This paper developed a comprehensive evaluation system that was able to quantify the levels of high-quality development across the cities within the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle,and investigate the impact that digital finance had on the cities’high-quality development and the underlying mechanisms through which it achieved this.This comprehensive evaluation system was constructed using statistical data from these cities for the period 2014 to 2020 while also taking China’s high-quality development philosophy into account.The key findings revealed that:(a)Digital finance was able to significantly promote high-quality development in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle;(b)Digital finance had a significant positive effect in promoting innovative,coordinated,green,open,and shared development;(c)Digital finance was able to stimulate the high-quality development in the Chengdu-Chongqing economic circle by boosting entrepreneurial dynamism;(d)Digital finance had a significant impact on the high-quality development of the axis areas,while its impact was less discernible in non-axis areas.The insights from this research offer a deeper understanding of the factors that drive high-quality development,the role digital finance plays,and the mechanisms through which digital finance is able to propel high-quality development at the city cluster scale.

Tree radial growth can have significantly different responses to climate change depending on the environment. To elucidate the effects of climate on radial growth and stable carbon isotope(δ13C) fractionation of qinghai spruce（Picea crassifolia）, a widely distributed native conifer in northwestern China in different environments,we developed chronologies for tree-ring widths and δ13C in trees on the southern and northern slopes of the Qilian Mountains, and analysed the relationship between these treering variables and major climatic factors. Tree-ring widths were strongly influenced by climatic factors early in the growing season, and the radial growth in trees on the northern slopes was more sensitive to climate than in trees on the southern. Tree-ring δ13C was more sensitive to climate than radial growth. δ13C fractionation was mainly influenced by summer temperature and precipitation early in the growing season. Stomatal conductance more strongly limited stable carbon isotope fractionation in tree rings than photosynthetic rate did. The response between tree rings and climate in mountains gradually weakened as climate warmed. Changes in radial growth and stable carbon isotope fractionation of P. crassifolia in response to climate in the Qilian Mountains may be further complicated by continued climate change.

Objective:To investigate the effects of Pien Tze Huang(PZH) on the migration and invasion of HCC cells and underlying molecular mechanism.Methods:Cell counting kit-8(CCK-8) was applied to evaluate the cell viabilities of SMMC-7721,SK-Hep-1,C3A and HL-7702(6 × 10^(3)cells/well) co-incubated with different concentrations of PZH(0,0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8 mg/mL) for 24 h.Transwell,wound healing assay,CCK-8and Annexin V-FITC/PI staining were conducted to investigate the effects of PZH on the migration,invasion,proliferation and apoptosis of SK-Hep-1 and SMMC-7721 cells(650 μg/mL for SK-Hep-1 cells and 330 μg/mL for SMMC-7721 cells),respectively.In vivo,lung metastasis mouse model constructed by tail vein injection of HCC cells was used for evaluating the anti-metastasis function of PZH.SK-Hep-1 cells(10^(6)cells/200 μL per mice) were injected into B-NDG mice via tail vein.Totally 8 mice were randomly divided into PZH and control groups,4 mice in each group.After 2-d inoculation,mice in the PZH group were administered with PZH(250 mg/kg,daily) and mice in the control group received only vehicle(PBS) from the 2nd day after xenograft to day 17.Transcriptome analysis based on RNA-seq was subsequently used for deciphering anti-tumor mechanism of PZH.Quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(qRT-PCR) and Western blot were applied to verify RNA-seq results.Luciferase reporter assay was performed to examine the transcriptional activity of yes-associated protein(YAP).Results:PZH treatment significantly inhibited the migration,invasion,proliferation and promoted the apoptosis of HCC cells in vitro and in vivo(Pling pathway was associated with anti-metastasis function of PZH.Mechanical study showed PZH significantly inhibited the expressions of platelet derived growth factor receptor beta(PDGFRB),YAP,connective tissue growth factor(CCN2),N-cadherin,vimentin and matrix metallopeptidase 2(MMP2,P<0.01).Meanwhile,the phosphorylation of YAP was also enhanced by PZH treatment in v

While the spatial distribution pattern of fish is increasingly used for toxicological test o chemicals or wastewater,no ideal parameter is available for quantitative assessment of spa tial distribution,especially uneven distribution with multiple hotspots.Here,to develop a quantitative assessment parameter for spatial distribution,the zebrafish were exposed to ethanol,pentylenetetrazole(PTZ),paraquat dichloride(paraquat)and wastewater,followed by a behavioral test in a narrow tank.Behavioral data was acquired and analyzed by id Tracker and MATLAB.By comparing the effects of all treatments on behavior parameters we confirmed that the spatial distribution was more easily altered rather than general loco motor parameters,e.g.0.7-70 mg/L PTZ and 5-20 mg/L paraquat being effective for altering spatial distribution but having little effects on general locomotor parameters.Based on the heatmap,i.e.,the cumulative proportion of grids and that of frequency in grids,we calcu lated the behavioral Gini coefficient(G_(b))for quantitative assessment of fish spatial distri bution.The Gini coefficient ranged from zero to 1,with larger values meaning poorer even ness of spatial distribution.Of note,G_(b)showed smaller coefficient of variations(CV)with3%-19%between replicate tanks in all treatments than the highest frequency(4%-79%),dis playing well robustness.Especially,G_(b)addressed the challenge of the complicated heatmap with multiple hotspots.Overall,the behavioral Gini coefficient we established is an idea parameter to quantitatively assess spatial distribution of fish shoal,which is expected to be applied in toxicity testing for chemicals and wastewater and automatic quality monitoring for surface water and aquaculture water.

Fragmented data suggest that bisphenol AF(BPAF),a chemical widely used in a variety of products,might have potential impacts on the hypothalamus.Here,we employed male neonatal mice following maternal exposure to explore the effects of low-dose BPAF on hypothalamic development by RNA-sequencing.We found that maternal exposure to approximately 50μg/(kg·day)BPAF from postanal day(PND)0 to PND 15 altered the hypothalamic transcriptome,primarily involving the pathways and genes associated with extracellular matrix(ECM)and intercellular adhesion,neuroendocrine regulation,and neurological processes.Further RNA analysis confirmed the changes in the expression levels of concerned genes.Importantly,we further revealed that low-dose BPAF posed a stimulatory impact on pro-opiomelanocortin(POMC)neurons in the arcuate nucleus of the hypothalamus and induced the browning of inguinal white adipose tissue.All findings indicate that developmental exposure to low-dose BPAF could interfere with hypothalamic development and thereby lead to alterations in the metabolism.Interestingly,5000μg/(kg·day)BPAF caused slighter,non-significant or even inverse alterations than the low dose of 50μg/(kg·day),displaying a dose-independent effect.Further observations suggest that the the dose-independent effects of BPAF might be associated with oxidative stress and inflammatory responses caused by the high dose.Overall,our study highlights a risk of low-dose BPAF to human neuroendocrine regulation and metabolism.

BACKGROUND Regarding the incidence of malignant tumors in China,the incidence of liver cancer ranks fourth,second only to lung,gastric,and esophageal cancers.The case fatality rate ranks third after lung and cervical cancer.In a previous study,the whole-process management model was applied to patients with breast cancer,which effectively reduced their negative emotions and improved treatment adherence and nursing satisfaction.METHODS In this single-center,randomized,controlled study,60 randomly selected patients with liver cancer who had been admitted to our hospital from January 2021 to January 2022 were randomly divided into an observation group(n=30),who received whole-process case management on the basis of routine nursing mea-sures,and a control group(n=30),who were given routine nursing measures.We compared differences between the two groups in terms of anxiety,depression,the level of hope,self-care ability,symptom distress,sleep quality,and quality of life.RESULTS Post-intervention,Hamilton anxiety scale,Hamilton depression scale,memory symptom assessment scale,and Pittsburgh sleep quality index scores in both groups were lower than those pre-intervention,and the observation group had lower scores than the control group(Plity assessment scale-revision in Chinese,and quality of life measurement scale for patients with liver cancer scores in both groups were higher than those pre-intervention,with higher scores in the observation group compared with the control group(Pliver cancer,alleviate symptoms and problems,and improve the level of hope,self-care ability,sleep quality,and quality of life,as well as provide feasible nursing alternatives for patients with liver cancer.

Background A more comprehensive assessment of growth and nutrition in children is required in China due to rapid socioeconomic processes.We aimed to investigate height and body mass index(BMI)trajectories from 1975 to 2015 and the prevalence of stunting and obesity in 2016 among children in Chinese cities.Methods A total of 904,263 children from birth to 6.9 years were collected from a series of nationally representative surveys in China.Height and BMI trajectories and prevalence of stunting,underweight,overweight and obesity were assessed.Results The average height level of Chinese urban children under 7 years presented a positive secular trend from 1975 to 2015;however,a slowing tendency occurred in 2005‒2015.An apparent increase was observed at the 5th,50th and 95th percentiles of BMI in urban children aged 3 years and older,with a more prominent increase at the 95th percentile.The total prevalence of stunting and underweight under 7 years was 1.4%and 2.0%,respectively.The total prevalence of overweight and obesity under 7 years was 12.6%and 4.3%,respectively,with 12.7%and 4.9%for boys,12.6%and 3.6%for girls,12.1%and 4.0%in urban areas and 13.1%and 4.5%in suburban rural areas.Conclusions The average height level of Chinese urban children has reached World Health Organization child growth standards since 2005 and presented a slowing tendency in secular trend in 2005‒2015.More attention and efforts and public health interventions should be urgently made to combat overweight and obesity among preschool children.
