Three-dimensional numerical simulation on the coseismic deformation of the 2008 M_S8.0 Wenchuan earthquake in China

Based on the finite element numerical algorithm, the coseismic displacements of the Wenchuan Ms8.0 earthquake are calculated with the rupture slip vectors derived by Ji and Hayes as well as Nishimura and Yaji. Except in a narrow strip around the rupture zone, the coseismic displacements are consistent with those from GPS observation and InSAR interpretation. Numerical results show that rupture slip vectors and elastic properties have profound influences on the surface coseismic deformation, Results from models with different elastic parameters indicate that：（1） in homogeneous elastic medium, the surface displacements are weakly dependent on Poisson＇s ratio and independent of the elastic modulus; （2） in horizontally homogeneous medium with a weak zone at its middle, the thickness of the weak zone plays a significant role on calculating the surface displacements; （3） in horizontally and vertically heterogeneous medium, the surface displacements depend on both Poisson＇s ratio and elastic modulus. Calculations of eoseismic deformation should take account of the spatial variation of the elastic properties. The misfit of the numerical results with that from the GPS observations in the narrow strip around the rupture zone suggests that a much more complicated rupture model of the Wenchuan earthquake needs to be established in future study.

Thermal Expansion Behavior of Amorphous Fe-Si-B Alloys

To study the thermal expansion of amorphous Fe-Si-B alloys, the amorphous Fe1.8Si9B1.3 and Fe73.5Nb3-CU1Si13.5B3 and their crystallized alloys were detected using thermal dilatometer. The results indicate that at the same temperature, the relative length change （ΔL/L0） values of the two Fe-based amorphous alloys decrease with increasing heating rate, but those of their crystallized alloys show an opposite trend. It is concluded that the effect of heating rate on the ΔL/L0 of amorphous and crystallized alloys is related to free volume and defects, respectively.

A multiple user sharing behaviors based approach for fake file detection in P2P environments

File pollution is a problem that is threatening security and availability in peer-to-peer environments, and could eventually be fatal to the survival of these systems. Current methods of fake file detection, which are based on trust mechanisms or file characteristics, do not consider the problems such as interference of multiple user sharing behaviors, the difficulty in obtaining large amounts of raw data, and malicious fraud immediately after version publication. This is the first time that differences in the sharing habits of users and particularly long retention time for individual files have been detected, which impact fake file detection. This paper proposes a pollution prevention model based on multiple user sharing behaviors, which reduces interference in multiple user sharing behaviors and malicious fraud immediately after version publication. It designs a low-cost implementation mechanism for use in structured peer-to-peer networks, which automatically collects a large amount of user file-sharing information and alleviates difficulties in obtaining large quantities of raw data. A parameter configuration is also given in this paper. Simulation experiments use realistic system logs and prove that this approach detects fake files accurately and quickly, thus decreasing download times of fake files, effectively guaranteeing almost 100% real file downloads and resisting file pollution.

Novel insights for high mobility group box 1 proteinmediated cellular immune response in sepsis:A systemic review

High mobility group box 1 protein （HMGB1） is a highly conserved, ubiquitous protein in the nuclei and cytoplasm of nearly all cell types. HMGB1 is secreted into the extracellular milieu and acts as a proinflammatory cytokine. In this article we reviewed briefly the cellular immune response mediated by HMGB1 in inflammation and sepsis. This systemic review is mainly based on our own work and other related reports HMGB1 can actively affect the immune functions of many types of cells including T lymphocytes, regulatory T cells （Tregs）, dendritic cells （DCs）, macrophages, and natural killer cells （NK cells）. Various cellular responses can be mediated by HMGB1 which binds to cell-surface receptors [e.g., the receptor for advanced glycation end products （RAGE）, Toll-like receptor （TLR）2, and TLR4]. Anti-HMGB1 treatment, such as anti-HMGB1 polyclonal or monoclonal antibodies, inhibitors （e.g., ethyl pyruvate） and antagonists （e.g., A box）, can protect against sepsis lethality and give a wider window for the treatment opportunity. HMGB1 is an attractive target for the development of new therapeutic strategies in the treatment of patients with septic complications.

Determinants of Calcium Infusion Rate During Continuous Veno-venous Hemofiltration with Regional Citrate Anticoagulation in Critically III Patients with Acute Kidney Injury

Background： It is unclear that how to decide the calcium infusion rate during continuous veno-venous hemofiltration （CVVH） with regional citrate anticoagulation （RCA）. This study aimed to assess the determinants of calcium infusion rate during CVVH with RCA in critically ill patients with acute kidney injury （AKI）. Methods： A total of 18 patients with AKI requiring CVVH were prospectively analyzed. Postdilution CVVH was performed with a fixed blood flow rate of 150 ml/min and a replacement fluid flow rate of 2000 ml/h for each new circuit. The infusion of 4% trisodium citrate was started at a rate of 29.9 mmol/h prefilter and adjusted according to postfilter ionized calcium. The infusion of 10% calcium gluconate was initiated at a rate of 5.5 mmol/h and adjusted according to systemic ionized calcium. The infusion rate of trisodium citrate and calcium gluconate as well as ultrafiltrate flow rate were recorded at 1, 2, 4, 6, 12, and 24 h after starting CVVH respectively. The calcium loss rate by CVVH was also calculated. Results： Fifty-seven sessions of CVVH were performed in 18 AKI patients. The citrate infusion rate, calcium loss rate by CVVH, and calcium infusion rate were 31.30 （interquartile range： 2.70）, 4.60 ± 0.48, and 5.50 ± 0.35 retool/h, respectively. The calcium infusion rate was significantly higher than that of calcium loss rate by CVVH （P 〈 0.01）. The correlation coefficient between the calcium and citrate infusion rates, and calcium infusion and calcium loss rates by CVVH was -0.031 （P 〉 0.05） and 0.932 （P 〈 0.01）, respectively. In addition, calcium infusion rate （mmol/h） = 1.77 ± 0.8 x （calcium loss rate by CVVH, mmol/h）. Conclusions： The calcium infusion rate correlates significantly with the calcium loss rate by CVVH but not with the citrate infusion rate in a fixed blood flow rate during CVVH with RCA.

Basal cell carcinoma of the scrotum： report of a case and review of the literature

Basal cell carcinoma （BCC） is the most common cancer of the skin. However, BCC occurring onnon-sun-exposed sites, especially the genital regions such as scrotum and labia, are very rare. An estimated annual incidence of basal cell carcinoma of the scrotum is 1 per 1 000000 population. Here, we report a man with scrotal BCC with the lesion for 51 years, the longest one in the documents. He was successfully treated by circumferential excision.

Treatment of abdominal compartment syndrome in severe acute pancreatitis patients with traditional Chinese medicine

AIM: To investigate the therapeutic effect of traditional Chinese traditional medicines Da Cheng Qi Decoction (Timely-Purging and Yin-Preserving Decoction) and Glauber's salt combined with conservative measures on abdominal compartment syndrome (ACS) in severe acute pancreatitis (SAP) patients. METHODS: Eighty consecutive SAP patients, admitted for routine non-operative conservative treatment, were randomly divided into study group and control group (40 patients in each group). Patients in the study group received Da Cheng Qi Decoction enema for 2 h and external use of Glauber's salt, once a day for 7 d. Patients in the control group received normal saline (NS) enema. Routine non-operative conservative treatments included non-per os nutrition (NPON), gastrointestinal decompression, life support, total parenteral nutrition (TPN), continuous peripancreatic vascular pharmaceutical infusion and drug therapy. Intra-cystic pressure (ICP) of the two groups was measured during treatment. The effectiveness and outcomes of treatment were observed and APACHE Ⅱ scores were applied in analysis. RESULTS: On days 4 and 5 of treatment, the ICP was lower in the study group than in the control group(P lief time, ascites quantity, cyst formation rate and hospitalization time were quite different between the two groups (P lity rate for the two groups had no significant difference. CONCLUSION: Da Cheng Qi Decoction enema and external use of Glauber's salt combined with routine non-operative conservative treatment can decrease the intra-abdominal pressure (IAP) of SAP patients and have preventive and therapeutic effects on abdominal compartment syndrome of SAP.

The purpose aims to improve the plate shearing section quality and metal yield by means of optimal blade clearance adjustment model of rolling-cut shear and accurate calculation of the maximum shearing force , as well as for the system optimization design , structure optimization design to provide important basis.A 3 500mm rolling shear of a large stainless steel factory was taken as the test object , and the blade clearance under different influence factors of the clearance value and the shearing section were *** optimized production accumulated data regression analysis and the rolling shear process of stainless steel shear *** test results show that the optimal blade clearance adjustment module is a comprehensive function , which include steel plate thickness , material , temperature and shear plate *** shear stress at starting stage with the relative penetration depth increases affected by the above factors , and the fracture peak decreases rapidly after being cut into the roll phase constant.
