A series of poly（2-acetoxyethyl methacrylate）/polystyrene（PAEMA/PS） latex interpenetrating polymer networks（liPNs） were prepared by seeded soap-free emulsion polymerization of styrene on the crosslinked PAEMA seed particles using an oil-soluble *** PAEMA/PS liPNs showed a well-defined phase-separated structure with PS phase dispersing in continuous PAEMA *** domain size of PS phase was found to depend on the crosslinking degree of PAEMA seed particles and the amount of second-stage styrene monomer.

Validation of Reference Genes for Quantitative Real-Time PCR in Laodelphax striatellus

The normalization of quantitative real-time PCR （qPCR） is important to obtain accurate gene expression data, and the most common method for qPCR normalization is to use reference genes. However, reference genes can be regulated under different conditions, qPCR has recently been used for gene expression study in Laodelphax striatellus, but there is no study on validation of the reference genes. In this study, five new housekeeping genes （LstrTUB1, LstrTUB2, LstrTUB3, LstrARF and LstrRPL9） in L. striatellus were cloned and deposited in the GenBank with accession numbers of JF728809, JF728810, JF728811, JF728807 and JF728806, respectively. Furthermore, mRNA expressions of the five genes and β-actin were measured by qPCR with insect samples of different instar at nymph stage, and the expression stabilities were determined by the software geNorm and NormFinder. As a result, ARF and RPL9 were consistently more stable than β-actin, while three TUB genes were less stable than β-actin. To determine the optimal number of reference genes used in qPCR, a pairwise variations analysis by geNorm indicated that two references ARF and RPL9 were required to obtain the accurate quantification. These results were fiarther confirmed by the validation qPCR experiment with chitinase gene as the target gene, in which the standard error of the mRNA quantification by using binary reference ARF-RPL9 was much lower than those by ARF, RPL9 or β-actin alone. Taken together, our study suggested that the combination of ARF-RPL9 could replace β-actin as the reference genes for qPCR in L. striatellus.

Based on the experience and advanced methods of foreign railway enterprises, the thesis studies the way and measures for the Chinese railway enterprises to improve the labor productivity in the new historical period and provides policy suggestions for further improving labor productivity in Chinese railway enterprises.

Rat models of acute spinal cord injury and sciatic nerve injury were established. Apelin expression in spinal cord tissue was determined. In normal rat spinal cords, apelin expression was visible; however, 2 hours post spinal cord injury, apelin expression peaked. Apelin expression increased 1 day post ligation of the sciatic nerve compared with normal rat spinal cords, and peaked at 3 days. Apelin expression was greater in the posterior horn compared with the anterior horn at each time point when compared with the normal group. The onset of neuronal apoptosis was significantly delayed following injection of apelin protein at the stump of the sciatic nerve, and the number of apoptotic cells after injury was reduced when compared with normal spinal cords. Our results indicate that apelin is expressed in the normal spinal cord and central nervous system after peripheral nerve injury. Apelin protein can reduce motor neuron apoptosis in the spinal cord anterior horn and delay the onset of apoptosis.

Relative humidity-dependent evolution of molecular composition ofα-pinene secondary organic aerosol upon heterogeneous oxidation by hydroxyl radicals

Porous structure of the super absorbent polymer(SAP) was synthesized through inverse suspension method by adding acrylic acid(AA) and acrylic amide(AM) as monomer, N,N’-Methylene-bis-acrylamide(MBA) as cross-linking agent,the mixed solution of methanol and ethanol as pore-foaming *** factors that influenced the bibulous performance of the super absorbent polymer were studied including the dosage of cross-linking agent,the dosage of pore-foaming agent,monomer ratio,revolving *** Internal structure and surface morphology of SAP was characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM).It indicated that when the monomer ratio was m(AM):m(AA)=1:2;the weight rate of cross-linking agent and pore-foaming agent were 0.06%(compared with the quality of the monomer) and 9%,the product attained the best water absorbency of 2909 g/g in distilled water,the saline absorbency was 124.5 g/g;the water absorption rate was 10(ml/g·s).Meanwhile,SEM showed that the structure of the copolymer was full of holes.

Heterogeneous oxidation by gas-phase oxidants is an important chemical transformation pathway of secondary organic aerosol(SOA)and plays an important role in controlling the abundance,properties,as well as climate and health impacts of ***,our knowledge on this heterogeneous chemistry remains *** this study,the heterogeneous oxidation ofα-pinene ozonolysis SOA by hydroxyl(OH)radicals was investigated under both low and high relative humidity(RH)conditions,with an emphasis on the evolution of molecular composition of SOA and its RH *** is found that the heterogeneous oxidation of SOA at an OH exposure level equivalent to 12 hr of atmospheric aging leads to particle mass loss of 60%at 25%RH and 95%at 90%*** heterogeneous oxidation strongly changes the molecular composition of *** dimer-to-monomer signal ratios increase dramatically with rising OH exposure,in particular under high RH conditions,suggesting that aerosol water stimulates the reaction of monomers with OH radicals more than that of *** addition,the typical SOA tracer compounds such as pinic acid,pinonic acid,hydroxy pinonic acid and dimer esters(e.g.,C17H26O8 and C19H28O7)have lifetimes of several hours against heterogeneous OH oxidation under typical atmospheric conditions,which highlights the need for the consideration of their heterogeneous loss in the estimation of monoterpene SOA concentrations using tracer-based *** study sheds lights on the heterogeneous oxidation chemistry ofmonoterpene SOA andwould help to understand their evolution and impacts in the atmosphere.

The global spin alignment of vector mesons has been observed by the STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider(RHIC)at Brookhaven National Laboratory(BNL).It provides a unique opportunity to probe the correlation between the po-larized quark and antiquark in the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma(sQGP)produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions,opening a new window to explore the properties of *** addition,spin alignments of vector mesons have also been observed in other high-energy particle collisions such as e^(+)e^(−)annihilations at high energies where hadron production is dominated by quark fragmentation *** results obtained are quite different from those obtained in heavy ion collisions where quark coalescence/combination mechanism dominates suggesting strong dependence on hadronization *** comprehensive studies in different hadronization processes are *** this article,we present a brief review of theoretical and experimen-tal advances in the study of vector meson’s spin alignments in a variety of high-energy particle collisions,with emphasis on hadronization mechanisms.
