Objective: To explore the protective effect of bloodletting acupuncture at twelve Jing-well points on hand(BAJP) on acute hypobaric hypoxia(AHH)-induced brain injury in rats and its possible mechanisms.Methods: Seventy-five Sprague Dawley rats were divided into 5 groups by a random number table(n=15),including control, model, BAJP, BAJP+3-methyladenine(3-MA), and bloodletting acupuncture at non-acupoint(BANA, tail tip blooding) groups. After 7-day pre-treatment, AHH models were established using hypobaric oxygen chambers. The levels of S100B, glial fibrillary acidic protein(GFAP), superoxide dismutase(SOD), and malondialdehyde(MDA) in serum were measured by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Hematoxylin-eosin staining and the terminal deoxynucleotidyl transferase-mediated dUTP-biotin nick end labeling method were used to assess hippocampal histopathology and apoptosis. Transmission electron microscopy assay was used to observe mitochondrial damage and autophagosomes in hippocampal tissues. Flow cytometry was used to detect mitochondrial membrane potential(MMP). The mitochondrial respiratory chain complexes Ⅰ, Ⅲ and Ⅳ activities and ATPase in hippocampal tissue were evaluated, respectively. Western blot analysis was used to detect the protein expressions of Beclin1, autophagy protein 5(ATG5), microtubule-associated protein 1 light chain 3 beta(LC3B), phosphatase and tensin homolog induced kinase 1(PINK1), and Parkin in hippocampal tissues. The mRNA expressions of Beclin1, ATG5 and LC3-Ⅱ were analyzed by quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction. Results: BAJP treatment reduced hippocampal tissue injury and inhibited hippocampal cell apoptosis in AHH rats. Spin defects in silicon carbide(SiC) with mature wafer-scale fabrication and micro/nano-processing technologies have recently drawn considerable attention.Although room-temperature single-spin manipulation of colour centres in SiC has been demonstrated,the typically detected contrast is less than 2%,and the photon count rate is also low.Here,we present the coherent manipulation of single divacancy spins in 4 H-SiC with a high readout contrast(-30%) and a high photon count rate(150 kilo counts per second)under ambient conditions,which are competitive with the nitrogen-vacancy centres in diamond.Coupling between a single defect spin and a nearby nuclear spin is also observed.We further provide a theoretical explanation for the high readout contrast by analysing the defect levels and decay paths.Since the high readout contrast is of utmost importance in many applications of quantum technologies,this work might open a new territory for SiC-based quantum devices with many advanced properties of the host material.

It is a challenging task to teach machines to paint like human artists in a stroke-by-stroke fashion.Despite advances in stroke-based image rendering and deep learning-based image rendering,existing painting methods have limitations:they(i)lack flexibility to choose different art-style strokes,(ii)lose content details of images,and(iii)generate few artistic styles for paintings.In this paper,we propose a stroke-style generative adversarial network,called Stroke-GAN,to solve the first two limitations.Stroke-GAN learns styles of strokes from different stroke-style datasets,so can produce diverse stroke styles.We design three players in Stroke-GAN to generate pure-color strokes close to human artists’strokes,thereby improving the quality of painted details.To overcome the third limitation,we have devised a neural network named Stroke-GAN Painter,based on Stroke-GAN;it can generate different artistic styles of paintings.Experiments demonstrate that our artful painter can generate various styles of paintings while well-preserving content details(such as details of human faces and building textures)and retaining high fidelity to the input images.

Two-dimensional (2D) magnets have broad application prospects in the spintronics,but how to effectively control them with a small electric field is still an issue.Here we propose that 2D magnets can be efficiently controlled in a multiferroic heterostructure composed of 2D magnetic material and perovskite oxide ferroelectric (POF) whose dielectric polarization is easily flipped under a small electric field.We illustrate the feasibility of such strategy in the bilayer CrI_(3)/BiFeO_(3)(001) heterostructure by using the first-principles calculations.Different from the traditional POF multiferroic heterostructures which have strong interface interactions,we find that the interface interaction between CrI_(3) and BiFeO_(3)(001) is van der Waals type.Whereas,the heterostructure has particular strong magnetoelectric coupling where the bilayer CrI_(3) can be efficiently switched between ferromagnetic and antiferromagnetic types by the polarized states P↑ and P↓ of BiFeO_(3)(001).We also discover the competing effect between electron doping and the additional electric field on the interlayer exchange coupling interaction of CrI_(3),which is responsible to the magnetic phase transition.Our results provide a avenue for the tuning of 2D magnets with a small electric field.

Porous carbon materials with developed porosity,high surface area and good thermal-and chemicalresistance are advantageous for gas adsorption and separation.However,most carbon adsorbents are in powder form which exhibit high pressure drop when deployed in practical separation bed.While monolithic carbons have largely addressed the pulverization problem and preserved kinetics and usually suffer from abrasion during multiple adsorption-desorption cycles.Herein,we proposed the designed synthesis of mechanically robust carbon monoliths with hierarchical pores,solid nitrogen-containing framework.The synthesis started with the polymerization of resorcinol and formaldehyde under weakly acidic conditions generated from cyanuric acid,and then an appropriate amount of hexamethylenetetramine(HMTA)was added as a crosslinker to prompt the formation of three dimensional frameworks.After carbonization process,the as-obtained porous carbon monoliths have a high radial compressive strength of 886 N/cm as well as a BET specific surface area of up to 683 m2/g.At approximately 1 bar,the CO2 equilibrium capacities of the monoliths are in the range of 3.1–4.0 mmol/g at 273 K and of 2.3–3.0 mmol/g at 298 K,exhibiting high selectivity for the capture of CO2 over N2 from a stream which consists of 16.7%(v%)CO2 in N2.Meanwhile,they undergo a facile CO2 release in an argon stream at 298 K,indicating a good regeneration capacity.After cycle testing,sieving and regeneration,the adsorbent has no mass loss,compared to that of its fresh counterpart.

Inspired by the phenomenon of superhydrophobic plants and animals in nature,1,3,5,7-tetranitro-1,3,5,7-tetrazocane(HMX)@copper stearate(CS)core-shell composites with similar properties was prepared.A rough shell layer on the surface of the HMX was observed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM),and a series of in-depth characterization confirmed the successful generation of CS and the coreshell structure of the samples.Differential scanning calorimeter(DSC)proves that the crystal transition temperature(204℃)and high temperature decomposition exothermal temperature(284℃)of HMX@CS is almost unchanged compared with pure HMX,which means HMX and CS have good compatibility.Then,the H50 of the samples also increased continuously(16.6 cm→33.7 cm)when the CS shell content increased from 1%to 5%,indicating that the CS shell has a certain buffering performance,and CS will absorb some heat and melt under the stimulation of impact due to its low melting point,which improved impact sensitivity of HMX effectively further.Moreover,HMX@CS has excellent hydrophobic and oleophilic performance,shows excellent wettability with lipid binder,and samples with appropriate CS shell content can continue to combustion stably after covering water.This waterproof and low sensitivity coating provides a new way for the development of multifunctional energetic materials.

In this study, by taking the accretions into account, the observed shadows and rings cast by the Brane-World black hole were numerically investigated when the observer was located at the cosmological horizon. The results showed that the radius rpof the photon sphere increased with the cosmological parameter α and dark matter parameter β, while the impact parameter bpdecreased with α and increased with β. For thin disk accretion, the total observed intensity is mainly composed of direct emission.Simultaneously, the lensing ring and photon ring have only small and negligible contributions, respectively. We also found that shadows and rings exhibit different and exciting features when the disk is located at different positions. For static and infalling spherical accretions, it is evident that the size of shadows is always the same for both accretions. This implies that shadows are only related to space-time geometry in this case. The luminosity of the shadow and photon sphere is closely associated with the Doppler effect and the emissivity per unit volume j(νe). In addition, the influence of dark matter and cosmological constant on the observed intensity of shadows and rings is carefully emphasized throughout this paper. Finally, we obtained the burring images of shadows and rings using the nominal resolution of the event horizon telescope. We also studied the upper limits of the X-clod dark matter parameter β using the data of the shadow of M87.
