We use the generalized Wootters formula, the positive partial transpose(PPT) criterion and the matched entanglement witness, to detect entanglement of three-qubit GHZ and W superposition state and its decayed states. It shows that the results of the generalized Wootters formula in the part near the W state are tight. In the other parts, the PPT criterion is superior to the generalized Wootters formula. Furthermore, we investigate the relationship between entanglement and coherence.

This paper focuses on the parallel aggregation processing of data streams based on the shared-nothing architecture. A novel granularity-aware parallel aggregating model is proposed. It employs parallel sampling and linear regression to describe the characteristics of the data quantity in the query window in order to determine the partition granularity of tuples, and utilizes equal depth histogram to implement partitio ning. This method can avoid data skew and reduce communi cation cost. The experiment results on both synthetic data and actual data prove that the proposed method is efficient, practical and suitable for time-varying data streams processing.

We theoretically investigate the spin resolved Friedel oscillation(FO)and quasiparticle interference(QPI)in graphene induced by an Anderson *** the impurity becomes magnetic,the resulted FO becomes spin dependent,which gives rise to a local magnetic moment oscillation with an envelop decaying as r^(-2) in real space in the doping ***,at half filling,the electron density and local magnetic moment will not oscillate but decay as r^(-3).Such spin resolved FO has both sublattice and spin ***,the local magnetic moment decay at half filling only occurs at one sublattice of graphene,which is quite like the phenomenon observed in the STM experiment(***ález-Herrero et al.,Science 352,437(2016)).We further give an analytic formula about such spin dependent FO based on the stationary phase ***,we study the interference of quasiparticles around the magnetic impurity by calculating the spin dependent Fourier-transformed local density of states(FT-LDOS).Our work gives a comprehensive understanding about the local magnetic moment oscillation around an Anderson impurity on graphene.

Hydrogen sulfide reduces oxidative stress in Huntington's disease via Nrf2

The pathophysiology of Huntington's disease involves high levels of the neurotoxin quinolinic acid. Quinolinic acid accumulation results in oxidative stress, which leads to neurotoxicity. However, the molecular and cellular mechanisms by which quinolinic acid contributes to Huntington's disease pathology remain unknown. In this study, we established in vitro and in vivo models of Huntington's disease by administering quinolinic acid to the PC12 neuronal cell line and the striatum of mice, respectively. We observed a decrease in the levels of hydrogen sulfide in both PC12 cells and mouse serum, which was accompanied by down-regulation of cystathionine β-synthase, an enzyme responsible for hydrogen sulfide production. However, treatment with NaHS(a hydrogen sulfide donor) increased hydrogen sulfide levels in the neurons and in mouse serum, as well as cystathionine β-synthase expression in the neurons and the mouse striatum, while also improving oxidative imbalance and mitochondrial dysfunction in PC12 cells and the mouse striatum. These beneficial effects correlated with upregulation of nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2 expression. Finally, treatment with the nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2inhibitor ML385 reversed the beneficial impact of exogenous hydrogen sulfide on quinolinic acid-induced oxidative stress. Taken together, our findings show that hydrogen sulfide reduces oxidative stress in Huntington's disease by activating nuclear factor erythroid 2-related factor 2,suggesting that hydrogen sulfide is a novel neuroprotective drug candidate for treating patients with Huntington's disease.

Background Interactions of tumor cells with the microenvironment were deemed to promote the tumor invasion and metastasis. CXC chemokine receptor 4 （CXCR4） and extracellular matrix metalloproteinase inducer （EMMPRIN） had reported to participate in this process. However the roles of bone marrow microenvironment in leukemic infiltration were not well investigated. Methods A co-culture system between SHI-1 cells and bone marrow stromal cells （BMSCs） is used to simulate the interactions of leukemic cells with their microenvironment. The trans-matrigel invasion was used to detect the capability of SHI-1 cells invasion. The BMSCs and SHI-1 cells were mixed in a ratio of 1：10 and added to the millicell chamber coated with matrigel. Either the co-culture supernatant or the functional blocking peptide of CXCR4 and EMMPRIN were added to the trans-matrigel invasion system. The expressions of EMMPRIN in SHI-1 cells and BMSCs were detected by RT-PCR. The changes of the expression of matrix metalloproteinase-2, 9 （MMP-2, MMP-9）, tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 2 （TIMP-2）, and CXCR4 mRNA in SHI-1 cells were determined by real-time PCR. The concentration of stromal cell derived factor 1 （SDF-1） in serum free supernatant was measured by EliSA. Results Both SHI-1 cells and BMSCs express EMMPRIN. SHI-1 cells could hardly invade the matrigel membrane; the co- culture supernatant did not induce the invasion of SHI-1 cells. When contacting directly with BMSCs, SHI-1 cells invaded to the lower chamber of millicell were significantly increased. The functional blocking peptide of CXCR4 and EMMPRIN could significantly inhibit the invasion triggered by BMSCs. When co-culturing with BMSCs, the expression of CXCR4, MMP-2, MMP-9 and TIMP-2 mRNA in SHI-1 cells were significantly elevated in company with a significantly higher level of SDF-1 in the co-cultured serum-free supernatant. Conclusion The interactions of leukemic cells and BMSCs play important roles in leukemic cell infiltration.
