AIM:To isolate and identify the conjunctival microbiota of cataract patients and analyze the associated influencing ***:This study recruited 216 participants(216 eyes)from April 2022 to July *** the condition of no antibiotic use prior to cataract surgery,sterile swabs were used to collect samples from the lower conjunctival *** cultures were then conducted,followed by species identification through 16S rDNA gene *** factors associated with positive or negative bacterial isolation rates were analyzed,including age,gender,meibomian gland dysfunction(MGD),history of hypertension,history of diabetes,history of cancer,history of infectious diseases and the habit of wearing ***:Among the 216 eyes,78 eyes yielded isolates,with an isolation rate of 36.11%,detecting a total of 122 ***-positive rods accounted for 49.18%(60 strains),gram-positive cocci accounted for 45.08%(55 strains),gram-negative bacteria accounted for 4.92%(6 strains),and fungi accounted for 0.82%(1 strain).This study found that the most abundant genera in the conjunctival sac were Corynebacterium(42.62%),Staphylococcus(31.15%),Micrococcus(9.84%),Acinetobacter(4.10%),and Bacillus(3.28%).Furthermore,age(P=0.006),gender(P=0.039),diabetes(P=0.003),history of infectious diseases(P=0.02),and duration of mask replacement(P<0.001)were important factors influencing the positive bacterial culture of the conjunctival *** hypertensive patients exhibited a higher isolation rate of conjunctival bacteria,it did not reach statistical significance,and the history of cancer did not affect the isolation rate of the conjunctival microbial community in cataract patients before ***:Potential changes are observed in the conjunctival microbiota among a sample of middleaged and elderly individuals from Beijing,***,an increased isolation rate of Corynebacterium and Micrococcus is detected,suggesting a possible change in the mic

In the era of time-domain,multi-messenger astronomy,the detection of transient events on the high-energy electromagnetic sky has become more important than *** gravitational wave high-energy electromagnetic counterpart all-sky monitor(GECAM)is a dedicated mission to monitor gamma-ray transients,launched in December,2020.A real-time on-board trigger and location software,using the traditional signal-to-noise ratio(SNR)method for blind search,is constrained to relatively bright signals due to the limitations in on-board computing resources and the need for real-time *** this work,we developed a ground-based pipeline for GECAM to search for various transients,especially for weak bursts missed by on-board *** pipeline includes both automatic and manual mode,offering options for blind search and targeted *** targeted search is specifically designed to search for interesting weak bursts,such as gravitational wave-associated gamma-ray bursts(GRBs).From the ground search of the data in the first year,GECAM has been triggered by 54 GRBs and other transients,including soft gamma-ray repeaters,X-ray binaries,solar flares,terrestrial gamma-ray *** report the properties of each type of triggers,such as trigger time and light *** this search pipeline and assuming a soft Band spectrum,the GRB detection sensitivity of GECAM is increased to about 1.1×10^(-8)erg cm^(-2)s^(-1)(10-1000 ke V,burst duration of 20 s).These results demonstrate that the GECAM ground search system(both blind search and targeted search)is a versatile pipeline to recover true astrophysical signals which were too weak to be found in the on-board search.

Oral delivery of protein and peptide drugs presents considerable challenges due to their susceptibility to digestive enzymes in gastrointestinal(Gl)tract and low efficiency of transepithelial ***,inspired by efficient absorption of protein-based nutrients,we constructed several kinds of oral drug delivery systems by mimicking natural amino acid and oligopeptide absorption *** kinds of amino acids and two kinds of oligopeptides were chosen as targeting ligands to mediate transportation of orally administered nanoparticles(NPs).liraglutide(lira),a kind of glucagon like peptide-1(GLP-1)receptor agonist,was used as model *** functionalized NPs could protect lira from enzymatic degradation in Gl ***,compared with amino acid-modified NPs,oligopeptide-modified NPs exhibited greater transepithelial transport efficiency and were primarily absorbed in the proximal small intestine due to the high expression and transportation mediated by proton coupled oligopeptide transporter 1(PEPT1).These lira-loaded NPs could effectively control the blood glucose level,reduce plasma lipid level,and repair tissue damage on type 2 diabetic mice and even showed comparable hypoglycemic effects of subcutaneous injection(s.c.)free *** study demonstrates the potential of mimicking natural oligopeptide absorption route to enhance oral delivery of protein and peptide drugs.

To mitigate the challenges in managing the damage level of reinforced concrete(RC)pier columns subjected to cyclic reverse loading,this study conducted a series of cyclic reverse tests on RC pier *** analyzing the outcomes of destructive testing on various specimens and fine-tuning the results with the aid of the IMK(Ibarra Medina Krawinkler)recovery model,the energy dissipation capacity coefficient of the pier columns were able to be ***,utilizing the calibrated damage model parameters,the damage index for each specimen were *** on the obtained damage levels,three distinct pre-damage conditions were designed for the pier columns:minor damage,moderate damage,and severe *** study then predicted the variations in hysteresis curves and damage indices under cyclic loading *** experimental findings reveal that the displacement at the top of the pier columns can serve as a reliable indicator for controlling the damage level of pier columns ***,the calibrated damage index model exhibits proficiency in accurately predicting the damage level of RC pier columns under cyclic loading.

The first 2^(+)excited states of the nucleus directly reflect the interaction between the shell structure and the nucleus,providing insights into the validity of the shell model and nuclear structure *** the features of the first 2^(+)excited states can be measured for stable nuclei and calculated using nuclear models,significant uncertainty *** study employs a machine learning model based on a light gradient boosting machine(lightGBM)to investigate the first 2^(+)excited ***,the training of the lightGBM algorithm and the prediction of the first 2^(+)properties of 642 nuclei are ***,detailed comparisons of the lightGBM predictions were performed with available experimental data,shell model calculations,and Bayesian neural network *** results revealed that the average difference between the lightGBM predictions and the experimental data was 18 times smaller than that obtained by the shell model and only 70%of the BNN prediction *** Mg,Ca,Kr,Sm,and Pb isotopes as examples,it was also observed that lightGBM can effectively reproduce the magic number mutation caused by shell effects,with the energy being as low as 0.04 MeV due to shape ***,we believe that leveraging lightGBM-based machine learning can profoundly enhance our insights into nuclear structures and provide new avenues for nuclear physics research.

The impact of cryorolling(CR)and room temperature rolling(RTR)followed by artificial aging on the corrosion characteristics of 2195 Al−li alloy(AA2195)was *** electron microscope,scanning electron microscope,optical microscope,intergranular corrosion experiment,and electrochemical experiment were *** different stages of aging treatment,the corrosion behavior of both CR and RTR samples exhibited a sequential progression of pitting corrosion,followed by intergranular corrosion,and then pitting corrosion *** corrosion rates of both samples initially showed an increase,followed by a gradual stabilization over *** size and density of T1 phase significantly influenced the corrosion performance of the *** the peak aging and over-aging stages,the CR sample exhibited superior corrosion resistance to the RTR sample,attributed to its finer T1 phase.
