Azoxystrobin acts as an inhibitor of electron transport by binding to the Qo center of cytochrome b （cyt b）. Resistance to azoxystrobin was usually caused by the point mutation of cyt b gene or by the induction of alternative respiration. Oxygen consumption test for mycelia of Colletotrichum capsici showed that azoxystrobin inhibited mycelial respiration within 12 h; however, as time went on, the respiration of the mycelia recovered when the mycelia were treated with azoxystrobin and salicylhydroxamic acid （SHAM, a known inhibitor of alternative respiration）, and the oxygen consumption of the mycelia could not be inhibited. Meanwhile, cytochrome b （cyt b） gene expression increased with the recovery of mycelial respiration. The increased cyt b gene expression might play a role in the development of resistance to azoxystrobin in C. capsici.

The spin-polarized MS-Xα method is employed to study the electronic structure and the magnetic property of the SmCo5 *** to the calculated results, the magnetic moment per Sm is 1.29μB in the SmCo5 compound, which agrees with that of *** analyzed result reveals that some negative exchange couplings occurring at six energy levels induce the distinct decrease of Curie temperature and the magnetic moment per *** valence electron numbers of 2.48, which are derived from the orbital hybridization from s, p, d and f functions between Sm and Co atoms, are transferred to Sm(5d0) ***, the exchange interactions between 3d ～ 5d electrons lead to the magnetic coupling between Sm and Co, which results in the long-range ferromagnetic-order inside the SmCo5 compound.

Hepatocelluar carcinoma presenting as a biliary duct tumor thrombus is a relatively rare entity, with poor prognosis. The primary clinical manifestation of this disease is obstructive jaundice, which can often be misdiagnosed. A 59-year-old female patient was admitted with sudden onset of abdominal pain. Laboratory tests suggested obstructive jaundice, and enhanced magnetic resonance imaging of the upper abdomen did not show obvious biliary dilatation. Endoscopic ultrasound and endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography suggested an occupying lesion in the upper bile duct. SpyGlass and biopsy finally confirmed hepatocellular carcinoma with right hepatic duct tumor thrombus hemorrhage. The SpyGlass Direct Visualization System, as an advanced biliary cholangioscopy device, showed the advantages of single-person operation as well as easy access to and visualization of the lesion.

Calcined Mg-AI Layered Double Hydroxide as a Heterogeneous Catalyst for the Synthesis of Urea Derivatives from Amines and CO2

The calcined Mg-A1 layered double hydroxides （LDHs） with a Mg/A1 molar ratio of 3 ： 1 were synthesized and characterized thoroughly by X-ray diffraction （XRD）, temperature-programmed desorption （TPD） of CO2, and thermogravimetric analysis （TGA）. Thus the calcined Mg-A1 LDHs were used as catalyst for the catalytic synthesis of disubstituted ureas from amines and CO2. The effects of reaction time, reaction temperature, pressure, solvent and calcined temperature on activity have been investigated. The results indicated that aliphatic amines, cyclo- hexylamine and benzylamine can be converted to the corresponding ureas selectively over the calcined Mg-A1 LDHs catalysts with N-methyl-2-pyrrolidone （NMP） as solvent without using any dehydrating regent. The catalyst can be recycled several times with only slight loss of activity.

In this paper the ethanol homogeneous charge compression ignition (HCCI) is achieved in a modified single cylinder engine by means of a self-developed fast thermal management system (FTMS), and the ethanol SI/HCCI operation regions are defined. It can be concluded that the thermal efficiency is higher and the NOx emission is lower in the HCCI operation region. In addition, the maximum NOx emission drops by 98%. The ethanol SI/HCCI combustion mode transition is conducted in different conditions near the SI/HCCI operation boundaries. It is likely to realize the transition by the utilization of FTMS. However, it is impossible to complete the transition within one operating cycle under current operation conditions. There are fluctuations in engine speed and brake mean effective pressure during the transition process. In order to reduce the fluctuations during the transition, the initial work concerning the effects of the spark ignition on the transition smoothness is carried out and the investigation indicates that the engine speed and brake mean effective pressure fluctuations cannot be eradicated only through spark ignition. Therefore, the control strategies combined with other factors should be further optimized.

Objective:To examine the values of endoscopic ultrasonography (EUS) on diagnosis and treatment of esophageal hamartoma. Methods:We compared and analyzed various kinds of imaging examinations such as barium esophagram, con-trast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) and conventional gastroscopy in retrospectively reviewing the clinical data of an esophageal hamartoma patient seen in our clinic in the First Affiliated Hospital, School of Medicine, Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, China. Having received various imaging examinations, this patient was finally diagnosed with esophageal hamartoma and underwent gastroscopic resection of hamartoma with the diagnostic information obtained from EUS. The patient had been regularly followed up for 13 months after treatment. Results: Barium esophagram, CT and conventional gastroscopy detected the lesion, but were unable to distinguish it from common esophagopolypus and other submucosal lesions, and unable to determine etiopathogenisis. EUS detected the hamartoma and identified its internal structure, echo, exact size, depth of invasion, origin and the relationship between adjacent tissues and organs, differentiating the lesion from other submucosal tumors and clearly defining the diagnosis. EUS-guided fine needle aspiration (FNA) also helped to identify the etiological diagnosis. Conclusion: EUS was superior to other imaging means in diagnosis and treatment of hamartoma.

Objective To compare the ileal digestibility of protein and amino acids in parental rice and rice genetically modified with sck gene. Methods Six experimental swines were surgically fixed with a simple T-cannula at the terminal ileum and fed with parental rice and rice genetically modified with sck gene alternately. The ileum digesta were collected and analyzed for determination of apparent and true digestibility of protein and amino acids. Results The apparent and true digestibility of protein was similar in these two types of rice. Except for the apparent digestibility of lysine, there was no difference in the apparent and true digestibility of the other 17 amino acids. Conclusion The digestibility of protein and amino acids is not changed by the insertion of foreign gene, so it can meet the request of ＂substantial equivalence＂ in digestibility of protein and amino acids.
