Convex-up Style of Deformation within Grabens in Regions of Incomplete Crossing Conjugate Normal Faults: A Numerical Simulation Investigation and Case Study

Crossing conjugate normal faults(CCNFs)are extensively developed in many hydrocarbon-producing basins,generally existing in the form of incomplete ***,the effect of the non-conjugate zone of the CCNFs on the conjugate relay zone post late tectonic action has not been previously *** use 3D elastic-plastic modeling to investigate the influence of incomplete(i.e.,partially intersecting)CCNFs on the pattern of deformation of strata in the intersection region.A series of model simulations were performed to examine the effects of horizontal tectonic extension,fault size,and fault depth on the deformation of conjugate relay zones of incomplete *** analyses yielded the following results.(1)The model of incomplete conjugation predicts a convex-up style of deformation in the conjugate graben region superimposed on overall subsidence under applied horizontal tectonic extension.(2)The degree of convex-up deformation of the conjugate graben depends on the influence of the non-conjugate zone on the conjugate relay zone,which varies with the amount of horizontal tectonic extension,fault size,and fault burial depth.(3)Our results indicate that incomplete CCNFs can form convex-up deformation,similar to that in the Nanpu Sag area and provide a sound understanding of hydrocarbon migration and accumulation.

A new integrated model of deformation resistance and its application in prediction of rolling force of a thick plate

The prediction accuracy of existing models of the rolling force of a thick plate is always very *** address this problem,a high-precision genetic algorithm-backpropagation network(GA-BP)model of deformation resistance was built,and its integration with the traditional fitted model was further ***,a novel rolling force model was obtained by embedding the integration model of deformation resistance in the original model of rolling *** to this research idea,the industrial data are normalized at *** this basis,the interactions among the process parameters were disclosed through the variance analysis,and then described by various virtual *** factors are set as part of input ***,the optimal structure of the GA-BP model of deformation resistance was determined and an integration model of deformation resistance was ***,a novel rolling force model is obtained by substituting the traditional fitted deformation resistance into the Sims model with the integration model of the deformation *** results proves that the introduction of virtual factors can increase the hit rate of±5%from 75.8%to 78%and can reduce the root mean square error from 4.72%to 4.48%.Besides,it is found that the mean relative error of the traditional fitted deformation resistance is 0.142,while that of the modified deformation resistance is only *** addition,the mean relative error in the original rolling force model is 0.145,while that of the present model is only 0.03.

Impact of Mo/Ni alloying on microstructural modulation and low-temperature toughness of high-strength low-alloy steel

The high-strength low-alloy steel plates with varying Ni/Mo contents were manufactured using the thermos-mechanical control *** investigation was conducted to explore the effect of Ni/Mo microalloying on microstructure evolution and mechanical properties of the *** results revealed that the increase in Ni content from 1 to 2 wt.%reduced the transition temperature of ferrite and the growth range of ferritic grain was narrowed,which promoted grain *** optimized combination of grain size,high-angle grain boundaries(HAGBs),and martensite-austenite(M-A)islands parameter contributed to the excellent impact toughness of S1 steel at-100℃(impact absorbed energy of 218.2 J at-100℃).As the Mo increases from 0 to 2 wt.%,the matrix structure changes from multiphase structure to granular bainite,which increases the average effective grain size to~4.62 pm and reduces HAGBs proportion to~36.22%.With these changes,the low-temperature impact toughness of S3 steel is *** addition,based on the analysis of the characteristics of crack propagation path,it was found that M-A islands with low content(~2.21%)and small size(~1.76 pm)significantly retarded crack propagation,and the fracture model of M-A islands with different morphologies was further ***,correlation between behaviour of delamination and toughness was further analysed by observing delamination size and impact energy parameters.

Critical dynamics of the random Ising model with long-range interaction decaying as r-(d+σ) where d is the dimensionality) is studied by the theoretic renormalization-group approach. The system is released to an evolution within a model A dynamics. Asymptotic scaling laws are studied in a frame of the expansion in = 2σ - d. In dimensions d ＜ 2σ. the dynamic exponent z is calculated to the second order in at the random fixed point.

Effect of Ellipsoidal Particle Shape on Tribological Properties of Lubricants Containing Nanoparticles

Adding nanoparticles can significantly improve the tribological properties of ***,there is a lack of understanding regarding the influence of nanoparticle shape on lubrication *** this work,the influence of diamond nanoparticles(DNPs)on the tribological properties of lubricants is investigated through friction ***,the friction characteristics of lubricants regarding ellipsoidal particle shape are investigated using molecular dynamics(MD)*** results show that DNPs can drastically lower the lubricant's friction coefficientμfrom 0.21 to *** shearing process reveals that as the aspect ratio(α)of the nanoparticles approaches 1.0,the friction performance improves,and wear on the wall *** the same time,the shape of the nanoparticles tends to be *** 0.85≤α≤1.0,rolling is ellipsoidal particles'main form of motion,and the friction force changes according to a periodic sinusoidal *** the range of 0.80≤αlipsoidal particles primarily exhibit sliding as the dominant movement ***αdecreases within this range,the friction force progressively *** friction coefficientμcalculated through MD simulation is 0.128,which is consistent with the experimental data.

Most animal-pollinated flowers offer nectar or pollen as a reward to their pollinators. A small fraction, however, have switched to other rewards, such as fatty oils offered in glandular hairs or just below the epidermis. This type of reward has evolved in some 150 genera in at least 11 families, including South American and African Orchidaceae [1,2]. Oiloffering flowers are exploited by a few hundred species of oil-collecting bees in temperate and tropical biomes on all continents except Antarctica [1,2]. Oil bees depend obligatorily on floral oil for cell lining and as larval food [3,4], which is why oil collecting usually is confined to female bees.

Ultra reliability and massive connectivity provision in integrated internet of military things(IoMT)based on tactical datalink

Enhanced photocatalytic performance by regulating the Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratio in cerium dioxide

Cerium dioxide(CeO_(2))photocatalysts are used in treating environmental pollution and addressing the energy crisis due to their excellent oxygen storage capacities and abundant oxygen *** this paper,CeO_(2)precursors were synthesized with different water-alcohol ratios via a solvothermal method,and CeO_(2)photocatalysts with different Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios were obtained by changing the precursor calcination atmospheres(air,Ar)as well as the calcination *** effects of CeO_(2)with different Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios in photocatalytic degradations of methylene blue under visible light were investigated.X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy results showed that the surfaces of the samples calcined under Ar had higher Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)ratios and oxygen vacancy concentrations,which reduced the band gaps of the catalysts and improved their utilization of visible *** addition,the many Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)redox centers and oxygen vacancies on the sample surfaces improved the separation and transfer efficiencies of the photogenerated *** sample C2-Ar calcined under Ar showed a high adsorption capacity and excellent photocatalytic activity by removing 96%of the methylene blue within 120 min,which was more than twice the degradation rate of the sample(C2-air)prepared via calcination under *** experiments showed that photogenerated holes played a key role in the photocatalytic *** addition,a synergistic photocatalytic mechanism for the Ce^(3+)/Ce^(4+)redox centers and oxygen vacancies was elucidated in detail,and the sensitization of cerium dioxide by dyes aided the degradation of methylene blue.

Sensitive measurement of silver ions in environmental water samples integrating magnetic ion-imprinted solid phase extraction and carbon dot fluorescent sensor

Increasing use of silver in various fields has caused Ag^(+)pollution in water environment,taking great threats to people’s *** a consequence,establishing rapid and reliable methods for sensitive determination of Ag^(+)is of great ***(FL)sensors based on carbon dots(CDs),an excellent carbonaceous nanomaterial with strong and stable fluorescence,have absorbed extensive attentions in analysis of pollutants due to its advantages of carbon sources being readily available,low cost,easy operation and fast ***,ion-imprinting is a better way to increase the selectivity of the proposed *** work described an effective method for the sensitive measurement of silver ion in water samples in combination with magnetic ion-imprinted solid phase extraction and CDs based fluorescent sensor,which took full advantages of easy separation and high enrichment of magnetic solid phase extraction,high selectivity of ion-imprinting technology,and sensitivity and rapid response of fluorescent sensor from ***-doped CDs derived from dithizone and magnetic ion-imprinted nanomaterial were prepared,and characterized with Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy and transmission electron microscope,*** Ag^(+)imprinted nanomaterial based solid phase extraction was employed for separating and enriching Ag^(+)from water *** significant parameters were optimized in *** the optimal conditions,the proposed method provided good linearity in the range of 0.01-0.4μmol/L and low detection limit of 3 nmol/*** reliability of the proposed method was validated with real water samples,and the results demonstrated that the proposed method was simple,robust,selective and sensitive detection tool for Ag^(+)in real water samples.
