Carbon dots are prepared and immobilized onto spherical SiO_2 through a one-step thermal oxidation and then decorated with metallothionein（MT）, a protein with high affinity towards thiophilic metals. The MT-carbon dots composites are characterized by means of FT-IR, SEM and TGA, giving rise to a MT loading amount of 823 μg g^（-1）. The adsorption of cadmium by the composites is a fast process and follows Langmuir model. In comparison with native SiO_2, a 2- and 2.4-folds improvement on the static and dynamic adsorption capacity of the composites for cadmium are obtained, respectively. Moreover,the adsorption efficiency is not affected by the presence of other metals. Finally, the composites are successfully applied for the removal of cadmium in a series of environmental water samples.

A new method to fabricate metal/conducting polymer composite nanowires is presented by taking silver/polypyrrole composite nanowires as an example. A silver （D-coordinated organogel as template was prepared firstly, and redox-polymerization of pyrrole took place on the gel fiber, giving product of silver/polypyrrole nanowires. The silver/polypyrrole nanowires were characterized by multiple techniques. This strategy could be carried out in one-step procedure at room temperature, and it proves the utility of coordinated organogels in template synthesis of polymer nanostructures.

The hierarchical metal-organic frameworks（MOFs）,such as Y（BTC）（H_2O）_6,are prepared with yttrium nitrate and benzene-1,3,5-tricarboxylic acid at room *** product is characterized by Fourier transform infrared（FT-IR）,X-ray diffraction（XRD）,scanning electron microscopy（SEM）and thermogravimetric analysis（TGA）.The Y（BTC）（H_2O）_6 particles are sufficiently rigid for performing solid phase extraction and they exhibit favorable selectivity toward the adsorption of *** adsorption behavior of hemoglobin onto the Y（BTC）（H_2O）_6 fits the Langmuir adsorption model with a theoretical adsorption capacity of 555.6 mg g *** adsorption efficiency of 87.7%for 100μg mL 1hemoglobin in 1 mL sample solution（at pH 6.0）is achieved with 0.40 mg Y（BTC）（H20）6.77.3%of the retained hemoglobin is readily recovered using a 0.5%（m/v）SDS solution as the stripping *** dichroism spectra indicated that the conformation of hemoglobin is maintained during the adsorption-desorption *** MOFs material is applied for the isolation of hemoglobin from human blood and the purity of the obtained hemoglobin is further verified by sodium dodecyl sulfate polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis（SDS-PAGE）.

Phosphorylation of protein klnases has profound effects on their activity and interaction with other proteins. Tyroslne phosphorylation was reported to be involved in various physiological processes in plants; however, no typical receptor tyrosine kinase has been isolated from plants thus far. Dual-specificity kinases are potentially responsible for the phosphorylation of both tyrosine and serine/threonine of target proteins. A cDNA clone encoding a putative dual-specificity protein kinase was isolated by screening the cDNA GAL4 activation domain （AD） fusion library of soybean （Glycine max L.）, and its entire length was obtained using 5＇-rapid ampUflcatlon of cDNA ends. The predicted polypeptide of 330 amino acid residues, designated as GmSTY1, contains all 11 conserved subdomains, which share common characteristics with both the serine/ threonine and tyroslne protein klnases reported thus far. In addition, three potential N-linked glycosylation sites （NXS/T）, as well as phosphorylation motifs （SXXXS/T）, were observed, suggesting that GmSTY1 may be post-translationally modified. Furthermore, a potential N-myristoylation motif （MGARCSK） was found, suggesting that the GmSTY1 protein could associate with membranes in vivo. Southern blotting analysis revealed a single-copy of GmSTY1 in the genome. Northern blotting analysis showed that this gene was upregulated by drought and salt treatment in a time-dependent manner; however, exogenous abscisic acid （ABA） could not significantly affect the mRNA accumulation of GmSTY1. Interestingly, the transcript of this gene was remarkably downregulated by cold treatment during the early stages of the response, but upregulated later. These results Indicate that the protein kinase was possibly regulated by abiotic stresses in an ABA-independent pathway.

Tuojiang River Basin is a first-class tributary of the upper reaches of the Yangtze River—which is the longest river in *** phytoplankton are sensitive indicators of trophic changes inwater bodies,characterizing phytoplankton communities and their growth influencing factors in polluted urban rivers can provide new ideas for pollution ***,we used direct microscopic count and environmental DNA(eDNA)metabarcoding methods to investigate phytoplankton community structure in Tuojiang River Basin(chengdu,Sichuan Province,China).The association between phytoplankton community structure and water environmental factors was evaluated by Mantel *** environmental monitoring data were used to pinpoint major factors that influenced phytoplankton growth based on structural equation *** the phylum level,the dominant phytoplankton taxa identified by the conventional microscopic method mainly belonged to Bacillariophyta,Chlorophyta,and Cyanophyta,in contrast with Chlorophyta,Dinophyceae,and Bacillariophyta identified by eDNA ***α-diversity analysis,eDNA metabarcoding detected greater species diversity and achieved higher precision than the microscopic *** growth was largely limited by phosphorus based on the nitrogen-to-phosphorus ratios>16:1 in all water *** analysis and structural equation modeling also confirmed that the nitrogen-to-phosphorus ratio was the principal factor influencing phytoplankton *** results could be useful for implementing comprehensive management of the river basin *** is recommended to control the discharge of point-and surface-source pollutants and the concentration of dissolved oxygen in areas with excessive nutrients(e.g.,Jianyang-Ziyang).Algae monitoring techniques and removal strategies should be improved in 201 Hospital,Hongrihe Bridge and Colmar Town areas.

Genome Analysis of the Bombyx mori Infectious Flacherie Virus Isolated in China

We reported here the complete genome of the Bombyx mori infectious flacherie virus （BmlFV）, BmlFV-CHN01, isolated in China and compared it with the Japanese strain IFV （BmIFV-JAN） sequence. BmIFV-JAN and BmIFV-CHN01 were 99% identical in nucleotide and amino acid sequences. The amino acid sequences of the three structural proteins （VP1, VP3 and VP4） and L protein were 100% identical between the two strains. Phylogenetic analyses based on conserved domains in RNA-dependent RNA polymerases （RdRps） by the neighbor-joining method showed that these two strains were from the same virus. The gain of the whole genome of the BmIFV isolated in China and its weak mutation character established a great foundation to the study of functional genome and the molecular epidemiology of BmIFV.

By combining experimental α-decay energies and half-lives, the α-particle preformation factor for nuclei around neutron magic numbers N of 126, 152, and 162 were extracted using the two-potential approach. The nuclei around the shell closure were more tightly bound than adjacent nuclei. Additionally, based on the WS4 mass model (Wang et al., Phys. Lett.B 734, 215 (2014)), we extended the two-potential approach to predict the α-decay half-lives of nuclei around N values of178 and 184 with Z of 119 and 120. We believe that our findings will serve as guidelines for future experimental studies.
