Constructing a S-scheme heterojunction with tight interface contact and fast charge transfer is beneficial to improving the photocatalytic hydrogen evolution ***,a unique one-dimensional(1D)/two-dimensional(2D)S-scheme heterojunction containing 1D Sb_(2)S_(3) nanorods and 2D ZnIn_(2)S_(4) with affluent sulfur vacancies(denoted as Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4)@Sb_(2)S_(3)) was *** introduced sulfur vacancy can promote the effective adsorption of H+for the following interfacial hydrogen-evolution ***,the larger contact area and stronger electron interaction between Sb_(2)S_(3) and ZnIn_(2)S_(4) effectively inhibits the recombination of photo-generated electron–hole pairs and abridges the migration distance of *** a result,the optimal Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4)@Sb_(2)S_(3) sample achieves H_(2) evolution activity of 2741.3 mol·h^(−1)·g^(−1),which is 8.6 times that of pristine ZnIn_(2)S_(4) and 3.0 times that of the Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4) *** on the experimental result,the photo-reactivity S-scheme mechanism of hydrogen evolution from water splitting with Sv-ZnIn_(2)S_(4)@Sb_(2)S_(3) is *** work provides an effective method for developing S-scheme heterojunction composites of transition metal sulfide with high hydrogen evolution performance.

The unexpected scaling phenomena have resulted in significant damages to the oil and gas industries,leading to issues such as heat exchanger failures and pipeline clogging. It is of practical and fundamental importance to understand the scaling mechanisms and develop efficient anti-scaling strategies. However,the underlying surface interaction mechanisms of scalants(e.g., calcite) with various substrates are still not fully understood. In this work, the colloidal probe atomic force microscopy(AFM) technique has been applied to directly quantify the surface forces between calcite particles and different metallic substrates,including carbon steel(CR1018), low alloy steel(4140), stainless steel(SS304) and tungsten carbide,under different water chemistries(i.e., salinity and p H). Measured force profiles revealed that the attractive van der Waals(VDW) interaction contributed to the attachment of the calcium carbonate particles on substrate surfaces, while the repulsive electric double layer(EDL) interactions could inhibit the attachment behaviors. High salinity and acidic p H conditions of aqueous solutions could weaken the EDL repulsion and promote the attachment behavior. The adhesion of calcite particles with CR1018 and4140 substrates was much stronger than that with SS304 and tungsten carbide substrates. The bulk scaling tests in aqueous solutions from an industrial oil production process showed that much more severe scaling behaviors of calcite was detected on CR1018 and 4140 than those on SS304 and tungsten carbide, which agreed with surface force measurement results. Besides, high salinity and acidic p H can significantly enhance the scaling phenomena. This work provides fundamental insights into the scaling mechanisms of calcite at the nanoscale with practical implications for the selection of suitable antiscaling materials in petroleum industries.

Due to a series of challenges such as low-orbit maintenance of satellites, the air-breathing electric propulsion has got widespread attention. Commonly, the radio frequency ion thruster is favored by low-orbit missions due to its high specific impulse and efficiency. In this paper, the power transfer efficiency of the radio frequency ion thruster with different gas compositions is studied experimentally, which is obtained by measuring the radio frequency power and current of the antenna coil with and without discharge operation. The results show that increasing the turns of antenna coils can effectively improve the radio frequency power transfer efficiency, which is due to the improvement of Q factor. In pure N_2 discharge,with the increase of radio frequency power, the radio frequency power transfer efficiency first rises rapidly and then exhibits a less steep increasing trend. The radio frequency power transfer efficiency increases with the increase of gas pressure at relatively high power, while declines rapidly at relatively low power. In N_(2)/O_(2) discharge, increasing the N_(2) content at high power can improve the radio frequency power transfer efficiency, but the opposite was observed at low power. In order to give a better understanding of these trends, an analytic solution in limit cases is utilized, and a Langmuir probe was employed to measure the electron density. It is found that the evolution of radio frequency power transfer efficiency can be well explained by the variation of plasma resistance, which is related to the electron density and the effective electron collision frequency.

With the development of the economy and the increasing demand for environmental protection,the efficient and selective recovery of Gd(Ⅲ)from actual wastewater is of critical *** this work,lanthanum-based metal-organic framework(LaBDC)materials were prepared by a hydrothermal method,and then polyethyleneimine(PEI)and LaBDC were combined by an impregnation method to form a novel LaBDC@xPEI *** prepared materials were characterized using Fourier transfo rm infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),X-ray diffraction(XRD),scanning electron microscopy(SEM),energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy(EDX),B runauer-Emmett-Teller(BET),thermogravimetric analysis(TGA)and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).Experiments show that LaBDC@50%PEI has the highest adsorption capacity(181.77 mg/g)among lanthanum-based MOFs with different PEI loadings at pH=5.5,which is about 5.1 times that of bare *** adsorption isotherm analysis shows that LaBDC@50%PEI follows the Langmuir *** addition,the adsorption kinetics of LaBDC@50%PEI follows a pseudo-second-order kinetic model,indicating that the adsorption process is chemical *** is worth noting that LaBDC@50%PEI maintains good adsorption performance and stability after three recycling tests,and exhibits excellent selectivity in cation interference ***,the LaBDC@50%PEI composites possess good stability and hold great promises in rapid recovery of Gd(Ⅲ)from practical aqueous environments.

Membrane technology has attracted considerable attention for chemical and medical applications,among *** organs play important roles in medical science.A membrane oxygenator,also known as artificial lung,can replenish O_(2) and remove CO_(2) of blood to maintain the metabolism of patients with cardiopulmonary ***,the membrane,a key component,is subjected to inferior gas transport property,leakage propensity,and insufficient *** this study,we report efficient blood oxygenation by using an asymmetric nanoporous membrane that is fabricated using the classic nonsolvent-induced phase separation method for polymer of intrinsic *** intrinsic superhydrophobic nanopores and asymmetric configuration endow the membrane with water impermeability and gas ultrapermeability,up to 3,500 and 1,100 gas permeation units for CO_(2) and O_(2),***,the rational hydrophobic–hydrophilic nature,electronegativity,and smoothness of the surface enable the substantially restricted protein adsorption,platelet adhesion and activation,hemolysis,and thrombosis for the ***,during blood oxygenation,the asymmetric nanoporous membrane shows no thrombus formation and plasma leakage and exhibits fast O_(2) and CO_(2) transport processes with exchange rates of 20 to 60 and 100 to 350 ml m^(−2) min^(−1),respectively,which are 2 to 6 times higher than those of conventional *** concepts reported here offer an alternative route to fabricate high-performance membranes and expand the possibilities of nanoporous materials for membrane-based artificial organs.

Quantum uncertainty relations constrain the precision of measurements across multiple non-commuting quantum mechanical ***,we introduce the concept of optimal observable sets and define the tightest uncertainty constants to accurately describe these measurement *** any quantum state,we establish optimal sets of three observables for both product and summation forms of uncertainty relations,and analytically derive the corresponding tightest uncertainty *** demonstrate that the optimality of these sets remains consistent regardless of the uncertainty relation ***,the existence of the tightest constants excludes the validity of standard real quantum mechanics,underscoring the essential role of complex numbers in this ***,our findings resolve the conjecture posed in[***.118,180402(2017)],offering novel insights and potential applications in understanding preparation uncertainties.

Carbonates are viewed as the principal oxidized carbon carriers during subduction,and thus the stability of subducted carbonates has significant implications for the deep carbon *** we investigate the high pressure-temperature behaviors of rhodochrosite in the presence of iron up to∼34 GPa by in-situ X-ray diffraction and ex-situ Raman *** relatively low temperature below∼1500 K,MnCO_(3)breaks down into MnO and CO_(2).Upon heating to∼1800 K,however,the MnCO_(3)-Fe^(0)reactions occur with the formation of Mn_(3)O_(4),Fe^(O)and reduced carbon.A'three-stage'reaction mechanism is proposed to understand the kinetics of the carbon-iron-manganese redox *** results suggest that Fe^(0)can serve as a reductant to greatly affect the stability of rhodochrosite,which implies that the effect of Fe-metal should be seriously considered for the high pressure-temperature behaviors of other predominant carbonates at Earth's mantle conditions,particularly at depths greater than∼250 km.

BACKGROUND The precise role of mitochondrial carrier homolog 2(MTCH2)in promoting malignancy in gastric mucosal cells and its involvement in gastric cancer cell metastasis have not been fully *** To determine the role of MTCH2 in gastric *** We collected 65 samples of poorly differentiated gastric cancer tissue and adjacent tissues,constructed MTCH2-overexpressing and MTCH2-knockdown cell models,and evaluated the proliferation,migration,and invasion of human gastric epithelial cells(GES-1)and human gastric cancer cells(AGS)*** mito-chondrial membrane potential(MMP),mitochondrial permeability transformation pore(mPTP)and ATP fluorescence probe were used to detect mitochondrial *** function and ATP synthase protein levels were detected via Western *** The expression of MTCH2 and ATP2A2 in gastric cancer tissues was significantly greater than that in adjacent *** of MTCH2 promoted colony formation,invasion,migration,MMP expression and ATP production in GES-1 and AGS cells while upregulating ATP2A2 expression and inhibiting cell apoptosis;knockdown of MTCH2 had the opposite effect,promoting overactivation of the mPTP and promoting *** MTCH2 can increase the malignant phenotype of GES-1 cells and promote the proliferation,invasion,and migration of gastric cancer cells by regulating mitochondrial function,providing a basis for targeted therapy for gastric cancer cells.

We utilize molecular dynamics simulations to investigate the microstructures of ions and polyelectrolytes in aqueous solutions under external electric *** focusing on the multi-body interactions between ionic components and H_(2)O molecules,as well as their responses to the external electric fields,we clarify several nontrivial molecular features of the ionic and polyelectrolyte solutions,such as the solvations of cations and anions,clustering of the ions,and dispersions/aggregations of polyelectrolyte chains,as well as the corresponding responses of H_(2)O molecules in these *** simulations illustrate the variations in structures of ionic solutions caused by reversing the charge sign of the ions,and elucidate the disparity in structures between anionic and cationic polyelectrolyte solutions in the presence of the external electric *** work clarifies the mechanism for the alternations in complex multi-body interactions in aqueous solutions caused by the application electric field,which can contribute to the fundamental understanding of the physical and chemical natures of ion-containing and charged polymeric systems.

The high-speed maglev vehicle/guideway coupled model is an essential simulation tool for investigating vehicle dynamics and mitigating coupled *** improve its accuracy efficiently,this study investigated a hierarchical model updating method integrated with field ***,a high-speed maglev vehicle/guideway coupled model,taking into account the real effect of guideway material properties and elastic restraint of bearings,was developed by integrating the finite element method,multi-body dynamics,and electromagnetic levitation ***,simultaneous in-site measurements of the vehicle/guideway were conducted on a high-speed maglev test line to analyze the system response and structural modal *** the hierarchical updating,an Elman neural network with the optimal Latin hypercube sampling method was used to substitute the FE guideway model,thus improving the computational *** multi-objective particle swarm optimization algorithm with the gray relational projection method was applied to hierarchically update the parameters of the guideway layer and magnetic force layer based on the measured modal parameters and the electromagnet vibration,***,the updated coupled model was compared with the field measurements,and the results demonstrated the model’s accuracy in simulating the actual dynamic response,validating the effectiveness of the updating method.
