(8)H_(4)O_(4),Na_(2)TP),an organic salt with a theoretical capacity of 255 mAh·g^(-1),is electroactive towards both lithium and ***,its electrochemical energy storage(EES)process has not been directly observed via in situ characterization techniques and the underlying mechanisms are still under ***,in situ Raman spectroscopy was employed to track the de/lithiation and de/sodiation processes of *** appearance and then disappearance of the–COOli Raman band at 1625 cm^(-1) during the de/lithiation,and the increase and then decrease of the–COONa Raman band at 1615 cm^(-1) during the de/sodiation processes of Na2TP elucidate the one-step with the 2li+or 2Na+transfer *** also found that the inferior cycling stability of Na2TP as an anode for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs)than lithium-ion batteries(liBs)could be due to the larger ion radium of Na+than li+,which results in larger steric resistance and polarization during *** Na2TP,therefore,shows greater changes in spectra during de/sodiation than de/*** expect that our findings could provide a reference for the rational design of organic compounds for EES.

Burrs generated during the machining of Aramid-Fiber-Reinforced Composites(AFRPs)pose a challenge for the production efficiency of aircraft and helicopter housing *** studies have generally attempted to suppress burrs by referring to delamination suppression *** contrast to stratification,burrs are remediable machining *** such,a mechanochemical method with burrs trimming technological strategy are implemented to effectively combat ***,we clarify the mechanism by which aramid fibers cannot be cut off using analytical and numerical *** addition,the mechanism of fiber fracture with Modified Polyurethane Reactive Polymer(M-PUR),and development of anti-burr devices(thermostatic adhesive sealed generator)are ***,the experimental results show that the reduction rate in burr length is 87%-91%through the mechanochemical *** method not only opens a new avenue to solve the burr problem of aramid fibers but also builds an interdisciplinary bridge between polymer science and composite machining.

Development and validation of a model integrating clinical and coronary lesion-based functional assessment for longterm risk prediction in PCI patients

OBJECTIVES To establish a scoring system combining the ACEF score and the quantitative blood flow ratio(QFR) to improve the long-term risk prediction of patients undergoing percutaneous coronary intervention(PCI).METHODS In this population-based cohort study, a total of 46 features, including patient clinical and coronary lesion characteristics, were assessed for analysis through machine learning models. The ACEF-QFR scoring system was developed using 1263consecutive cases of CAD patients after PCI in PANDA Ⅲ trial database. The newly developed score was then validated on the other remaining 542 patients in the *** In both the Random Forest Model and the Deep Surv Model, age, renal function(creatinine), cardiac function(LVEF)and post-PCI coronary physiological index(QFR) were identified and confirmed to be significant predictive factors for 2-year adverse cardiac events. The ACEF-QFR score was constructed based on the developmental dataset and computed as age(years)/EF(%) + 1(if creatinine ≥ 2.0 mg/d L) + 1(if post-PCI QFR ≤ 0.92). The performance of the ACEF-QFR scoring system was preliminarily evaluated in the developmental dataset, and then further explored in the validation dataset. The ACEF-QFR score showed superior discrimination(C-statistic = 0.651;95% CI: 0.611-0.691, P libration(Hosmer–Lemeshow χ^(2)= 7.070;P = 0.529) for predicting 2-year patient-oriented composite endpoint(POCE). The good prognostic value of the ACEF-QFR score was further validated by multivariable Cox regression and Kaplan–Meier analysis(adjusted HR = 1.89;95% CI: 1.18–3.04;log-rank P linical and coronary lesion-based functional variables(ACEF-QFR)was developed, and its ability for prognostic prediction in patients with PCI was further validated to be signi

Energy consumption optimization for edge computing-supported cellular networks based on optimal transport theory

With advancements in mobile communication technologies, there have been multiple user device(UD) connections to cellular networks. Because of changes in the spatial distribution of UDs and application requirements, the traditional offloading mechanism based on the nearest distance will result in heavy loads for some base stations(BSs). Because there is a high-order relationship between the energy consumption of the BS processing tasks and the number of computing tasks, the traditional offloading mechanism will result in high energy consumption, and UD’s offloading decision must be dynamically adjusted. The offloading decision of UDs is optimized based on detailed information about various parameters associated with a network from the standpoint of distribution. This information includes details regarding the spatial distribution of UDs,application requirements, and the offloading period of computing tasks. Based on optimal transport theory,an energy consumption optimization algorithm is suggested to lower the total amount of energy consumed by the offloading process of UDs’ computing tasks by reasonably planning the offloading BSs of the UDs in the networks. The simulation results show that the proposed offloading mechanism based on energy consumption optimization reduces the total energy consumption of the offloading process by 28.09% when compared to the traditional offloading mechanism, and the traffic managed by each BS is balanced.

Numerical study on the effective thermal conductivity and thermal tortuosity of porous media with different morphologies

Effective thermal conductivity and thermal tortuosity are crucial parameters for evaluating the effectiveness of heat conduction within porous *** direct pore-scale numerical simulation method is applied to investigate the heat conduction processes inside porous structures with different *** thermal conduction performances of idealized porous structures are directly compared with real foams across a wide range of *** foam structures are reconstructed using X-ray computed tomography and image processing techniques,while Kelvin and Weaire-Phelan structures are generated through periodic unit cell *** detailed temperature fields inside the porous structures are determined by solving the heat conduction equation at the pore *** results present that the equivalent thermal conductivity of Kelvin and Weaire-Phelan structures is similar to and greater than that of the real foam structure with the same strut *** thermal tortuosity of real foam structure is relatively larger and the heat conduction path becomes straighter by adopting the anisotropic *** thermal tortuosity of the fluid channels for Kelvin,Weaire-Phelan,and real foam structures is close to *** thermal conductivity of porous structures with heat transfer fluid increases as the thermal conductivity ratio of fluid to solid becomes larger.A small porosity of porous media leads to a larger equivalent thermal conductivity due to the dominant contribution of porous skeleton in the heat conduction *** derived from parallel and series models,as well as the Maxwell-Eucken models,provide decent predictions of effective thermal conductivity,with an average error of less than 8%in the entire range of thermal conductivity ratio.

The characteristics and sensitivity of solidification cracks in peritectic steels were investigated using directional solidifi-cation *** cracks were observed in both hypoperitectic steels(12CrlMoV,15CrMo)and hyper-peritectic steel(20CrMo)during solidification at growth velocities of 15,50,and 80 pm/*** the dendritic boundaries,sulphide precipitates were found,promoting crack *** on the statistical analysis of interdendritic cracks in peritectic steels,the area ratio(RA)of interdendritic cracks in a directional solidification structure was proposed to evaluate the crack sensitivity of peritectic ***,the crack sensitivities of peritectic steels(12CrlMoV,15CrMo,and 20CrMo)were tested,evaluated,and compared with the surface crack rates of three types of steels produced from a steel *** results demonstrated that RA was in good agreement with that of the steel plant,and the crack sensitivity of 12CrlMoV steel was the strongest,followed by that of 15CrMo and 20CrMo ***,RA can be used to evaluate the crack sensitivity of peritectic steel.
