Photo-controllable antifouling hydrogels embedded with AgNPs coated spiropyran functionalized mesoporous silica for long-term antibacterial activity

Silver nanoparticles(AgNPs)are widely used in antimicrobial ***,its easy aggregation and rapid loss hinder the effective *** address this issue,a novel stimuli-responsive antibacterial nanocomposite(Ag@SP-MSN)was developed based on spiropyran covalently conjugated mesoporous silica nanoparticles(284.6 nm)and AgNPs(27.1 nm)via strong electrostatic *** transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and atomic force microscopy(AFM)images proved the successful modification of AgNPs onto *** light-induced maximum loading amount towards AgNPs was calculated to be 95.0 wt.%after ultraviolet irradiation,while the amount of AgNPs released from Ag@SP-MSN was 94.4 wt.%under visible light in the aid of ammonia(0.1%,v/v).Upon cycled light irradiation,Ag@SP-MSN could recover 84.5 wt.%of AgNPs even after four *** proposed Ag@SP-MSN exhibited better antibacterial activity against both *** and *** than Ag@MSN under visible light illumination,indicating the efficient photo-responsive isomerization of ***,the Ag@SP-MSN embedded gel demonstrated outstanding antifouling ability even after 21 days when compared to AgNPs *** long-term photo-controllable antifouling property proved the excellent reversible absorption and release of Ag@SP-MSN towards *** work provides new insights into the safe utilization of nanomaterials,offering promising advancements to meet clinical antibacterial requirements.

Biomass‐derived carbon is a promising electrode material in energy storage ***,how to improve its low capacity and stability,and slow diffusion kinetics during lithium storage remains a *** this research,we propose a“self‐assembly‐template”method to prepare B,N codoped porous carbon(BN‐C)with a nanosandwich structure and abundant pyridinic N‐B *** nanosandwich structure can increase powder density and cycle stability by constructing a stable solid electrolyte interphase film,shortening the li^(+)diffusion pathway,and accommodating volume expansion during repeated charging/*** abundant pyridinic N‐B species can simultaneously promote the adsorption/desorption of li^(+)/PF_(6)^(−)and reduce the diffusion *** BN‐C electrode showed a high lithium‐ion storage capacity of above 1140 mAh g^(−1)at 0.05 A g^(−1)and superior stability(96.5%retained after 2000 cycles).Moreover,owing to the synergistic effect of the nanosandwich structure and pyridinic N‐B species,the assembled symmetrical BN‐C//BN‐C full cell shows a high energy density of 234.7Wh kg^(−1),high power density of 39.38 kW kg−1,and excellent cycling stability,superior to most of the other cells reported in the *** the density functional theory simulation demonstrated,pyridinic N‐B shows enhanced adsorption activity for li^(+)and PF_(6)^(−),which promotes an increase in the capacity of the anode and cathode,***,the relatively lower diffusion barrier of pyridinic N‐B promotes li^(+)migration,resulting in good rate ***,this study provides a new approach for the synergistic modulation of a nanostructure and an active site simultaneously to fabricate the carbon electrode material in energy storage devices.

Glaciers have retreated and shrunk in High Mountain Asia since the mid-20th century because of global warming,leading to glacier instability and hazardous iceesnow ***,the complex relationship between iceesnow avalanches and factors such as climate and potential triggers are difficult to understand because of the lack of observational ***,we addressed iceesnow avalanches on the Annapurna Ⅱ glacier in Nepal,Central *** constructed an iceesnow avalanche history using long-term multi-source remote sensing images(1988-2021)and mapped the velocity fields of glaciers using cross-correlation analysis on SAR and optical ***,we investigated the impact of climate change and earthquakes on the frequency and size of iceesnow *** results demonstrate that the frequency of iceesnow avalanches has increased from 10 in 1988 to 27 in 2020,but the average area of iceesnow avalanche deposits has decreased by approximately 70%,from 3.4×10^(5) m^(2) in 1988 to 1.2×10^(5) m^(2) in *** evolutionary characteristic of ice avalanches is linked to the impact of glacier retreat(reduction in ice material supply)and increased activity under climate *** glacier movement velocity controls the size of iceesnow avalanches and can be set as an indicator for iceesnow avalanche *** the Annapurna Ⅱ glacier,an iceesnow avalanche occurred when the glacier velocities were greater than 1.5 m d^(-1).These results offer insights into iceesnow avalanche risk assessment and prediction in high-mountain areas,particularly in regions characterised by dense glacier distribution.

Currently,the major therapy for patients with ovarian cancer includes post-cytoreductive surgery followed by chemotherapy of carboplatin or cisplatin plus *** rise of drug resistance is a substantial factor in cancer recurrence and mortality among ovarian cancer patients receiving cisplatin ***147 is widely expressed in a variety of cancer tissues1 and recognized as a drug target for its antibody drug licartin which has been approved by China’s National Medicines and Pharmaceutical Administration.2 Even though many studies reported that CD147 is involved in the cisplatin resistance of varieties of cancers,3 its mechanism remains *** this investigation,we uncovered a distinctive mechanism by which CD147 regulates cisplatin resistance through the proteasomal degradation of the transcription factor FOXM1,which is associated with DNA damage repair,in ovarian cancer *** results suggest that targeting CD147 may have therapeutic implications for increasing cisplatin efficiency in the management of ovarian cancer.

Voltage-dependent P-Q Reserve Capacity Evaluation for TSO-DSO Interface Considering Uncertainties of DGs and FLs

Increasing distributed generators(DGs)and flexible loads(FLs)enable distribution systems to provide both active and reactive power reserves(P-Q reserves)in supporting the frequency and voltage regulations of transmission ***,such requirements at the interface between the transmission system operator(TSO)and distribution system operator(DSO)affect the distribution system operation security,considering the uncertainties of DGs and *** exploit the reserve potential of distribution systems,this paper investigates the voltagedependent P-Q reserve capacity(V-PQRC)of such types of distribution systems.V-PQRC reflects the feasible space of PQ reserves that the DSO can provide to the TSO taking the voltage deviation limit at TSO-DSO interface into consideration,while ensuring the distribution system operation security under uncertainties of DGs and *** evaluation method for VPQRC at the TSO-DSO interface is *** improve the robust performance of the evaluation method,the DG uncertainty is captured by a generalized ambiguity set and the FL uncertainty is addressed by designing a constrained sliding mode controller(CSMC).Three objectives are considered in the evaluation,i.e.,P reserve capacity,Q reserve capacity,and the voltage deviation limit at the TSO-DSO ***,a multiobjective optimization model integrating the generalized robust chance-constrained optimization and CSMC(GRCC-CSMC)is established for V-PQRC evaluation to obtain the Pareto optimal reserve ***,a non-approximated selecting(NAS)method is proposed to build up a simplified V-PQRC linear model,which can be convenient to apply in the transmissiondistribution system *** results reveal that the V-PQRC evaluation method can achieve a good performance of accuracy and robustness against uncertainties.

Anomalies of Precipitation over China on Days with Tropical Cyclone Activity over the Bay of Bengal: Role of Moisture Transport

Tropical cyclones over the Bay of Bengal(BoBTC)affect the precipitation over China,with distinct seasonal and daily *** study quantitatively examines the daily standardized precipitation anomalies(SPAs)over China on the days with BoBTC activities(storm-days)and related circulations,based on rainfall measurements at surface meteorological stations and ECMWF reanalysis data on a 0.25°×0.25°resolution during *** positive SPA is found over the stations in the two adjacent regions around BoB(Southwest China in May/November and southern Tibetan Plateau in October)and three distant regions(Southeast China and the northeastern boundary of the Qinghai-Tibet Plateau in May,and central North China in October).The SPA distributions are remarkably consistent with the integrated water vapor transport(IVT)*** IVT is found associated with the interaction between southwesterly(southerly)of the BoBTC circulation and low-level monsoonal flow in May(midlevel westerly in winter months).The probabilities of extreme precipitation(EP)occurrences over the above regions all increase on *** adjacent regions,EP is significantly correlated with the northward IVT anomalies to the east of BoBTC circulation,which strengthen the water vapor input through the southern *** IVT anomalies are stronger in May,benefited by the deep monsoonal southwesterlies than those in *** distant regions,EP is more closely related to the IVT anomaly extending back from *** moisture from BoB concentrates along a local low-level convergence line over Southeast China,being further facilitated by coexistence of the BoBTC depression and midlevel westerly trough in *** results highlight the interactions between BoBTCs and local weather systems that influence the general precipitation anomalies and occurrence of EP over China,especially over distant regions.

Finite-Time Fuzzy Adaptive Output Feedback Resilient Control of Nonlinear Cyber-Physical Systems with Sensor Attacks and Actuator Faults

This paper studies the finite-time fuzzy adaptive output feedback resilient control problem for nonlinear cyber-physical systems(CPSs) with sensor attacks and actuator *** logic systems(FLSs) are used to approximate the unknown nonlinear functions,and a fuzzy state observer is constructed to estimate the unmeasured *** combining the Nussbaum function with the backstepping control design technique,a fuzzy adaptive resilient control scheme is designed to successfully address the effects of sensor attacks and actuator *** is proved that the controlled system is semi-global practical finite-time stability(SGPFS),and the tracking error converges to a small neighborhood of the origin in a finite time ***,the simulation and comparison results further demonstrate the effectiveness of the designed control method.

Identi?cation and Analysis of the Intermediates from Photodegradation of 3,3′-diamino-4,4′-azoxyfurazan (DAAF)by SERS and HPLC–MS/MS

Understanding the structural changes and degradation mechanisms of organic pollutants is critical in environmental *** this work, a xenon lamp was used as an analog light source to simulate the eff ect of sunlight on 3,3′-diamino-4,4′-azoxyfurazan (DAAF) in aqueous solution. Combining high-performance liquid chromatography coupled with tandem mass spectrometry (HPLC–MS/MS), surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS) with density functional theory (DFT), the degradation intermediates and mechanisms of DAAF were investigated. The sequential breakdown of the–NH 2and–O–N=bonds, followed by the removal of atomic O from–N=N(O)–, was emphasized and investigated using two-dimensional correlation spectroscopy (2D-COS) and SERS spectra. Three intermediates with mass-to-charge ratios (m/z) 181, 251 and180 were identifi ed and characterized by integrating experimental SERS data with DFT-calculated Raman spectra based on structures hypothesized from MS spectra. The fi ndings from HPLC–MS and SERS not only corroborate each other but also provide a foundation for a detailed examination of the DAAF degradation process.

A series of palladium-modified(Pd-modified)CuO-ZnO-Al_(2)O_(3)(CZA)catalysts with various Pd loadings(0.3 wt%to 2.4 wt%)were prepared using the wetness impregnation method,on two CZA supports with different structures that are CZA-aged precursor composed of a mixture of zincian-malachite and hydrotalcite-like phases(CZA-zH),and CuO-ZnO-Al_(2)O_(3)metal oxide nanoparticles(CZA-MO).Enhancement on catalytic activity can be observed on both Pd-modified CZA catalysts in a temperature range of 180-240℃for methanol synthesis via CO_(2)***/CZA-zH catalysts exhibited a more efficient and stable production of methanol at a relatively low reaction temperature of 180℃for 100 hrs of *** improvement of activity is mainly ascribed to a higher surface area and abundant oxygen-containing functional groups(e.g.,-OH)of CZA-zH support,which is beneficial for better adsorption and distribution of Pd *** temperature programmed reduction and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results demonstrated a better interaction between Pd and Cu on Pd/CZA-zH catalysts via enhanced reducibility of CuO,and peak shift of Cu to a lower binding *** difference in the efficient utilization of hydrogen spillover effect of Pd promoter over two CZA supports resulted in the different performances for methanol synthesis under mild reaction co℃nditions.
