Cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS)lines play a crucial role in utilization of heterosis in crop ***,the mechanism underlying the manipulation of male sterility in cotton by long non-coding RNA(lncRNA)and brassinosteroids(BRs)remains ***,using an integrative approach combining lncRNA transcriptomic profiles with virus-induced gene silencing experiments,we identify a flower budspecific lncRNA in the maintainer line 2074B,lncRNA67,negatively modulating with male sterility in upland cotton(Gossypium hirsutum).lncRNA67positively regulates cytochrome P274B(GhCYP724B),which acted as an eTM(endogenous target mimic)for *** suppression of GhCYP724B induced symptoms of BR deficiency and male semisterility in upland cotton as well as in tobacco,which resulted from a reduction in the endogenous BR ***724B regulates BRs synthesis by interacting with GhDIM and GhCYP90B,two BRs biosynthesis ***,GhCYP724B suppressed a unique chimeric open reading frame(Aorf27)in 2074A mitochondrial *** expression of Aorf27 in yeast inhibited cellular growth,and over expression of Aorf27 in tobacco showed male ***,the results proved that the miR3367–lncRNA67–GhCYP724B module positively regulates male sterility by modulating BRs *** findings uncovered the function of lncRNA67–GhCYP724B in male sterility,providing a new mechanism for understanding male sterility in upland cotton.

Endometrial Mucin-1 and Pinopode in Peri-implantation Phase in Ovarian High Responders during Controlled Ovarian Hyperstimulation Cycles

Objective To investigate effects of ovarian high response on endometrial mucin-1 （MUC1） and pinopode in peri-implantation phase in controlled ovarian hyperstimulation （COH） cycles. Methods Ovarian high response was defined as serum E2 〉 15 000 pmol/L on the day of hCG administration in COH cycle using GnRH agonist and recombinant FSH （n=8）. Healthy and fertile women were used as the natural control （n=10）. Endometrial biopsies were performed on the day of LH＋ 7/hCG＋ 7. Pinopode formation was observed by scanning electron microscope. Expression of MUC1 was detected with quantitative Real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry. Results In high response group, the lumen surface was covered with variant pinopodes and microvillous. The expression of MUC1 mRNA in high response group was lower than that in the natural control （P〈0.05）. Immunostaining for MUC1 protein in glandular and luminal epithelium in high response group was lower than that in the natural control （P〈0. 05）. Conclusion Asynchronized pinopode appearance and lower expression of MUC1 during peri-implantation period were the characteristics of endometrium in high response group, Which may provide a clue of decreased endometrial receptivity in the supraphysiological hormone milieu.

Characterization of size-resolved aerosol hygroscopicity and liquid water content in nanjing of the Yangtze River Delta

Aerosol hygroscopicity and liquid water content(ALWC)have important influences on the environmental and climate effect of *** this study,we measured the hygroscopic growth factors(GF)of particles with dry diameters of 40,80,150,and 200 nm during the wintertime in *** the GF-derived hygroscopicity parameter(κ_(gf))and ALWC increased with particle size,but displayed differing diurnal variations,withκ_(gf)peaking around the midday,while ALWC peaking in the early ***,ammonium and oxygenated organic aerosols(OOA)were found as the chemical components mostly strongly correlated with ALWC.A closure study suggests that during midday photo-oxidation and nighttime high ALWC periods,theκof organic aerosols(κ_(org))was underestimated when using previous ***,we re-constructed parameterizations forκ_(org)and the oxidation level of organics for these periods,which indicates a higher hygroscopicity of photochemically formed OOA than the aqueous OOA,yet both being much higher than the generally assumed OOA ***,in a typical high ALWC episode,concurrently increased ALWC,nitrate,OOA as well as aerosol surface area and mass concentrations were observed under elevated ambient *** strongly indicates a coupled effect that the hygroscopic secondary aerosols,in particular nitratewith strong hygroscopicity,led to large increase in ALWC,which in turn synergistically boosted nitrate and OOA formation by heterogeneous/aqueous *** interaction may represent an important mechanism contributing to enhanced formation of secondary aerosols and rapid growth of fine particulate matter under relatively high RH conditions.

Giant submucosal lipoma located in the descending colon: A case report and review of the literature

Colonic lipoma is an uncommon tumor of the gastrointestinal tract. Most cases are asymptomatic, with a small tumor size, and do not need any special treatment. However, we encountered one patient with a giant submucosal lipoma, with a maximum diameter of 8.5 cm, which exhibited symptoms such as intermittent lower abdominal pain, changes in bowel habits with passage of fresh blood and mucus per rectum, abdominal distension, anorexia and weight loss. Unfortunately, the possibility of colonic malignancy could not be precluded and leffc hemicolectomy was planned. The exact diagnosis of this special case was accomplished by intraoperative pathology. In the end, local resection was performed instead of left hemicolectomy. To the best of our knowledge, colonic lipoma exceeding 8 cm in diameter has not been previously reported. We, therefore, present this case and discuss age and sex factors, clinical and histopathological findings, diagnostic methods and treatment by reviewing the available literature, to serve as a reminder that colonic lipoma can also exist in patients with significant symptoms. In addition, intraoperative pathology should be investigated in those doubtful cases, so as to guide the exact diagnosis and treatment plan.

Control of Corner Separation for a linear Compressor Cascade via Bionic Slanting Riblets at the Endwall

A new passive control approach,utilizing bionic slanting riblets,is employed to mitigate the flow close to the blade endwall in a linear cascade,and its effectiveness and mechanism in controlling corner separation are investigated through numerical *** slanting riblets are positioned at the endwall upstream of the cascade channel,and the influence of riblet height,yaw angle and relative position on the control of corner separation is *** findings indicate that the application of slanting riblets can efficiently counteract corner separation across the stable operational ***,the introduction of riblets with a height of merely 0.1 times the boundary layer thickness results in a significant reduction in total pressure loss by up to 14.53%,while simultaneously enhancing the static pressure coefficient by 21.74%.Flow analysis reveals that minute vortices produced within the riblet channels tend to coalesce,forming a potent large-scale vortex near the boundary layer's base *** phenomenon results in reduced additional losses compared to conventional vortex ***,the induced vortex promotes enhanced mixing between the mainstream flow and boundary layer,inhibiting the lateral displacement of low-energy fluids within the endwall boundary ***,this delays the onset of separation vortex formation and eliminates vortex rings in the corner region,ultimately enhancing the aerodynamic efficiency of the cascade.

4-Nitrophenol(4-NP),as a toxic and refractory pollutant,has generated significant concern due to its adverse ***,the potential toxic effects andmechanism remained *** this study,the reproduction,development,locomotion and reactive oxygen species(ROS)production of Caenorhabditis elegans were investigated to evaluate the 4-NP *** used metabolomics to assess the potential damage *** role of metabolites in mediating the relationship between 4-NP and phenotypes was examined by correlation and mediation analysis.4-NP(8 ng/L and 8μg/L)caused significant reduction of brood size,ovulation rate,total germ cells numbers,head thrashes and body bends,and an increase in ***,the oosperm numbers in uterus,body length and body width were decreased in 8μg/***,36 differential metabolites were enriched in the significant metabolic pathways,including lysine biosynthesis,β-alanine metabolism,tryptophan metabolism,pentose phosphate pathway,pentose and glucuronate interconversions,amino sugar and nucleotide sugar metabolism,starch and sucrose metabolism,galactose metabolism,propanoate metabolism,glycerolipid metabolism,and estrogen signaling *** mechanism of 4-NP toxicity was that oxidative stress caused by the perturbation of amino acid,which had effects on energy metabolism through disturbing carbohydrate and lipid metabolism,and finally affected the estrogen signaling pathway to exert toxic ***,correlation and mediation analysis showed glycerol-3P,glucosamine-6P,glucosamine-1P,UDP-galactose,L-aspartic acid,and uracilwere potential markers for the reproduction and glucose-1,6P2 for developmental *** results provided insight into the pathways involved in the toxic effects caused by 4-NP and developed potential biomarkers to evaluate 4-NP toxicity.

Objective To investigate the therapeutic effect of Xiangshao Granules(XSG)on post-stroke depression(PSD)and explore the underlying *** Forty-three C57BL/6J mice were divided into 3 groups:sham(n=15),PSD+vehicle(n=14),and PSD+XSG(n=14)groups according to a random number *** PSD models were constructed using chronic unpredictable mild stress(CUMS)after middle cerebral artery occlusion(MCAO).The sham group only experienced the same surgical operation,but without MACO and CUMS *** XSG group received XSG(60 mg/kg per day)by gavage for 4 *** mice in the sham and vehicle groups were given the same volume of 0.9%saline at the same *** body weight and behavior tests including open field test,sucrose preference test,tail suspension test,and elevated plus-maze test,were used to validate the PSD mouse ***-time fluorescence quantitative polymerase chain reaction(RT-qPCR),enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(EliSA),and immunofluorescence staining were used to evaluate the anti-inflammatory effects of *** potential molecular mechanisms were explored and verified through network pharmacology analysis,Nissl staining,Western blot,EliSA,and RT-qPCR,*** The body weight and behavior tests showed that MCAO combined with CUMS successfully established the PSD *** alleviated neuronal damage,reduced the expressions of pro-apoptotic proteins Caspase-3 and B-cell lymphoma-2(BCL-2)-associated X(BAX),and increased the expression of anti-apoptotic protein BCL-2 in PSD mice(Plial activation and the expressions of pro-inflammatory cytokines including tumor necrosis factor-α,interleukin(IL)-1β,and IL-6 via the toll-like receptor 4/nuclear factor kappa-B signaling pathway in PSD mice(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Furthermore,XSG decreased the expression of indoleamine 2,3-dioxygenase1(IDO1)and increased the concentration of 5-hydroxytryptamine in PSD mice(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion XSG could reverse
