Two new complexes （Cp）2Ti （Sal）2 and（Cp）2Ti（Clo）2 （Cp=Cyclopentadienyl η^5-C5H5 ）, have been synthesized in anhydrous THF by the reaction of HSal（o-hydroxybenzoic acid, salicylate acid） or HClo[N-（ m-chloro-phenyl） anthranili acid, acidum clofenamicum] with （Cp）2TiCl2 and characterized by means of elemental analyses, IR, H NMR, ^13C NMR, UV and molar conductivity. In complex （Cp）2Ti（Sal）2 or（Cp）2Ti（Clo）2, the oxygen atom of the carboxyl group coordinates to Ti（Ⅳ） in a monodentate manner. The inhibitory action of the complexes on mouse ear tumefaction caused by croton oil and rat foot granulation growth caused by cotton balls is higher than that of the corresponding ligands HSal, HClo and [ （Cp）2TiCl2 ], whereas their toxicity is lower than those of the free ligands.

Thermoelectric materials possess the unique capability to convert thermal energy into electric energy and vice versa,making them promising for waste heat recovery and efficient cooling ***,extensively investigated thermoelectric materials such as Bi2Te3,PbTe and GeTe exhibit superior thermoelectric properties at room temperature and medium temperature ***,the broad application of these thermoelectric materials has been impeded by the high cost and restricted accessibility of Te and Ge in the earth's *** the past few years,researchers have shown increasing interest in PbSe-and PbS-based materials,primarily attributed to their abundant elemental supply and relatively low *** assessment of research progress and a comprehensive overview of optimization strategies in time can significantly contribute to further improving the thermoelectric *** strategies include optimizing carrier concentration(aliovalent doping,dynamic doping and defect state),enhancing density-of-state effective mass(band convergence,band flattening and energy filtering effect),optimizing carrier mobility(band sharpening and band alignment)and reducing lattice thermal conductivity(all-scale hierarchical defect structures designing).This systematic summary and analysis provide novel insights and perspectives for the development of thermoelectric materials.

Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)in wastewater accumulated through the ecological chain and could jeopardize human *** of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)from wastewater using recovered perlite was an important way to solve the problem of resource utilization of solid waste from agar *** previous study confirmed that recovered perlite from agar extraction residue had better pore size and specific surface area than commercial ***,the adsorption efficiency and adsorption mechanism of recovered perlite were the main factors limiting its adsorption *** adsorption process of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)by recovered perlite in aqueous solution was described by the pseudo-second-order kinetic equation,and the relevant adsorption mechanism was mainly *** with commercial perlite,the adsorption removal rate of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)by enzymatic recovered perlite could reach 92.9%and 89.2%,respectively,and were improved by 12.63%and 13.03%.Langmuir isothermal adsorption model could better describe the isothermal adsorption process of recovered perlite on heavy metal Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+),and the relevant adsorption mechanism was mainly monolayer *** X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results indicated that the decrease of Si—O Si^(2+)hydroxyl coordination bond and the increase of C—Si bond might make the binding effect of recovered perlite with heavy metals *** competitive adsorption of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)by recovered perlite was still dominated by chemisorption and monolayer *** study was expected to provide a theoretical basis and technical support for the removal of Ni^(2+)and Cd^(2+)from wastewater using recovered perlite from seaweed residue.

Reductive soil disinfestation(RSD)is an important tool for sustainable agricultural ***,the differences in soil bacterial communities and their community assembly processes among RSD and other treatment strategies(e.g.,biochar and chemical fumigation)are still subject to open *** this study,soils subjected to various treatments–un-treated control(CK),chemical soil fumigation with CaCN2(CF),1%biochar(1%B),3%biochar(3%B),and reductive soil disinfestation(RSD)are *** samples were collected,incubated,and then used for growth of tomato *** Sloan neutral community model indicates that stochastic processes dominate in bacterial community assembly for both biochar and CF *** contrast,this work shows that RSD treatment can have a strong impact on soil bacterial community *** relative abundance of Firmicutes increased during unplanted soil incubation,whereas Proteobacteria and Bacteroidetes dominated in the rhizosphere after planting of *** stochasticity ratio reveals that deterministic selection played an important role in the bacterial assembly under RSD *** found that RSD amendment yielded lower biomass than that for other treatments after 28 days of tomato *** results suggest that although RSD treatment has great potential to rebuild soil bacterial ecology by shaping bacterial communities and their assembly processes,it is important to monitor and manage soil conditions(e.g.,soil nutrients or physical properties)before planting to ensure plant productivity.

Nanoelectrodes have been shown to be powerful tools for nanoscopic research on single entities,deepening the understanding of heterogeneity and stochastics for single molecules,nanoparticles and cells[1–3].However,despite their importance,current nanoelectrode preparations are highly restrained to flame/electrochemical etching,metal sputtering,electrochemical deposition,etc.[3],resulting in a limited range of materials(mainly gold,platinum and carbon)for potential-resolved detection of redox-active species(Table S1 online).The enrichment of preparation methods to introduce novel materials and mechanisms should prove significant for the development of nanoelectrodes.

In order to reduce the environmental and ecological problems induced by water resources development and utilization, this paper proposes a concept of environmental and ecological water requirement. It is defined as the minimum water amount to be consumed by the natural water bodies to conserve its environmental and ecological functions. Based on the definition, the methods on calculating the amount of environmental and ecological water requirement are determined. In the case study on Haihe-Luanhe river system, the water requirement is divided into three parts, i.e., the basic in-stream flow, water requirement for sediment transfer and water consumption by evaporation of the lakes or everglades. The results of the calculation show that the environmental and ecological water requirement in the river system is about 124×108 m3, including 57×108 m3 for basic in-stream flow, 63×108 m3 for sediment transfer and 4×108 m3 for net evaporation loss of lakes. The total amount of environmental and ecological water requirement accounts for 54% of the amount of runoff (228×108 m3). However, it should be realized that the amount of environmental and ecological water requirement must be more than that we have calculated. According to this result, we consider that the rational utilization rate of the runoff in the river systems must not be more than 40%. Since the current utilization rate of the river system, which is over 80%, has been far beyond the limitation, the problems of environment and ecology are quite serious. It is imperative to control and adjust water development and utilization to eliminate the existing problems and to avoid the potential ecological or environmental crisis.

Computer Assisted Assignments of Rotationally Resolved Molecular Spectra

A graphically oriented interactive program for assignments of rotationally resolved molecular spectra has been devised. The program functions by grouping spectral lines in term of the second difference principle. and graphing spectral intensity versus frequency in a bar graph of the selected groups, distinguished by color and/or line-type. This allows for easy detection of regular patterns buried in the observed spectrum. Furthermore, it includes a Loomis-Wood view for assisting in spectral assignments. As an example, the program was applied in assigning the molecular spectrum of the production in the discharge of PCl3 buffered by helium gas, which may belong to several species. The results suggest that the program is highly efficient and quite useful in the assignment and the analysis of molecular spectra, especially those of symmetric top, slightly asymmetric top and linear molecules. The accuracy and efficiency of this program will likely ensure its wide application in the processing of molecular spectra.

Identi?cation and Analysis of the Intermediates from Photodegradation of 3,3′-diamino-4,4′-azoxyfurazan (DAAF)by SERS and HPLC–MS/MS

Understanding the structural changes and degradation mechanisms of organic pollutants is critical in environmental *** this work, a xenon lamp was used as an analog light source to simulate the eff ect of sunlight on 3,3′-diamino-4,4′-azoxyfurazan (DAAF) in aqueous solution. Combining high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC–MS/MS), surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) with density functional theory (DFT), the degradation intermediates and mechanisms of DAAF were investigated. The sequential breakdown of the–NH 2and–O–N=bonds, followed by the removal of atomic O from–N=N(O)–, was emphasized and investigated using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS) and SERS spectra. Three intermediates with mass-to-charge ratios (m/z) 181, 251 and180 were identifi ed and characterized by integrating experimental SERS data with DFT-calculated Raman spectra based on structures hypothesized from MS spectra. The fi ndings from HPLC–MS and SERS not only corroborate each other but also provide a foundation for a detailed examination of the DAAF degradation process.
