Road Friction Estimation under Complicated Maneuver Conditions for Active Yaw Control

Road friction coefficient is a key factor for the stability control of the vehicle dynamics in the critical conditions. Obviously the vehicle dynamics stability control systems, including the anti-lock brake system（ABS）, the traction control system（TCS）, and the active yaw control（AYC） system, need the accurate tire and road friction information. However, the simplified method based on the linear tire and vehicle model could not obtain the accurate road friction coefficient for the complicated maneuver of the vehicle. Because the active braking control mode of AYC is different from that of ABS, the road friction coefficient cannot be estimated only with the dynamics states of the tire. With the related dynamics states measured by the sensors of AYC, a comprehensive strategy of the road friction estimation for the active yaw control is brought forward with the sensor fusion technique. Firstly, the variations of the dynamics characteristics of vehicle and tire, and the stability control mode in the steering process are considered, and then the proper road friction estimation methods are brought forward according to the vehicle maneuver process. In the steering maneuver without braking, the comprehensive road friction from the four wheels may be estimated based on the multi-sensor signal fusion method. The estimated values of the road friction reflect the road friction characteristic. When the active brake involved, the road friction coefficient of the braked wheel may be estimated based on the brake pressure and tire forces, the estimated values reflect the road friction between the braked wheel and the road. So the optimal control of the wheel slip rate may be obtained according to the road friction coefficient. The methods proposed in the paper are integrated into the real time controller of AYC, which is matched onto the test vehicle. The ground tests validate the accuracy of the proposed method under the complicated maneuver conditions.

The performance of the vehicle dynamics stability control system（DSC） is dominated by the accurate estimation of tire forces in *** characteristics of tire forces are determined by tire dynamic states and parameters,which vary in an obviously large scope along with different working ***,there have been many methods based on the nonlinear observer to estimate the tire force and dynamic parameters,but they were only used in off-line analysis because of the computation complexity and the dynamics differences of four tires in the steering maneuver conditions were not considered *** paper develops a novel algorithm to observe tire parameters in real-time controller for *** algorithm is based on the sensor-fusion technology with the signals of DSC sensors,and the tire parameters are estimated during a set of maneuver *** calibrated tire parameters in the control cycle are treated as the elementary states for vehicle dynamics observation,in which the errors between the calculated and the measured vehicle dynamics are used as the correcting factors for the tire parameter observing *** test process with a given acceleration following a straight line is used to validate the estimation method of the longitudinal stiffness;while the test process with a given steering angle is used to validate the estimated value of the cornering *** ground test result shows that the proposed algorithm can estimate the tire stiffness accurately with an acceptable computation cost for real-time controller only using DSC sensor *** proposed algorithm can be an efficient algorithm for estimating the tire dynamic parameters in vehicle dynamics stability control system,and can be used to improve the robustness of the DSC controller.

Chronic use of antipsychotic medications entails a dilemma between the benefit of alleviating psychotic symptoms and the risk of troubling,sometimes lifeshortening adverse ***-induced cardiotoxicity is one of the most life-threatening adverse effects that raises widespread *** cardiotoxic effects range from arrhythmia to heart failure in the clinic,with myocarditis/cardiomyopathy,ischemic injuries,and unexplained cardiac lesions as the pathological *** mechanisms have been proposed to underlie antipsychotic *** review aims to summarize the clinical signs and pathological changes of antipsychotic cardiotoxicity and introduce recent progress in understanding the underlying mechanisms at both the subcellular organelle level and the molecular *** also provide an up-to-date perspective on future clinical monitoring and therapeutic strategies for antipsychotic *** propose that third-generation antipsychotics or drug adjuvant therapy,such as cannabinoid receptor modulators that confer dual benefits—i.e.,alleviating cardiotoxicity and improving metabolic disorders—deserve further clinical evaluation and marketing.

An adjustable ejector expansion device for a CO2 heat pump water heater (HPWP) is proposed to improve the system performance. It has been designed to investigate experimentally the effects of the motive nozzle throat area of the ejector, entrained flow pressure, back pressure and primary flow pressure on the entrainment ratio. Experiments based on different motive nozzle throat areas were conducted and the results of the prototype ejector using CO2 as working fluid are presented. The results show that an adjustable ejector can achieve high performance and work well in a wide range of working conditions.

Using the AdS/CFT correspondence,this paper investigates the holographic images of a charged black hole within the context of Lorentz symmetry breaking massive *** photon rings,luminosity-deformed rings,or light points from various observational perspectives are *** also study the influences of both the chemical potential and temperature on the Einstein *** the previous work,which primarily examines the effect of chemical potential on ring radius at high temperatures and find no change in the radius with varying chemical potential,we also investigate the effect of chemical potential on the ring radius at low temperature besides at high *** findings indicate that at low temperatures,the photon ring radius decreases with increasing of chemical potential,while at high temperatures,the results are consistent with previous ***,we explore the impact of the model parameterλon the Einstein ring radius and find the the ring radius increases as the model parameterλ*** interestingly,for the large chemical potential,u=1,the temperature dependence of the photon ring radius is reversed forλ=2 andλ=***,for a small chemical potential u=0.1,the temperature dependence of the Einstein ring stays the same asλ=2 andλ=4.

AIM: To evaluate the shortand long-term outcomes of bilateral liver resection for bilateral intrahepatic stones. METHODS: We reviewed retrospectively 101 consecutive patients with bilateral intrahepatic stones who underwent bilateral liver resection in the past 10 years. The shortand long-term outcomes of the patients were analyzed. The Cox proportional hazards model was used to identify the risk factors related to stone recurrence. RESULTS: There was no surgical mortality in this group of patients. The surgical morbidity was 28.7%. Stone clearance rate after hepatectomy was 84.2% and final clearance rate was 95.0% following postoperative choledochoscopic lithotripsy. The stone recurrence rate was 7.9% and the occurrence of postoperative cholangitis was 6.5% in a median follow-up period of 54 mo. The Cox proportional hazards model indicated that liver resection range, less than the range of stone distribution (P = 0.015, OR = 2.152) was an independent risk factor linked to stone recurrence. CONCLUSION: Bilateral liver resection is safe and its shortand long-term outcomes are satisfactory for bilateral intrahepatic stones.

Stroke is classified as ischemic or hemorrhagic,and there are few effective treatments for either *** mechanisms play a critical role in secondary brain injury following a stroke,which manifests as cytokine release,blood–brain barrier disruption,neuronal cell death,and ultimately behavioral *** the inflammatory response has been shown to mitigate this cascade of events in experimental stroke ***,in clinical trials of anti-inflammatory agents,longterm immunosuppression has not demonstrated significant clinical benefits for *** may be attributable to the dichotomous roles of inflammation in both tissue injury and repair,as well as the complex pathophysiologic inflammatory processes in *** acute harmful inflammatory responses or inducing a phenotypic shift from a pro-inflammatory to an anti-inflammatory state at specific time points after a stroke are alternative and promising therapeutic *** agents that can modulate inflammation requires a detailed understanding of the inflammatory processes of ***,epigenetic reprogramming plays a crucial role in modulating post-stroke inflammation and can potentially be exploited for stroke *** this review,we summarize current findings on the epigenetic regulation of the inflammatory response in stroke,focusing on key signaling pathways including nuclear factor-kappa B,Janus kinase/signal transducer and activator of transcription,and mitogen-activated protein kinase as well as inflammasome *** also discuss promising molecular targets for stroke *** evidence to date indicates that therapeutic targeting of the epigenetic regulation of inflammation can shift the balance from inflammation-induced tissue injury to repair following stroke,leading to improved post-stroke outcomes.
