Nutritional factors and gastric cancer in Zhoushan Islands, China

AIM: To investigate the association between nutrient intakes and high incidence rate of gastric cancer among residents in Zhoushan ***: A frequency-matched design of case-control study was used during the survey on dietary factors and gastric cancer in Zhoushan Islands, China. A total of 103 cases of gastric cancer diagnosed in 2001 were included in the study and 133 controls were randomly selected from the residents in Zhoushan Islands. A food frequency questionnaire was specifically designed for the Chinese dietary pattern to collect information on dietary intake. A computerized database of the dietary and other relative information of each participant was completed. Total calories and 15 nutrients were calculated according to the food composition table and their adjusted odds ratios (ORs) and 95% confidence intervals (CIs) were estimated by gender using unconditional logistic regression ***: High intakes of protein, saturated fat, and cholesterol were observed with the increased risk of gastric cancer particularly among males (ORQ4 vsQ1 were 10.3, 3.24, 2.76 respectively). While carbohydrate was a significant high-risk nutrient (ORQ4 vsQ1 = 14.8; Pfor linear trend = 0.024) among females. Regardless of their gender, the cases reported significantly higher daily intake of sodium mainly from salts. As to the nutrients of vitamins A and C, an inversed association with the risk of GC was found. Baseline characteristics of participants were briefly ***: The findings from this study confirm the role of diet-related exposure in the etiology of gastric cancer from the point of view of epidemiology. An increased risk of gastric cancer is associated with high intakes of protein, saturated fat, cholesterol and sodium,while consumption of polyunsaturated fat, vitamin A and ascorbic acid may have a protective effect against gastric cancer.

From the perspective of resource-theoretic approach,this study explores the quantification of imaginary in quantum *** propose a well defined measure of imaginarity,the geometric-like measure of *** with the usual geometric imaginarity measure,this geometric-like measure of imaginarity exhibits smaller decay difference under quantum noisy channels and higher *** applications,we show that both the optimal probability of state transformations from a pure state to an arbitrary mixed state via real operations,and the maximal probability of stochastic-approximate state transformations from a pure state to an arbitrary mixed state via real operations with a given fidelity f,are given by the geometric-like measure of imaginarity.

Anchoring 1T-MoS_(2)petals on N-doped reduced graphene oxide for exceptional electromagnetic wave absorption

The effective construction of electromagnetic(EM)wave absorption materials with thin matching thickness,broad bandwidth,and remarkable absorption is a great solution to EM pollution,which is a hot topic in current environmental *** this study,N-doped reduced graphene oxide(N-rGO)was first prepared using a facile hydrothermal ***,high-purity 1T-MoS_(2)petals were homogeneously anchored to the wrinkled surface of N-rGO to fabricate 1T-MoS_(2)@N-rGO *** numerous electric di-poles and profuse heterointerfaces in 1T-MoS_(2)@N-rGO would induced the multiple reflection and scattering of EM waves in a distinct-ive multidimensional structure formed by two-dimensional N-rGO and 1T-MoS_(2)microspheres with plentiful thin nanosheets,remarkable conduction loss derived from the migration of massive electrons in a well-constructed conductive network formed by 1T-MoS_(2)@N-rGO,and abundant polarization loss(including dipolar polarization loss and interfacial polarization loss).All of these gave the 1T-MoS_(2)@N-rGO nanocomposites superior EM wave absorption *** effective absorption bandwidth of 1T-MoS_(2)@N-rGO reached 6.48 GHz with a relatively thin matching thickness of 1.84 mm,and a minimum reflection loss of-52.24 dB was achieved at 3.84 ***,the radar scattering cross-section reduction value of 1T-MoS_(2)@N-rGO was up to 35.42 dB·m^(2) at 0°,which further verified the huge potential of our fabricated 1T-MoS_(2)@N-rGO nanocomposites in practical applications.

Spatial differentiation of carbon emissions from energy consumption based on machine learning algorithm:A case study during 2015–2020 in Shaanxi,China

Carbon emissions resulting from energy consumption have become a pressing issue for governments *** estimation of carbon emissions using satellite remote sensing data has become a crucial research *** studies relied on statistical regression models that failed to capture the complex nonlinear relationships between carbon emissions and characteristic *** this study,we propose a machine learning algorithm for carbon emissions,a Bayesian optimized XGboost regression model,using multi-year energy carbon emission data and nighttime lights(NTL)remote sensing data from Shaanxi Province,*** results demonstrate that the XGboost algorithm outperforms linear regression and four other machine learning models,with an R^(2)of 0.906 and RMSE of *** observe an annual increase in carbon emissions,with high-emission counties primarily concentrated in northern and central Shaanxi Province,displaying a shift from discrete,sporadic points to contiguous,extended spatial *** autocorrelation clustering reveals predominantly high-high and low-low clustering patterns,with economically developed counties showing high-emission clustering and economically relatively backward counties displaying low-emission *** findings show that the use of NTL data and the XGboost algorithm can estimate and predict carbon emissionsmore accurately and provide a complementary reference for satellite remote sensing image data to serve carbon emission monitoring and *** research provides an important theoretical basis for formulating practical carbon emission reduction policies and contributes to the development of techniques for accurate carbon emission estimation using remote sensing data.

3D Printed Chitosan Bioink Loaded with Chrysin for Repairing Bone Defects

This study aimed to investigate the potential of chrysin(C)to induce osteogenic differentiation of rat bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs)in ***(CS)was dissolved by repeated freeze-thawing of alkali/urea solutions,followed by co-printing of nano-hydroxyapatite(HAP)powders with different concentrations of C solutions(5,10,and 20µmol/L)compounded into CS *** rheological properties were modified with acetic acid/gelatin solution to construct C-CS-HAP(C-CS-H)composite scaffolds by extrusion printing *** characterization showed that the four groups of scaffolds had regularly interconnected porous structures with pore diameters of about 450–600µm,and the novel bioink exhibited shear-thinning properties,with the viscosity of the material decreasing in the shear rates range of 0.01–1000 s^(−1) and thus good *** osteogenic differentiation ability of BMSCs was confirmed by the CCK-8 test,alkaline phosphatase(ALP)test,Alizarin Red staining(ARS)test,osteogenesis-related genes OCN,ALP,Runx 2,and bone morphogenetic protein-2(BMP-2)test,which showed a significant promotion of the osteogenic differentiation ability of BMSCs with the increase of the content of *** above results indicate the potential of C-CS-H composite scaffolds in osteogenesis.

Turbulent Agglomeration of Microparticles in a Cylinder Wake Flow Using LES-DEM:Focusing on the Effect of the Reynolds Number

Turbulent agglomeration is viewed as a promising technology for enhancing fine particle removal *** better understand particle transport,agglomeration behaviors,and fluid-particle interactions,we numerically explored these phenomena under cylindrical vortex wake influence using a coupled large eddy simulation and discrete element method(LES-DEM)*** validity of the LES approach was verified by comparison with available direct numerical simulation(DNS)*** adopted the Johnson-Kendall-Roberts(JKR)contact model for particle-particle *** particle dispersion and agglomeration characteristics of particles with different diameters(d_(p)=2-20μm)in the laminar and transition of shear layer(TrSL)flow regimes were *** particles were concentrated at the vortex centers,while larger particles accumulated around the *** agglomeration efficiency exhibited an M-shaped profile spanwise(y-direction).With increasing Reynolds number,the agglomeration efficiency and turbulence intensity *** particle agglomeration efficiency peaks at a certain Reynolds ***,at higher Reynolds numbers,reducing the residence time of particles in the flow field decreases the agglomeration efficiency.

Structuring MoO3-polyoxometalate hybrid superstructures to boost electrocatalytic hydrogen evolution reaction

Improving the surface atoms utilization efficiency of catalysts is extremely important for large-scale H2production by electrochemical water splitting,but it remains a great ***,we reported two kinds of Mo O3-polyoxometalate hybrid nanobelt superstructures (MoO3-POM HNSs,POM=PW12O40and Si W12O40) using a simple hydrothermal *** superstructure with highly uniform nanoparticles as building blocks can expose more surface atoms and emanate increased specific surface *** incorporated POMs generated abundant oxygen vacancies,improved the electronic mobility,and modulated the surface electronic structure of MoO3,allowing to optimize the H*adsorption/desorption and dehydrogenation kinetics of ***,the as-prepared MoO3-PW12O40HNSs electrodes not only displayed the low overpotentials of 108 mV at 10 mA/cm2current density in 0.5 mol/L H2SO4electrolyte but also displayed excellent long-term *** hydrogen evolution reaction （HER） performance of MoO3-POM superstructures is significantly better than that of corresponding bulk materials MoO3@PW12O40and Mo O3@Si W12O40,and the overpotentials are about 8.3 and 4.9 times lower than that of single Mo *** work opens an avenue for designing highly surface-exposed catalysts for electrocatalytic H2production and other electrochemical applications.

By combining experimental α-decay energies and half-lives, the α-particle preformation factor for nuclei around neutron magic numbers N of 126, 152, and 162 were extracted using the two-potential approach. The nuclei around the shell closure were more tightly bound than adjacent nuclei. Additionally, based on the WS4 mass model (Wang et al., Phys. Lett.B 734, 215 (2014)), we extended the two-potential approach to predict the α-decay half-lives of nuclei around N values of178 and 184 with Z of 119 and 120. We believe that our findings will serve as guidelines for future experimental studies.

Effect of Chinese Herbs Bu-shen on PRLR, PR, ER mRNA of Decidue in Bromocriptine-induced Hypoprolac- tin Rat Abortion Model

Objective To explore the effect of Chinese herbs on PRLR, PR, ER mRNA of decidue in Bromocriptine-induced hypoprolactin abortion rat model from gene transcription level, and observe the changes of blood PRL, P, E2.Methods RT-PCR method was taken to analyses the differences of PRLR, PR, ER mRNA in decidue between model group (A group) and model + herbs group (A + H group); RIA was taken to measure the serum levels of PRL, P, E2. Results PRLR, PR mRNA expression in decidue of Group A was significantly lower than the A + H group (P0. 05); the abortion rate of Group A was 67 %, Group A+H was 17% , the difference was significant; as for the PRL and P level of day 7-1.0, the A group was significantly lower than the A+H group (Plining the blood PRL, P level and downregulating PRLR, PR mRNA expression in decidue. Chinese herbs might maintain pregnancy by promoting PRL, P secretion and upregulating PRLR, PR mRNA expression in decidue.

Constriction-susceptible lithium support for fast cycling of solid-state lithium metal battery

Recently, lithium metal batteries (LMBs) have been intensively explored owing to its high capacity and low potential of li as the anode [1]. However, challenging problems for LMBs easily occur during cycling process [2], e.g., the growth of li dendrites,the formation of unstable electrode-electrolyte interphases and side reactions inside the battery [3]. These problems can lead to reduced battery performances and short circuit [4], which are tried to be solved by some strategies including various threedimensional (3D) supports for li deposition, electrolyte additives and li alloys. However, it is still difficult to solve the stability of li cycling effectively. 3D supports are demonstrated to be effective for tolerating the volume change during li deposition.
