Undifferentiated high-grade pleomorphic sarcoma of the common bile duct:A case report and review of literature

BACKGROUND Undifferentiated pleomorphic sarcoma(UPS)is a rare malignant mesenchymal tumor with a poor *** mainly occurs in the extremities,trunk,head and neck,and retroperitoneum *** to the lack of specific clinical manifestations and imaging features,UPS diagnosis mainly depends on pathological and immunohistochemical examinations for exclusive *** we report an extremely rare case of high-grade UPS in the common bile duct(CBD).There are limited available data on such *** SUMMARY A 70-year-old woman was admitted to our department with yellow eyes and urine accompanied by upper abdominal distending pain for 2 *** laboratory data suggested significantly elevated hepatorenal function *** imaging data revealed calculous cholecystitis,intrahepatic and extrahepatic bile duct dilation with extrahepatic bile duct calculi,and a space-occupying lesion at the distal *** endoscopic biliary stenting and symptomatic support therapy,CBD exploration and biopsy were *** frozen section indicated malignant spindle cell tumor of the CBD mass,and further radical pancreaticoduodenectomy was ***,the neoplasm was diagnosed as a high-grade UPS combined with the light-microscopic morphology and immunohistochemical *** This extremely rare case highlighted the need for increasing physicians'vigilance,reducing the odds of misdiagnosis,and providing appropriate treatment strategies.

Prostaglandin E2(PGE2)has been reported to be involved in reproduction as one of the most abundant and widely distributed prostaglandins in *** gonad development and gamete production in mollusks can greatly assist artificial breeding,which is believed to promote the commercial benefits of various mollusk *** the present study,the contents of PGE2 in the gonads of abalone at different developmental stages(maturing stage,ripe stage,and spawning stage)and reproduction states(before and after spawning)were measured.A higher PGE2 level was found in the gonads of abalones at the ripe stage than other stages,and the highest PGE2 level was detected in the ovaries of female *** in the UV-stimulated *** the effects of PGE2 injection on the spawning efficiency were explored,and the gamete emission rates of female and male abalone were significantly increased after PGE2 *** qRT-PCR and in situ hybridization assay,higher expression levels and wide distribution of phospholipase A2(PLA2),cyclooxygenase 2(COX2),prostaglandin E synthases(PGES2),and prostaglandin E2 receptor 4(EP4)in the gonads of *** were observed after *** is speculated that PGE2 may promote the reproductive cycle in both male and female ***,although the regulation mechanism of PGE2 in female and male abalone might be *** results will be useful for the application of PGE2 in the abalone aquaculture practices to increase the reproduction efficiency in future.

The inadequacy of tactile perception systems in humanoid robotic manipulators limits the breadth of available robotic ***,we designed a multifunctional flexible tactile sensor for robotic fingers that provides capabilities similar to those of human skin sensing *** sensor utilizes a novel PI-MXene/SrTiO_(3) hybrid aerogel developed as a sensing unit with the additional abilities of electromagnetic transmission and thermal insulation to adapt to certain complex ***,polyimide(PI)provides a high-strength skeleton,MXene realizes a pressure-sensing function,and MXene/SrTiO_(3) achieves both thermoelectric and infrared radiation response ***,via the pressure response mechanism and unsteady-state heat transfer,these aerogel-derived flexible sensors realize multimodal sensing and recognition capabilities with minimal *** can differentiate among 13 types of hardness and four types of material from objects with accuracies of 94%and 85%,respectively,using a decision tree *** addition,based on the infrared radiation-sensing function,a sensory array was assembled,and different shapes of objects were successfully *** findings demonstrate that this PI-MXene/SrTiO_(3) aerogel provides a new concept for expanding the multifunctionality of flexible sensors such that the manipulator can more closely reach the tactile level of the human *** advancement reduces the difficulty of integrating humanoid robots and provides a new breadth of application scenarios for their possibility.

Developing wide-temperature and high-safety lithium-ion batteries(liBs)presents significant challenges attributed to the absence of suitable solvents possessing broad liquid range and non-flammability properties.γ-Butyrolactone(GBL)has emerged as a promising solvent;however,its incompatibility with graphite anode has hindered its *** limitation necessitates a comprehensive investigation into the underlying mechanisms and potential *** this study,we achieve a molecular-level understanding of the perplexing interphase formation process by employing in-situ spectroelectrochemical techniques and density function *** findings reveal that,even at high salt concentrations,GBL consistently occupies the primary li^(+)solvation sheath,leading to extensive GBL decomposition and the formation of a high-impedance and inorganic-poor solid-electrolyte interphase(SEI)*** to manipulating solvation structures,our research demonstrates that the utilization of filmforming additives with higher reduction potential facilitates the pre-establishment of a robust SEI film on the graphite *** approach effectively inhibits GBL decomposition and significantly enhances the battery's *** study provides the first reported intrinsic understanding of the unique GBLgraphite incompatibility and offers valuable insights for the development of wide-temperature and high-safety liBs.

Strain-promoted S-arylation and alkenylation of sulfinamides using arynes and cyclic alkynes

The conversion of commercially available chiral sulfinamides into pharmaceutically useful chiral sulfoximines via direct SIVfunctionalization is synthetically attractive but challenging due to the competitive reaction of N-functionalization. Herein, we disclose a novel strain-release strategy to access stereospecific and chemoselective SIV-arylation and alkenylation of sulfinamides using arynes and strained cyclic alkynes. This method tolerates an unprecedented chemical diversity of functional groups attached to the nitrogen center(N-R). The origin of the high SIV-selectivity is elucidated by density functional theory calculations, suggesting a stepwise mechanism for the aryne substrates and a concerted mechanism for the cyclic alkynes.

Noncovalent cross-linked engineering hydrogel with low hysteresis and high sensitivity for flexible self-powered electronics

In this study,the hydrogel network was reinforced by covalent-like hydrogen bonding,and the strong binding ability of boron-nitrogen coordination served as the main driving *** them,acrylamide(AM)and 3-acrylamidophenylboronic acid(AAPBA)were the main body,and the numerous hydroxyl groups in the trehalose(Treh)molecule and other polymer groups formed strong hydrogen bonding interactions to improve the mechanical properties of the PAM/PAAPBA/Treh(PAAT)hydrogel and ensured the simplicity of the synthesis *** hydrogel possessed high strain at break(1239%),stress(64.7 kPa),low hysteresis(100%to 500%strain,corresponding to dissipation energy from 1.37 to 7.80 kJ/m^(3)),and outstanding cycling stability(retained more than 90%of maximum stress after 200 ten-sile cycles).By integrating carbon nanotubes(CNTs)into PAAT hydrogel(PAATC),the PAATC hydrogel with excellent strain response performance was successfully *** PAATC conductive hydro-gel exhibited high sensitivity(gauge factor(GF)=10.58 and sensitivity(S)=0.304 kPa^(-1)),wide strain response range(0.5%-1000%),fast response time(450 ms),and short recovery time(350 ms),excellent fatigue resistance,and strain response ***,the PAATC-based triboelectric nanogener-ator(TENG)displayed outstanding energy harvesting performance,which shows its potential for appli-cation in self-powered electronic devices.

To overcome the pain and risk of hypoglycemia in insulin administration,glucose-responsive microneedles have been developed by researchers,which could release insulin according to the blood glucose *** designed a kind of particles by a reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT)method containing a phenylboronic acid group as the sensor of glucose and carrier of ***(ethylene glycol)(PEG)-2-(dodecylthio(thiocarbonyl)thio)-2-methylpropionic acid(DDMAT)was synthesized as a macromolecular RAFT agent,which was then reacted with 3-acrylamidophenylboronic acid(AAPBA)to synthesize the block copolymer ***-responsive particles loaded with insulin were prepared by self-assembly based on hydrophilic-hydrophobic *** patches loaded with glucose-responsive particles were prepared using hyaluronic acid as the *** insulin release behavior of the particles in glucose solutions of 0,100,and 400 mg/dL showed significant glucose responsiveness and good *** results of blood glucose control experiments in rats indicate that a single microneedle patch can effectively maintain normal blood glucose for over 7 h.

Experimental Investigation on Heat Transfer and Combustion of a Stirling Engine Combustor Fueled by Reformed Gas and Diesel Fuel

Thermochemical recuperation heat recovery is an advanced waste heat utilization technology that can effectively recover exhaust waste heat from oxy-fuel Stirling *** novel combustor of a Stirling engine with thermochemical recuperation heat recovery system is expected to utilize both reformed gas and diesel fuels as sources of *** this research,the effects of various factors,including the H_(2)O addition,fuel distribution ratio(FDR),excess oxygen coefficient,and cyclone structure on the temperature distribution in the combustor,combustion emissions,and external combustion system efficiency of the Stirling engine were experimentally *** the increase of steam-to-carbon ratio(S/C),the temperature difference between the upper and lower heating tubes reduces and the circumferential temperature fluctuation decreases,and the combustion of diesel and reformed gas remains close to complete *** S/C=2,the external combustion efficiency is 80.6%,indicating a 1.6%decrease compared to conventional *** the increase of FDR,the temperature uniformity of the heater tube is improved,and the CO and HC emissions ***,the impact of the FDR on the maximum temperature difference and temperature fluctuation across the heater is *** the FDR rises from 21%to 38%,the external combustion efficiency increases from 87.4%to92.3%.The excess oxygen coefficient plays a secondary role in influencing temperature uniformity and temperature difference,and the reformed gas and diesel fuel can be burned efficiently at a low excess oxygen coefficient of *** an increase in the cyclone angle,the heater tube temperature increases,while the maximum temperature difference at the lower part decreases,and the temperature fluctuation ***,the CO and HC emissions increase,and the external combustion efficiency experiences a decrease.A cyclone angle of 30°is found to be an appropriate value for achieving optimal
