HeterojunctionFe2O3 nanoparticles（NPs）, NiFe2O4 nanofibers（NFs）, and CoFe2O4 NFs were synthesized by electrospinning and the subsequent thermal treatment processes. Characterization results indeed display the three-dimensional net-like textural structures of these as-electrospun spinel-type MFe2O4 NFs. The MFe2O4 NFs-based film configurations possess abundant micro/meso/macropores on their surface. These structures could afford more accessible transport channels for effective reduction of the mass transport resistance and improvement of the density of exposed catalytic active sites. All these advantages are responsible for the enhanced electro-catalytic performance of these MFe2O4 NFs in hydrazine oxidation. When used for hydrazine detection, CoFe2O4 NFs show the best catalytic *** example, the CoFe2O4 NFs possess a large sensitivity of 1327 mA cmà2（mmol Là1[à1in the linear range of 0.01 to 0.1 mmol Là1and 503 mA cmà2（mmol Là1）à1in the linear range of 0.1 to 11 mmol Là1, a response time of shorter than 3 s, good reproducibility and remarkable long-term stability. The superior catalytic efficiency, excellent stability, low cost, and ease of fabrication render CoFe2O4 NFs very promising materials in developing an electrochemical device that directly detects hydrazine.

Porous carbon materials with developed porosity,high surface area and good thermal-and chemicalresistance are advantageous for gas adsorption and ***,most carbon adsorbents are in powder form which exhibit high pressure drop when deployed in practical separation *** monolithic carbons have largely addressed the pulverization problem and preserved kinetics and usually suffer from abrasion during multiple adsorption-desorption ***,we proposed the designed synthesis of mechanically robust carbon monoliths with hierarchical pores,solid nitrogen-containing *** synthesis started with the polymerization of resorcinol and formaldehyde under weakly acidic conditions generated from cyanuric acid,and then an appropriate amount of hexamethylenetetramine(HMTA)was added as a crosslinker to prompt the formation of three dimensional *** carbonization process,the as-obtained porous carbon monoliths have a high radial compressive strength of 886 N/cm as well as a BET specific surface area of up to 683 m2/*** approximately 1 bar,the CO2 equilibrium capacities of the monoliths are in the range of 3.1–4.0 mmol/g at 273 K and of 2.3–3.0 mmol/g at 298 K,exhibiting high selectivity for the capture of CO2 over N2 from a stream which consists of 16.7%(v%)CO2 in ***,they undergo a facile CO2 release in an argon stream at 298 K,indicating a good regeneration *** cycle testing,sieving and regeneration,the adsorbent has no mass loss,compared to that of its fresh counterpart.

Designing highly active and stable electrocata-lysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)and oxygen evolution reaction(OER)is a challenge for energy con-version and storage *** this work,a S and N co-doped graphene supported cobalt–nickel sulfide composite catalyst(rGO@SN-CoNi_(2)S_(4))was synthesized simply via a one-step hydrothermal *** as-synthesized CoNi_(2)S_(4)particles grew in a mosaic manner inside GO lamellae and were encapsulated with *** a bifunctional catalyst,the r GO@SN-CoNi_(2)S_(4)exhibits excellent electrocatalytic performance under alkaline con-ditions,which only required the overpotential of 142.6 mV(***)and 310 m V(***)to deliver a current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2) for HER and OER,*** good hydrophilicity of the r GO@SN,the pure phase of bimetallic structure,and the chemical coupling/interaction between the CoNi_(2)S_(4)and the rGO@SN are attributable to be the possible reasons responsible for the higher HER and OER catalytic ***,the rGO@SN-CoNi_(2)S_(4)also shows a great potential for serving as an excellent cathode and anode electrolyzer during the water splitting process.

Change in Spring Meridional Circulation and Its Relation to Summer Typhoon Activities

This study documents the decadal changes of the spring meridional circulation （SMC） over 110°E- 165°E and the relationship between the SMC and summer （June-July-August-September） typhoon activity over the Western North Pacific （WNP） during 1948-2010. The authors found that the SMC was changed after 1969. Before its change, the SMC had no clear relation with the summer typhoon number over the WNP （TNWNP）, but after the change, it has become positively correlated with the TNWNP, with a correlation coefficient of 0.57 be- tween them （above the 99% confidence level）. It was ob- served that after the SMC was changed, the positive tropical sea surface temperature anomaly associated with the SMC was shifted from the Equatorial Eastern Pacific （El Nifio） to the equatorial middle Pacific （El Nifio Mo- doki）; at the same time, the Pacific decadal oscillation （PDO） pattern over the North Pacific, which is associated with the SMC, was enhanced. The SMC and the TNWNP are both modulated by the E1 Nifio Modoki after 1969, so the relationship between them becomes significant.

Waxy crude oil emulsion has thixotropic properties at the temperature near gel point,which is a macromechanical characterization of the structure failure and recovery of waxy crude oil *** this paper,the thixotropic behaviors of waxy crude oil emulsion near gel point were studied using hysteresis loop formed by stress linear increase and decrease,as well as the structural recovery *** influence of the loading conditions and water content on the thixotropy of waxy crude oil emulsion were analyzed with hysteresis loop *** concept of"structural recovery"was introduced to study the degree of structural recovery after different stewing,and influencing factors were taken into *** have shown that for waxy crude oil emulsion,the failure to fully restore of the structure after lysis is the cause of the formation of hysteresis loop,and the loading conditions will not affect the strength of thixotropy and the degree of structural ***,the dispersed phase droplets weaken the thixotropy and structure recovery characteristics of waxy crude oil emulsion,and the greater the water content,the weaker the *** findings can help to better understand the safe and economic operation of waxy crude oil-water pipeline transportation.

AL-6XN stainless steels, one of the candidate structure materials for supercritical water-cooled reactor, were irradiated from 0.5 to 5 dpa using 100 keV H2＋ ions at 290 and 380 ℃. Microstructures were characterized by transmission electron microscopy （TEM）. Dislocation loops were the dominant radiation-induced defects. All the dislocation loops had 1/3 〈111〉 type Burgers vector. Number density and size of the loops have been measured. Nucleation and evolution of dislocation loops were also investigated. Voids were observed only in the condition of 5 dpa at 380 ℃. Different evolution mechanisms of the radiation-induced dislocation loops were discussed. Effects of hydrogen and elevated temperature on the microstructural evolution were also investigated. Besides, the formed voids have a further effect on the evolution of dislocation loops.

Through plane strain compression, hot ductility of 00Cr22Ni5Mo3N DSS is studied under plane strain con dition, and the dynamic softening mechanism is investigated through microstructure observation under TEM. The results show that the deformation temperature can markedly influence the peak stress of 00Cr22NiSMo3N specimens. And being different from DSS softening mechanism generally reported, ferrite can be softened through dynamic re eovery and recrystallization, hut austenite can he softened only through dynamic recovery during hot deformation. The unfavourable effect of N on softening capacity of austenite is greater than that of Ni.
