Effect of screening colonoscopy frequency on colorectal cancer mortality in patients with a family history of colorectal cancer

BACKGROUND Colorectal cancer is a common malignant tumor in China,and its incidence in the elderly is increasing *** bowel disease is a group of chronic non-specific intestinal inflammatory diseases,including ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s *** included the clinicopathological and follow-up data of patients with colorectal cancer who underwent laparoscopic colectomy or open colectomy at our Gastrointestinal Department between January 2019 and December *** indicators,oncological indicators,and survival rates were compared between the *** results of 104 patients who met the above criteria were extracted from the database(laparoscopic colectomy group=63,open colectomy group=41),and there were no statistically significant differences in the baseline data or follow-up time between the two *** Intraoperative blood loss,time to first ambulation,and time to first fluid intake were significantly lower in the laparoscopic colectomy group than in the open colectomy *** differences in overall mortality,tumor-related mortality,and recurrence rates between the two groups were not statistically significant,and survival analysis showed that the differences in the cumulative overall survival,tumor-related survival,and cumulative recurrence-free rates between the two groups were not statistically *** In elderly patients with colorectal cancer,laparoscopic colectomy has better short-term outcomes than open colectomy,and laparoscopic colectomy has superior long-term survival outcomes compared with open colectomy.

Effects of triaxial deformation on the fission barrier in the Z=118−120 nuclei

By using potential energy surface(PES)calculations in the three-dimensional space(β_(2),γ,β_(4))within the framework of the macroscopic-microscopic model,the fission trajectory and fission barrier for Z=118(Og),119,120 nuclei has been systematically *** calculated PES includes macroscopic liquid-drop energy,microscopic shell correction and pairing *** the ^(294)Og176 nucleus as an example,we discuss the next closed shell after Z=82 and N=126 with the calculated Woods-Saxon single-particle ***,the results of PES in ^(294)Og is illustrated from the(X,Y)scale to the(β_(2),γ)***γdegree of freedom reveals the shape evolution clearly during the fission *** structure near the minimum and saddle point of the PES in the Z=118,119,120 nuclei is demonstrated *** on the potential energy curves,general trends of the evolution of the fission barrier heights and widths are also *** triaxial deformation in these superheavy mass regions plays a vital role in the first fission barrier,showing a significant reduction in both triaxial *** addition,the model-dependent fission barriers of proton-rich nuclei ^(295)Og,296119,and 297120 are analyzed *** studies could be valuable for synthesizing the superheavy new elements in the forthcoming HIAF and other facilities.

为了研究碱激发低钙粉煤灰对弱膨胀土改良的作用效果,通过膨胀性试验、无侧限抗压强度试验、环境扫描电镜试验及X射线衍射分析仪(X-ray diffraction,XRD)物相分析试验研究不同掺量的碱性激发剂NaOH对低钙粉煤灰膨胀土力学性能的影响,对土体微观结构及孔隙形成特征进行分析量化,并基于XRD试验分析土体中矿物成分变化特征,揭示碱激发粉煤灰与土体之间的作用机理。结果表明:碱性激发剂可以提升粉煤灰的活性,加快水化反应,可以加快早期强度发展和提高后期强度;随着碱激发剂的增加,粉煤灰改良膨胀土的无侧限抗压强度先增后降,10%掺量的NaOH为最佳掺量;土体中孔隙类型复杂,碱激发改良土微观发现产生的凝胶可以填充孔隙,且和土体相互黏结,减少孔隙。NaOH作为激发剂,可以有效改善粉煤灰的活性,并提高膨胀土的基本特性。

BACKGROUND:The early diagnosis of acute myocardial infarction(AMI)remains challenging,especially for institutions without the high-sensitive cardiac troponin(hs-c Tn)***,we aim to assess the value of creatine kinase-myocardial band isoenzyme(CK-MB)combined with different cardiac troponin(c Tn)assays in AMI ***:This multicenter,observational study included 3,706 patients with acute chest pain from September 1,2015,to September 30,*** classified the participants into three groups according to the c Tn assays:the point-of-care c Tn(POC-c Tn)group,the contemporary c Tn(c-c Tn)group,and hs-c Tn *** diagnostic value was quantified using sensitivity and the area under the curve(AUC).RESULTS:Compared to the single POC-c Tn/c-c Tn assays,combining CK-MB and POC-c Tn/c-c Tn increased the diagnostic sensitivity of AMI(56.1%vs.63.9%,P0.999).In the subgroup analysis,the sensitivity of combining CKMB and c-c Tn increased with time from symptom onset6 h(97.5%vs.98.3%,P=0.317).The AUC of the combination of CK-MB and POC-c Tn significantly increased compared to the single POC-c Tn assay(0.776 vs.0.750,P=0.002).The AUC of the combined CKMB and c-c Tn/hs-c Tn assays did not significantly decrease compared with that of the single c-c Tn/hs-c Tn assays within 6 ***:The combination of CK-MB and POC-c Tn or c-c Tn may be valuable for the early diagnosis of AMI,especially when hs-c Tn is not available.

Enhancing Image Description Generation through Deep Reinforcement Learning:Fusing Multiple Visual Features and Reward Mechanisms

BACKGROUND Kawasaki disease(KD),also known as mucocutaneous lymph node syndrome,is an acute,self-limiting vasculitis of unknown aetiology that mainly involves the medium and small arteries and can lead to serious cardiovascular complications,with a 25%incidence of coronary artery ***–Sillar abscesses are a rare symptom of KD and is easily misdiagnosed at its early *** SUMMARY A 5-year-old boy who presented to a community hospital with a 3-d fever,difficulty in opening his mouth,and neck pain and was originally treated for throat infection without *** the basis of laboratory tests,ultrasound of submandibular and superficial lymph nodes and computed tomography of the neck,the clinician diagnosed the periamygdala abscess and sepsis that did not resolve after antibiotic *** the fifth day of admission,the child developed conjunctival congestion,prune tongue,perianal congestion and desquamation,and slightly stiff and swollen bunions on both feet.A diagnosis of KD was reached with complete remission after intravenous immunoglobulin *** Children with neck pain,lymph node enlargement,or airway obstruction as the main manifestations are poorly treated with intravenous broad-spectrum *** should not rush invasive operations such as neck puncture,incision,and drainage and should be alert for KD when it cannot be explained by deep neck space infection and early treatment with aspirin combined with gammaglobulin.

Enhanced photocatalytic performance by regulating the Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratio in cerium dioxide

Cerium dioxide(CeO_(2))photocatalysts are used in treating environmental pollution and addressing the energy crisis due to their excellent oxygen storage capacities and abundant oxygen *** this paper,CeO_(2)precursors were synthesized with different water-alcohol ratios via a solvothermal method,and CeO_(2)photocatalysts with different Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios were obtained by changing the precursor calcination atmospheres(air,Ar)as well as the calcination *** effects of CeO_(2)with different Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios in photocatalytic degradations of methylene blue under visible light were investigated.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed that the surfaces of the samples calcined under Ar had higher Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios and oxygen vacancy concentrations,which reduced the band gaps of the catalysts and improved their utilization of visible *** addition,the many Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)redox centers and oxygen vacancies on the sample surfaces improved the separation and transfer efficiencies of the photogenerated *** sample C2-Ar calcined under Ar showed a high adsorption capacity and excellent photocatalytic activity by removing 96%of the methylene blue within 120 min,which was more than twice the degradation rate of the sample(C2-air)prepared via calcination under *** experiments showed that photogenerated holes played a key role in the photocatalytic *** addition,a synergistic photocatalytic mechanism for the Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)redox centers and oxygen vacancies was elucidated in detail,and the sensitization of cerium dioxide by dyes aided the degradation of methylene blue.

Rheological Behaviors of Polymers with Nanoparticles Tethered at Each End

The polymer with nanoparticles tethered at each end is a unique model for unraveling the effect of chain ends on the polymer dynamics. We investigated the rheological behavior of this kind of polymer by using nonequilibrium molecular dynamics simulation. The effect of polymer lengths and nanoparticle radii on the complex moduli and viscosity was examined. The dependence of complex moduli on the frequency becomes less pronounced as the polymer is short or the nanoparticle is large. The shear thinning behavior was revealed for these systems, and the scaling exponent of complex viscosity with respect to the frequency was found to change from-1/2 to-3/4 as the polymer shortens or the nanoparticle enlarges. The rheological behavior was further explained by analyzing the mean square distance of nanoparticles. The simulation results were compared with the existing experimental finding, showing an agreement. The work provides information for understanding the chain end effect on polymer rheology.

Two novel metal-organic frameworks(MOFs),JLU-MOF130([In(NH2−BDC)(Imi)(1H−Imi)]·DMF·H2O,NH2−H2BDC=2-aminobenzene-1,4-dicarboxylic acid,1H−Imi=1H-imidazole,DMF=N,N-dimethylformamide)and JLU-MOF131([In(1,4-NDC)(Imi)(1H−Imi)]·DMF0.5,1,4-H_(2)NDC=1,4-naphthalene-dicarboxylic acid),were ***-MOF130 features a three-dimensional(3D)architecture with a neb ***-MOF131 is characterized by a two-dimensional(2D)structure with an sql ***-MOF130 has excellent fluorescence detection performance towards Fe^(3+),2,4-dinitrophenol(2,4-DNP),and 2,4,6-trinitrophenol(TNP),but the fluorescence detection performance of JLU-MOF131 is further improved by converting NH2−H2BDC to more conjugated 1,4-H_(2)*** Stern-Volmer(SV)quenching constant(KSV)values of JLU-MOF130 sensing 2,4-DNP,TNP,and Fe^(3+)are 5.24×10^(4),4.44×10^(4),and 4.73×10^(3) L/mol,*** corresponding limit of detection(LOD)values are 1.17,1.36,and 14.59µmol/*** KSV values for JLU-MOF131 are 1.26×10^(5),9.02×10^(4),and 8.48×103 L/mol,and the corresponding LOD values are 0.35,0.42,and 3.60µmol/L,***,the emission wavelengths of the two MOFs obviously shift as the fluorescence emission intensities decrease upon the addition of 2,4-DNP and TNP,which can be applied in selective detection.
